Angel

I've been on quite a journey was this scent. It's an almond-like scent with a citrus and herbal top and a long courmarinic dry down. Sweet without being cloying. A delight in summer. It was one of my first purchases when I got into perfumery and not really my style but I absolutely love it...you know that one outlier in your collection that doesn't really fit but you'd get into a fist fight to keep? I am running out of my OG bottle and needed to replace it, only to discover Al Haramain has discontinued it. This set me off on a dupe-seeking spree. I went through a string of trial stuff including a bottle of Givenchy Pi before I found Fashion Man by Roccobarocco. It's almost identical but lacks the citrus accord upfront , leaning into the almond/heliotrope more heavily. Close enough. Givenchy Pi is the reverse and is too short lived for me. My husband owns that now. If you combined the two, you would have Angel.

@Labaloo--yes, i love your description. so on point. thank you! ill add my own assessment too: forget the pyrmaid. the way this smells is nothing like the notes pyramid. click bait pyramid lol. to me this is a citrus fougere. white chocolate, sweet spearmint, over a balmy orange spice warm tea. unusual, interesting, and quite pleasing. reminds me of a fleur du male mixed with le male.... with the orange tones turned down and the fougere aspect up with the same performance and tenacity. good for men or women.

It starts very strong and almost mediciny. It's a smell from childhood but I can't really point my finger at it. Most people around me aren't big fans of it but after half an hour it goes into this sweet-fresh-spicy scent that I grew very fond of. I really like it now, thinking about buying a second bottle as it's super cheap! All in all, don't judge it with the first smell, give it some time.

In the beginning I small marzipan too! After a while, it becomes similar to Pi greco Givenchy (almost the same almondy, vanillic, balsamic and powdery smell). And finally, I can smell on my skin, for many hours, a lavender & vanilla talcum powder! I really like how it develops on my skin! It’s very long lasting too... I’m impressed!!!

This perfume is awesome... It smells nicely... Soft... I really love it... Recommended to all people who like soft and romantic perfumes... It is pure oil perfume... I believes it lasts long... You have done a good job al Haramain... Much better than a rip off expensive paris made perfume...

This is fantastic! All I smell in this is marzipan, so if you want to smell like marzipan, for hours on end, then please indulge! This lasts 7 hours on me, doesn't have huge projection, but I can smell it on me and my clothes, and i love it

Great mixture between Tonka Imperiale and A Taste of Heaven... Lavender, Rosemary, Amber, Vanilla and I could swear there is bitter almond...Smells expensive for a really low price.

Heliotrope and lavender. Straight up but very, very lovely and with impressive longevity. Would make a fantastic summer scent. Exceptional quality for the price.

A very good gourmand This smells like vanilla biscuits with sugar coating. It's delicious and very attractive.

Looking at the notes, I would have said no but luckily, I didn't do much research on this because it was so inexpensive. I've had a good bit of luck with blind buying the Arabian oils so far, usually enjoying what I've tried from many different companies. It amazes me how much change these little oils go through including this one. I don't get the hospital smell that some other reviewers have experienced, but it does open with a green herbal mixture of minty rosemary and bitter galbanum. I thought this was going to be a no at that point. It stays that way for a little while and then the nutmeg starts to come through. Before you know it, it has become a sweet perfume of vanilla and heliotrope with amber in the base. On me, it lasts a long while, at least 8 hours and the sillage is moderate.

I'm enjoying this little find. It reads as a Turkish Delight scent vs Marzipan on my skin, I swear there's a whiff of rose in there somewhere along with a dash of cherry. It dries down powdery as the heliotrope opens up. There's a lot of vanilla too. It's soft and pretty, but sillage is terrible. Even after the initial roll on of the oil, I have to press my nose on my wrist to smell it. Perhaps it will perform better on a warmer day. I found it for around $15 on Amazon, and that's about what it's worth. It's a pretty, sweet, slight gourmand with a hint of playdoh but nothing to obsess about tracking down. I like it, just wish it was more intense.

Angel smells interesting bitter-sweet oriental perfume, exactly the smell of vanilla with marzipan cause of the heliotrope. The top is weird, fresh rosemary, orange stuff and after half hour transforms into real vanilla marzipan. I think it's not overly sweet but for men it could be. Similar (not the same) to Givenchy Pí and Joop! le bain indeed. I wish the sillage was bigger, lasting is moderate about 4 hours. It's cheap and only 10ml pack, so you can take it with everywhere.

Yes, I do smell almonds too... it's more than just heliotrope. Base is coumarin, vanilla, amber, wood-notes, almonds; and then over this is delicate, clean herbal-florals, and light citrus-peel. It's like a simplified Mugler Angel, but reminds me more of things like Pi, Laguna, and Body Kouros. Unisex, but on the sweet side... Nice. I layered a little Bahrain Pearl over the top for a bit more complexity.

This is a comforting bakery fragrance. Might make a good base for another fragrance lacking one.

It is very strange smell, reminds me of hospital, and also of marzipan. IT ́s very aromatic. I cannot wear it now, it isnt cold, but think in a freezing winter it could be pleasant fragrance. And it ́s a truth that it lasts for many hours.

I would not recommend to Indians ...bcz i am an Indian ..n for me it smells like hospital smell ..like medicines in hospital ..so iam definitely disappointed by the oil ..n ya it last for a very long time

This is a sweet and pretty fragrance. I have gifted it too my Grandaughter as its very suited to the younger generation, although I Would still wear it myself.

It's a pleasant scent, but weirdly reminds me of a cheap men's shower gel...
