Amber Oud Ruby Edition

Very close to BR540 Extrait - about 95% identical. The opening is where Amber Oud Ruby is the most different, as it starts with a sharp alcohol blast, which luckily fades away after 15minutes. BR540 Extrait however has a more smooth floral opening (I guess it might the saffron?) Ruby gives off this "metallic" note (similar to Sauvage EDT, but more harsh) when I smell it up close. That might be unpleasant for some, I honestly don't mind (though I prefer the MFK's opening. Both have strong projection, but Ruby is slightly louder and feels more "aggressive". MFK's projection is just enough for me and still retains the aformentioned smootheness. When it comes to longevity, MFK's the winner here as it lasts +14 hours. While Ruby lasts around 10-11hours. Nevertheless, both last long enough for a whole day. In the far drydown, after 8 hours, it's near impossible to tell them apart, even when smelling up close. I'd say Ruby is 99% similar at this point. (The only hint that gives away is the faint "smoothness" that I get from MFK's) A great clone, almost perfect. The only downside of this fragrance for me is the first hour - the sharp alcohol opening and the harsh metallic note. The original is much smoother and pleasant, which I love. Well, can't complain much, since I bought it for 60€, haha. 9.5/10

People are so dramatic when it comes to reviews. A typical reviewer will spray on their skin and stuff their face right on it, smell it and make quick judgement. Middle Eastern oils need time to macerate which vary anywhere between 1 week to a few weeks DEPENDING on your skin type, dry skin oils are absorbed more so then oily skins. BR540 dna will nose blind you, do not spray in front of your face around your nose. Proper maceration is spray 10+ then flip your bottle upside down and spray some more to empty the stray, let it sit for a week, re check each week and you will experience how much the juice blossoms, its insane to me how people are quick to judge without understanding how juice is produced and methods used. This bottle is by far the closest "clone" to br540 extrait with Lattafa Ana Abiyedh Rouge a close second while armaf untold is almost identical to br540 edp. The key is allow it to macerate, don't spray around your face. What an absolute gorgeous scent my co workers can't even tell if i am using my original 540 extrait or not and 3 of them use br540 extrait.

Blind buy, was curious to see how it would compare to BR 540E and was pleasantly surprised. Very sweet fragrance but there’s a chilly, almost menthol like quality where it inebriates you with an odd spell of a scent profile. Compared to the original, It’s as if Al Haramain managed to capture the initial burst and blend of BR 540E and prolong it to at least a second hour, while the original dries down more rapidly and settles into a pleasant, soft sillage monster. Lasted about 8 hours before becoming a skin scent. I don’t find it smells of plastic, but that might just be the first couple sprays, as was the case with some of my other fragrances. It’s top notch for the price if you enjoy the idea of smelling like soft, sexy cotton candy melting in strawberry vodka. Light almond note but it’s really a stretch. It takes imagination to find it but once you lock on to the almond, it’s basically almond syrup. This is the feminine version of One Million Parfum nobody wanted. Great for gals, guys and everything on the spectrum, solid choice for breezy summer nights.

This is my update for this fragrance: My initial impression on this wasn’t very plesant as I got a huge blast of alcohol in the opening that didn’t seem to go away plus performance was moderate. It is little pricey for a clone and other cheap clones perfoms really well (although they smell synthetic up-close ) so I expected better. It is almost one month since I have received it, this perfume has improved tremendously in the mean time. No alcoholy opening anymore, smells exactly like The BR540 extrait plus performance is also great now. No more inconsistency.You will get at least 8 hours on skin and on clothes it lasts untill the next wash. The only downside now is it has the same nose blinding aspect as the original. If you face the same problem like me I will suggest to spray it for 5-10 times then keep it in a cold-dark place for at least one month. If you have received a legit one, it definitely will improve. So the final verdict is It is the best BR540 extrait clone I have tried so far it just needs some time to fully develop.

