Amber Oud Bleu Edition

Excellent frag, my go-to grab for office and professional settings due to intimate sillage and non-offensive scent when applied on me: two sprays on neck, two sprays on wrist. 5-6 hours of performance. More intimate to less moderate projection. I own Blue de Chanel (BdC), and have sampled many other "blue" fragrances. I like this better than Bleu de Chanel (BdC) and no other blue has caught my attention like this one. To me, this frag captures more of the "clean, freshly-showered" character that I want from blue fragrances, and outdoes BdC in this regard. Conventional and safe. Niche frag lovers may find this too basic. Everyone needs a good blue in their collection though. At this pricepoint ($60 USD for 100ml as of time of writing), this is very good value. Sometimes, I see it drop down to $40 for 100ml. Packaging is extra and unnecessary but that does not affect the fragrance.

Great cheap blue scent, buy it if you are into Bleu De Channel or Dylan Blue kinda fragrances, you wont be dissapointed! However dont expect those performances....

Pretty darn close to BDC. Not as powdery though. Great warm weather scent. Long lasting. Very safe for office wear. Compliment magnet. Great blind buy.

Great feagrance in the ballpark of Bleu de chanel, not 1:1 clone, but very similar and more interesting to me. Great longetivity and aura !

This is not as complex as BDC, it is more floral I think I smell a lot of lilac in the mid and drydown. What is super interesting about this fragrance though is the opening. The opening is so ZINGY, it has this totally bright candied NEROLI and with hints of orange. The neroli is so BRIGHT and sharp that it totally awakened me. Very stimulating, despite the sharpness, it's totally yummy, like candy even though some part of you would expect it to be sour. Unfortunatelly, the lilac gives this damp smell that kinda breaks the fragrance after like 5 mintues. I totally agree that it does not smell expensive. It's like a floral damp lilac with neroli, and BDC vibe. The drydown goes further into the olibanum lilac territorry. What it has similiar to BDC is the oceanic feel with the mint vetiver and spicy woods. Definitely evokes a oceanic feel to some extent. The price is tough, but I was rich I would get this fragrance just for the opening. The opening blew me away. So in summarry. Imagine BDC bright version in a white bottle. The opening is bright candied neroli, it's so yummy you would bite on it, and it totally awakens you. And then for the middle notes take out some of the shower-gel vibe and incense, and replace it with lilac mid note. The drydown goes into BDC shower gel accord with olibanum and lilac again. If this sounds interesting to you, give it a try. This definitely is NOT a replacement for BDC, but if this was a flanker, it would be like a bright pastel blue bottle. This is a fun envigorating, bright floral take on BDC. It's not at all serious, or professional like BDC. Review context: Spring evening, 19°C, after day of raining (85% humidity), I had Kenzo Homme EDT on the other hand. (It might be the case that the high humidity caused the lilac note to be a bit distracting, I will try it again some other day)

Presentation: 9/10 Comes in hingelid box with a golden frontal metal plate. Cushioned nicely. The cap is metal and heavy. The bottle is glass and heavy with an identical frontal metal plate to the box. Bottle design isn't out of this world, but has character to it. Atomizer is very high quality. Scent: 7.5/10 Fresh opening that presents a beautiful natural blend of grapefruit, ginger, olibanum, patchouli, vetiver, jasmine, lemon and cedar. I get a hint of pink pepper, a tiny hint of mint, and a hint of sandalwood. In the opening, I especially get the vetiver, jasmine, grapefruit, and ginger notes. The drydown is more what brings this scent's score lower for me. All of these notes that thrived in the opening become increasingly more stale and leave you unsatisfied. Still, the opening is bright and refreshing. 80% masculine scent. Performance: 7.5/10 Lasts a good 6hrs on my skin, which is decent for a fresh scent of this profile. Projection is nothing crazy. While the opening does come off strong, it settles down pretty quick and stays closer to the skin after about 1hr or so. Lasts about an hour longer on clothes than on skin. The versatility of this fragrance is high, I can wear it to just about any occasion, especially work or the gym. Personal Bias: 7/10 Not my favorite scent profile in the world. I think a lot of the green and fresh notes settle in a somewhat unpleasant and underwhelming way, but I still imagine I will be wearing this one a decent amount for casual/workplace outings. Final Score: 7.8/10

I've owned this one for a while and am just now getting around to reviewing it. This is a very blue, light citrusy scent with resinous, woody/amber base. Since I do own BdC, I think it is a fair comparison, although there are some overall differences. This is a much more blue whereas BdC is powdery. This has a resinous, amber sweetness whereas BdC is a bit dryer. The main downside would probably be the performance, which is one of the weaker ones in my collection. I'm a pretty light sprayer either way and usually stick to 2-3 sprays, but if feels like 4 or 5 sprays of this would be needed for it to stick around (although BdC is not a great performer either). I do think this is a decent scent, and if you do spray enough, the dry down is really nice. This is definitely a mens scent although it's not too masculine and I would say is generally safe in most occasions and settings. While the scent quality is not on the same level as Chanel, I do think I do think there are a few other scents in this category that would be worth trying before committing to this, although for the price and quality I think this is a good deal. Overall, I give this scent a 7.5/10. It's more or less a basic blue scent, but it does its job pretty well.