Alright it’s time for me to put a review out. I owned this before I bought the extant which I just got but before bought a full bottle I got a sample of it. Amber oud is not a horrible dupe of it. It’s it 1 to 1 and I can tell the difference? No. I’d say a good 85-89% similar. Does it last long? Absolutely. But not as long as the original. The similarities between this and the original is they both have the baccarat DNA point blank 😂. You’ll smell it and know it’s baccarat. The only difference is quality and the heavy price tag on the original. Not to say this doesn’t have quality bc it does, but not like the OG. If you’re balling on a budget and don’t want to spend 300-400 on the original, buy this. Granted this is the only br540 extrait dupe I’ve tried so it is what it is. P.S. you rarely smell the OG baccarat in public so if you do smell it or the DNA, there’s a small possibility it’s a dupe.

This fragrance is strikingly similar to the now-discontinued Amber Oud Rouge, but with a distinct and more masculine leaning scent profile. Having both in my collection, I'd unequivocally recommend opting for Ruby. Not only does it offer a better fragrance for the price, but you also get a more generous 100ml compared to the 60ml size of Rouge, which is increasingly challenging to find these days. Now, onto the review: While the opening might initially give off hints of almonds or an alcoholic note, this phase is short-lived. It gracefully steps into the background, allowing the Rouge DNA to take center stage with a more masculine and complete scent profile. In comparison to Rouge, I find myself wanting to wear Ruby more often. It's not only more appealing but also projects with more potency. A light, single spray is all you need to make a statement. Well done, Al-Haramain!

Ohh I love this fragrance. I got a 3.4 tester the other day and I have worn this every day since it arrived. It's candy sweet with a sparkling type of scent. Absolutely magical. I don't know what BK540 smells like, but if it is better than this, it might be worth the high price tag. I want to try Armaf's Untold because I'm sure it has this same DNA. There is an oil spray that I own with this scent called Sweven by Oakcha. It smells exactly like this but Amber Oud is louder and lasts longer and I got 3 times the amount of Amber Oud compared to the small bottle of Oakcha Sweven. Since Sweven is an oil, I use it in a diffuser so I can have that scent in my bedroom. One last note, I'm not partial to this type of fragrance. I love stuff across the board. Two of my other favorites are Lattafa Asad and Armaf Sillage and none smell anything alike. 10/10 for me on this one.

After drying down smells like BR540 extrait but has a very alcoholy opening, I am letting it macerate. Hope It will improve 😐 Update: I couldn’t resist using it again. After Spraying 10-15 Pumps, The alcohol brust has now gone. Now I am getting the sweet, airy saffron opening. Didn’t need to macerate. It has a good sillage but didn’t experienced the beast, room filler like other reviewers said. The longevity is a little bit tricky for me, on my skin It doesn’t last very long but on clothes it sticks forever. In the end, I am happy how it turned out 🥰. I will keep updating, it seems to get better with time. Note: I want to add one more thing. It smells litte bit different on skin vs clothes. On skin I get more salty and spicy notes but on clothes it is more sweet.

I own the Extrait and EDP versions of 540. I picked up Ruby since it was $55 for a 200ml just to see how it was. I’m not a clone fiend. I only own a 2016 CDNIM EDT and a 2022 Pure Parfum in my whole collection. But I need to say that this Ruby smells almost identical to my Extrait. Some folks complain about the sharpness at first spray but I get the same on my Extrait. The almond adds density to the sweet, airy saffron. It’s that same DNA as the EDP but it’s deeper and longer lasting. I get 12+ hours on skin with a few hours of broad projection. Great sillage. A 8.25/10. The same score I’d give the MFK. Quality is the same, to my nose. Anyone saying it’s very different to the MFK must have a much more sensitive nose than me.

I just got it today, and I sprayed just one spray on my arm to see if I needed to let it maturate. NOPE! It was as strong as it gets. I sprayed it before going to work and it is so amazing and long lasting. I don't know, I've never had problems with Amber Oud, and I've had Gold Edition and I have Tobacco Edition and they were all extremely strong. If this is how br540 extrait smells like (I know, I know, it is not exactly like it) then I'm all for it. Basically burnt sugar, leather and some salt in the deep drydown. Definitely signature scent worthy but not in a summer day. In a summer night is ok. So is basically a blue fragrance (kind of). Plus the atomiser is like Dior's, so that's another plus.

@pErsOnALytEAsE wherever you bought it from, get your money back. I have awful skin chemistry and scents usually last half as long as what it does on others. This scent does not go away! I'm talking 8 hours minimum but you can't get it off your skin or clothes. There is something that you said that is making me get paranoid about something and that is large bottles. I paid only £10 extra for an extra 50ml of Dior Homme Intense (150ml) and the performance is so below what others review online. I wonder if they water down the larger bottles. But definitely get your money back if you can, I can promise you this is a beast, from a man who struggles to get performance

Pretty damn sure hope this develops into something that is truly worth 60€ cause Ana Abiyed Rouge and Baroque Rouge Extrait are still winning. Edit after a month: this is very tricky! It comes off as bitter and metallic, almost bloody, sometimes. But then on clothes the cotton candy vibe remains for longer (several days even). Its indeed very dual, fleeting and challenging. Dont know if i would buy this again, its a love-hate relationship still. Edit in february 24: what the actual hell, now it started smelling like the real deal!!! I give up trying to comprehend maturation for BR clones because 4 months is A LOT of time.

Super awesome blind buy for me:) My wife and I love it, give it a minute to dry down and its glorious. Leans masculine, very similar to Armaf Untold which for me leans feminine. I guess it kind of smells like Baccarat 540 Extrait but not really and i think its better after the dry down. Almonds yes, but Extrait has a strange pickle stage on my skin before it opens up. Could be my skin chemistry and lucky me because Ruby has a far more favorable price tage. Im super happy with it, highly recommend!

Some of these reviews are ridiculous. This is one of the best value scents you can get on the market. Yes, the OG is better but have you seen the price? If money isn't an option, get the OG but if you want to smell great and keep your house, get this. So, so good. Blown away at the quality and longevity. So close to the original. The best clone I've ever smelled... Ah, maybe CDN milestone is up there too but I think this is a better fragrance due to its performance

So i see what the other reviewers on here are saying, the first few sprays out of the bottle WILL smell like latex!! Rubber gloves/condoms whatever BUT after those few sprays and letting the bottle sit it will dissipate and smell lovely like br540e with great performance Half of these reviewers are judging right off the first spray which doesn’t do this fragrance justice 9/10 because of the latexy first few sprays other than that it’s gorgeous

The OG Amber Oud Rouge swathed in a cloth soaked in Sauvage. The opening on my skin reads very citric, metallic, and spicy, before it pares down to a noticeably more BR540/Amber Oud Rouge scent. Major projector, leaves a noticeable trail. Lasts all day on skin & even longer on clothes. Best suited in cool weather.

Amazing scent, poor performance: I bought the tester 200 ml, the scent is amazing, almost the same that BR540 extrait. The only bad thing is the performance, it’s not long lasting, just lasts 1h-2h. Maybe it’s a new batch, so I will let it macerate for a couple of weeks hoping to get a better performance.

This dupe of BR540 extrait is one of the best ones . It takes time to macerate . Took mine about 3-4 weeks but once it macerated ? Compliment getter for sure . I see why people love that BR540 DNA. I’ll for sure look into coping the OG and following the same maceration process. Rating : 8.8/10

Not 1 to 1 with baccarat rouge 540 elixir but very close 85%. Needs macerating for sure. I’ve had mine for about a year and it’s so strong now that it can last on my clothes for weeks and when my wife uses it I can still smell it in the house 4 hours after she leaves.

Not sure why I'm getting a huge blast of Oud in the opening, maybe there's a note I'm mistaking for Oud but I smell Oud very very prominently on the opening and it last 30 minutes before turning into str8 BR540

Excellent almond note in this. Makes it really smooth and sensual. Very close inspiration, in my opinion, and one that is signature worthy, if you like that time of DNA.

a bit "latexy" in the beginning but 30 mins later i dare you to tell the difference between this and 540. Great buy.

Ruby smells exactly like rogue for a better price point with the 4oz. I got the standard bottle for $70 USD.

Remind me of Bakarat rouge a lot It’s more feminine, but I like it. It’s a sweet perfume for winter.