In the same realm as BDC and will remind you of it, however the scent isn't quite there, with this particular fragrance leaning heavily on a soapy and citrus based woody accord. It's extremely safe and smells nice but definitely not as good as BDC. I own the EDP and Parfum and this gets like 75-80% of the way there. It's not as rich or sweet as the real deal but for $45 it is a solid pickup! Personally it's an 8.2/10 for me really solid fragrance overall but doesn't hit the highs of what it's cloning.

Smells just like edp just a bit less powdery and more citrusy metallic, not as metallic as the edt though. Quality is decent enough, better than some other BDC dupes I've tried. Longevity is moderate, pretty average though this outlasts any of the real Chanels, my BDC EDP lasts about one hour lmao so this is way better in that regard, 3-4 hours on my skin with one hour of decent projection. Okay for the price but with Iconic being cheaper i would just go for that.

Clean and fresh blue fragrance. Safe and easy to wear everywhere. For me, all the blue fragrances smells more or less the same and yes, it's closed to BDC. If you like BDC or any other Blue fragrance you can blind buy it. You'll be not surprised or disappointed.

#321 in my "Tour de Fragrance" Bleu de Chanel? Club de Nuit Blue Iconic? Dylan Blue? Narciso Rodriguez Bleu Private Edition? I have them all. The differences between them is almost niggling. The Rodriguez formula is probably the least potent. Then Dylan Blue. Blue Iconic maybe a bit sharper. I honestly can't tell the difference between this stuff and Blue de Chanel. Both are moderate performers, and I am not a fan of moderate performance unless I'm going to spend the day in a conference room or attending a funeral. So if you like this DNA, I would get whichever you find at the lowest discount. Won't make much of a difference by mid-morning coffee break. The really expensive presentation box this comes in is a stupid waste of money, has no other uses and takes up needless landfill space. I ordered every version before I realized this and the hard cases filled a garbage bin. It's irresponsible packaging. So they won't be getting a repeat buy from me unless it's a tester in a carboard box..

Blind bought a 60ml for $40. Nah. I’ve never worn BDC but I’ve smelled it in the wild plenty. This is not a great clone. Smells synthetic and strange. Ginger is wound way up, bitter lemon in the open is very reminiscent of lemon pine-sol, thankfully it’s muted. Patchouli/amber skin scent in under an hour, no incense to my nose. Artificial ginger goes way too hard & I generally like ginger in frags. Bottle is attractive, sprayer is pretty good. Longevity isn’t great, 5-6h & gone. Gold edition & tobacco edition are monster performers, so this is a let down. $40 should have gone towards a bottle of BDC or something else, this gets a pass. EDIT - Top has settled a bit after a few months. Sprayed in cooler weather this is smoother. Still not a great performer or WOW-scent. EDIT #2 - Amber Oud Bleu Exclusif is 💣💥🔥

It’s a nice pleasant scent great signature or work fragrance. Good for year round use. Excellent presentation and atomizer. Performance on me is meh. Nice budget option for BDC but may have better alternatives. Did get a compliment a few hours into wearing. Probably the weakest one in the Amber Oud line up for me. 3/5.

Used to be my signature scent but i haven’t used it in a while. I think there are better BDC clones but this isn’t bad. It’s a super fresh take on BDC. Blind buy safe.

Its like the blue version of drakkar noir The blue dr chanel smells much more nicer and better quality this costs 70$ and BDC edt 100$ Bdc is better

Saying you can't tell the difference between this and Bleu De Chanel is utterly laughable. Seriously, if you think this is an objectively comparable fragrance, you've lost the plot. That is the ONLY reason I'm posting on this scent. Do not, I repeat do not buy this because someone said it's nearly indistinguishable from BdC. IT IS NOT. It does not perform as well, even though BdC isn't a 10hr fragrance, this is weaker. BLEU de Chanel smells rich, smooth, distinguished etc. This is cheap smelling. People have lost their minds, I'm sorry. Look, I don't own many clones. I buy them to get a whiff and normally give them away. There are some standouts, but this ain't it. For a much better quality fragrance that is "similar" to BdC try Turathi Blue. They hype it as a Bvlgari Tygar clone, but it's closer to BdC than it is Tygar.

I own few of the collection: The Original Amber Oud also the Rouge, Gold, and Tobacco editions, and they are all good, I mean it in their own, without comparing them to the ones they get inspiration or are copies of. This one is the weakest, blandest and most unoriginal of all... by a lot. To the point I thought I was anosmic to it. But no, friends and co-workers barely smelled it on me... even though I sprayed several times. This was a let down for me.

Why would people go and buy 60ml for 58€ when you can add some money and get the real deal (BDC). I do buy dupes but the moment they start being expensive and hyped it's a BIG NO !

why would someone not just spend 60 bux more and get the real deal? yes its in the same genre, ballpark, neighborhood etc,.,,,the diff or lack of quality is clear no doubt and gets annoying quick,,,, this is funny to me since its a somewhat affordable scent to begin with,,, they cloning this as if it was Aventus or 540 etc.... the guy wearing this is telling you coors light is great tasting beer... lol btw this is aint worth it no chance!