Creamy, slightly woody, and sweet. I also like to describe it as “ethereal.” This DNA, although widely copied, including this fragrance being a take on Baccarat Rouge, remains very interesting and unlike anything else out there. For me, it represents a category of its own: synthetic, but not aggressive; sweet, but not childish. It’s an elegant, clearly unisex fragrance. My main use, and the one I enjoy most, is layering. I combine it with more mature, classic, often masculine fragrances. It adds modernity and softness to otherwise strong, traditional scents, which is where it truly shines (for me). A point to note is olfactory fatigue. Many people, myself included, find that after a short while the fragrance seems to disappear from our own perception, even though others can still smell it. Initially, it feels strong and enveloping, like a bubble around you, but soon your brain acclimates and the scent seems to vanish. Because it is synthetic, strong, and can tire the nose quickly, I have experienced applying it in excess, trying to feel it more intensely, and the result was not enjoying the fragrance, but actually getting a headache. This is a reminder to be careful with how much you apply, both for yourself and for people around you. Do not overdo it! It is curious: it projects powerfully and creates presence, yet sensorially it fades quickly. Unlike fragrances where close smelling on the skin continues to deliver impact, this one is more about the surrounding aura than direct proximity. Quality and value are very good. If you like this fragrance style/DNA, this is a great option.

I was really quite mixed on this when I first got it. I couldn’t smell it very much, so I had to let this sit and macerate for about three months, when I finally sprayed it back on my skin after having to ignore the harsh rubbing alcohol opening I actually kind of liked it. As far as it goes as a clone, I’d say it’s probably 70% the way there. It’s really captures the screechiness along with the almond note, but hey, BR540 extrait is like $450 for a 50ml and I haven’t tried other dupes but so far this one isn’t too bad despite how harsh I might have sounded on it, I’d say try it out if you like the DNA

Like the vast majority of clones, they go all the way across the railway lines to the front door of the up-town original but just fall short and don't make it in. Great for layering with other scents, but the unpolished edges are still here, the lack of 'finishing-school' is noticeable. I like it, I can't afford a bottle of the original, but that's OK, some things should remain out of reach for now, something to strive for maybe. I wouldn't ever want a dupe of say, Dior Homme Parfum, it would never measure up and seem somewhat hollow. So yeah, this is fun, but not the whole cigar.

I got a tester of this, and honestly it smells pretty damn good. I don't know if it's luck or if it's a pretty good dupe for the price. I must say I agree with the burnt saffron note that another used to describe it but I kinda like that vibe, the almondly joy is in effect too. I feel for those who are saying they have to let it sit and macerate because I feel this is super wearable right out of the gate for me. I feel this is a good product but with the mixed reviews maybe a look into another dupe or a sample of this before commiting to a full bottle.

Purchased it from jomashop, not sure if it’s authentic although I think it says so on the the site but reason being is that it last for a second sadly on clothes* On my skin it stays close, but last 5-6 hours. Does smell like baccarat but this the haramain version imo does have a stronger synthetic note somewhere in it not sure if it’s my batch or not. But I’d get the 2.0oz tester or the regular 2.0oz I like the scent always wanted baccarat never wanted to pay the penny. But I might favor club de nuit over ruby .

I got this about a month ago and didn’t like it initially—too latexy and the muskiness made it lean too masculine. I let it sit in my closet and tried again recently and I like it much better now that the overpowering latex smell is not so strong. I have never smelled BR540 extrait so I can’t compare but this smells good—just not as sweet as BR540 edp. I think the oud makes this a drier, more masculine smell than what I was hoping for but I still recommend it if you like BR.

This is a very good clone 85-90 Percent close. For the price it’s a steal yes the original is still The best but at 250 800 dollars what do u expect but for a clone that’s affordable this is a deal. Longevity is ok with two sprays but I will have to let macerate and come back to it. But again very close to the original. A bit more latex then the extrait but for the price who cares. Sold my original cause this is that good I get whiffs off my whiff thru out the day

Amber Oud Ruby is not the same as Amber Oud Rouge. I have both and tested them side by side. Ruby is almondy in the beginning, then develops woodier, drier, projects and lasts more on the skin. Rouge is softer, muskier and more floral (jasmine). Rouge doesn’t last and it does not project as the Ruby edition.

Not a big fan of the scent profile. But I can say that this stuff is nuclear. Fills a room and wife can smell it one room over on the first rip. I ended up selling it. I just couldn't wear it. At about hour 6 it calmed down and smelled pleasant. Not sure if they forgot to water mine down or something.

Some Reviewers said that their batch reeked with alcohol smell, I found out that these are new batches and need time to macerate by the couple of spray tests I did I see it last over 24 hours on my skin and after I shower as well this is good, but can be better by macerating it.

When I purchased it three years ago, it was the closest thing to BR 540 extrait. Now, I'm sure there are some that are better, but this is still a very close dupe. Very strong projection and longevity.

I don’t know how to feel about this so called BR540 clone. I wore Amber Oud Ruby out today and the smell was making me gag because of how much OUD is in this fragrance. I was looking for a good dupe for BR540 Extrait, which I have had in the past but don’t really want to spend that much again. I had the Orientica Amber Rouge which is a BR540 EDP dupe and it was lovely. Everybody absolutely loved it, I was getting so many compliments and I was in LOVE with it. I wanted to try something different so I bought this but right now... I hate it so much. The oud makes it so masculine I can’t even wear this, it makes me feel gross and I don’t want to smell like a man. This would be great on a gentleman but on a woman... it’s a no for me. Or do I let it macerate and sit on the shelf for a bit before trying it out again? I’m not sure but if anybody wants to trade this with me for a different BR540 Extrait dupe then I’m open to it!! I’m confused though - what do I do? Let it sit? Get rid of it? I hate it! :( UPDATE: I let this perfume sit in my cold bathroom drawer and what do you know... I'm in love with it. This happened with Orientica's Amber Rouge as well, I hated it and put it away for literally 2 months. Came back to it once I felt like I needed to switch up the Hypnotic Poison and was addicted. I am coming to believe that the BR540 DNA is something my nose needs to get used to and ponder overtime before falling in love. This thing is BEAST mode. I washed one of my shirts and it still smells like it. I wore this and I could smell a scent bubble around me for HOURS. Went to work, drove in my car under the sun, went to a restaurant, drove home, washed my clothes and when it came out of the drier everything smelt like this perfume. If you like the BR540 DNA, you will undoubtedly love this.

I have a 3ml sample and I won't be surprised if my grandchildren inherit it :) What I mean is that super strong and extremely long-lasting. I made a wrist spray 12 hours ago and I can still vividly feel it when I move hands. If to compare it to Untold, I'd say this one is more masculine. It's stronger, more intense and concentrated. I believe this must be a dupe for BR Extrait , not a regular one. I clearly can feel the 'medicine' note in it. Again I do not get it in Untold and Cloud. I would prefer Untold and Cloud, but probably because I consider this to be 'more male' version. And I am not a big fan of such sweet fragrances on men either. I say it's OK, even though I 'like'd it at first, but 8h later it was still really strong and it started to be intrusive. Now 12h+ I think that if I had to smell it every day, I' d go crazy. So by now I stick to 'OK', but it's such a delicate balance, that even one extra drop can disrupt it.

WE ALL GOT PLAYED So listen, this does not smell terrible....is it the best option for a BR540E clone....possibly. But you see, EVERYONE now knows this scent profile....even Ariana Grande w/ her "CLOUD" version. So if you are still into this scent, then YES.....GET THIS....save your coin. You are better off buying this if you are going to be smelling like everyone else. With that said, I also get the bitterness up front from the "almond" I guess LOLOOLOLLOL but it is still a pretty scent. I couldn't get through all of mine so I ended up using it in my aroma diffuser. My place smelled amazing. The longevity of this was 8+ hours on my skin and clothes the next day and even after washing my clothes....so very impressed with the concentration. Moral of the story...if you want to smell like everyone else and not break the bank...then this is the way to go. FOLLOW ME ON IG @ MOCTEZUMAC

This fragrance is a lot more feminine than the now discontinued “Amber Oud : Rouge”. It sits very close to the skin, not as concentrated as AOR. You can smell the BR540 DNA, but more than anything you smell the Bitter Almond. Slightly powdery and sweet , but not cloying. It doesn’t have the rubber / dentist office note, but it does have a slight alcohol smell upon first spray. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend, especially for the price. I’m sure you’d be able to find something at Bath & Body Works , that has more complexity & projects more. It honestly smells like the Designer’s Imposter version of BR540 that they sell at Walmart. Sadly, Al Haramain has missed the mark with this one for me. SB: I would recommend buying “Amber Rouge” by Al Haramain’s sister company Orientica.

*HONEST REVIEW* Had this perfume for 5 months now and it’s still full because i barely use it. Why? I tried so hard again and again to like it but i just find the smell to be really weird. If i were to describe it, to me it most of the time smells like a rusty metal, iron. Yeah you don’t really hear any perfumes being described this weird right? But it’s EXACTLY what i smell. What makes it worse is the bitter almond which gives a sharp bitter smell that painfully pierces your nose if you smell it too close. To summarize, all i smell in this perfume is wood , metal/iron , STRONG sickening oud. Overall it’s just really unique and weird. Most people wouldn’t really like this smell as they’re not used to smelling something so unusual, at least for me.

Update 2/3/2023 That bad scent has gone away after the first sprays. Strong and headache inducing if you use more than a couple of sprays. Also for me, I'd spray on the back of the neck and not in front, both the strength and sweetness is too much for my nose and so far I haven't gone nose blind to it, just the opposite, the scent seems to live in my nose. First spray I... don't know... I immediately pick up the almond, and I like that part. However, one of the other scents is hitting me in a bad way. That part smells gassy, not like a fart, but it immediately reminds me of one, and once I pick up on it I can't get it out of my nostrils.

I've got some of the worst reactions with this fragrance ever, multiple people told me I smell like an urinal the other day (with 2 sprays only, will try again with just one). I do like a smell of it, mostly I get cotton candy vibe with some musky sort of freshness, but I get anosmic to it really quickly. Maybe it just doesn't work with my skin. EDIT: just one spray works fine, but it still smells quite harsh up close, Mancera instant crush may not be as strong, but it is more pleasant to smell and is probably the best BR540 alternative nowadays

This fragrance honestly smells like BR540, and I feel like I would enjoy it way more if it actually lasted. I bought it last year because I wanted something that gave me that BR540 smell, but since the real fragrance is expensive, I did some research and saw a lot of people claiming this was one of the best alternatives. From my experience, it doesn’t even last two hours on my skin. Because of that, I rarely reach for it, and when I do, I usually end up disappointed. Trataron de imitar al baccarat rouge extract pero no les salio del todo bien, en el primer spray del perfume lo primero que se siente es un alcohol avinagrado y despues entra la nota que deberia imitar el olor del baccarat, ya en este punto si hay una similitud de ese aroma a caramelo rojo quemandose pero se desvanece rapido, quedando sutilmente y entra una nota metalica y avinagrada que no es del todo agradable. Proyecta normal y no dura casi nada.

It took a while to Macerate to the point where it doesn’t smell super alcohol-y. I like it much more now than I did when I initially ordered it a few years ago. I like it best for layering. I had got it originally because I fell in love with a sample of BR540 extrait. It doesn’t really compare to that one to me and I tend to prefer my Nemat Amber Musk oil to this for layering.

Well, I thought I would really enjoy this but I don’t. I’m not really getting the extrait here. It also has a very intense sharpness at the beginning that may be due to using a cheaper alcohol-which really isn’t acceptable for the $60-$70 range this typically goes for. I got mine for $30. Oil perfumery oil for the extrait version is much better (once it rests a while)

Great clone of a mediocre DNA - MFK BR540 Extrait. My bottle took ~6 months to maturate with ~20 large sprays expelled. Frankly unacceptable maturation timeframe, given the price. Excellent performance. I've smelt the OG BR540 Extrait a couple of times only from the atomiser, and this seems to be spot on.

Honestly, I kinda don't get why BR540 is a huge deal in the fragrance world... Smells just like burnt sugar. Maybe it's the pricetag, the marketing, or something that wows the critics by understanding the zeitgeist. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad, but I wouldn't say it's unique, stunning, or artistic.

Ok hear me out I thought it would smell similar to Al Haramain Rouge but instead it smells like Rouge and Al Haramain Gold Edition mixed together...its really weird to me especially the initial spray and then an hour later or so it settles a little bit...not sure how i feel about it just yet
