Fawah

Glad it has been added at last! Super fruity Fawah, at first reminds me a bit of a bubblegum, but soon becomes yummy and rich, smooth and sensual. Very long-lasting fragrance, I would call it strawberry in a coconut glaze. Everyone around loves it. The bottle is heavy and made from a honeycombs-like glass, I keep reaching for it pretty often, not typical for usually smoky-rosy Al Haramains, but thoroughly enjoyable.

This fragrance is actually close to a "neutral" for me; I don't dislike it... but it is just barely a "like". I was hoping, and half-expecting, something akin to either 'Makkah' or 'Salma', something deep and complex, certainly "fruity", perhaps with honeyed notes suggested by the motif on the beautiful flacon... What 'Fawah' is, instead, resembles a simple berry fragrance from Bath & Body Works: an indistinct berry-accord that might read as "raspberries" to some, "strawberries" to others, I get a whiff of peach as well, so the combo is something like the odor of the summer dessert called "peach melba", but, beyond this, is a simple, vanilla-tinged base of clean white musk- a bit *too* clean for my taste, in fact. And a dab of coconut-scented suntan lotion. And that's it. It is much like Al Rehab's 'Tooty Musk', to be honest. I don't sense jasmine, or powdery orris. I might sense the "cold" floral note of cyclamen or freesia lingering in a corner. A young girl enthralled with the color pink and all it suggests might be very happy with this... ... but I, nearly 50, devoted to exploring complex, mystifying examples of olfactory art, cannot pretend to be in the least bit thrilled... But the bottle... here is the conundrum: because it is SO lovely, it doesn't leave my hand easily for re-sale; instead, I've been attempting to layer this attar against other, base-heavy ones in hope of finding a winning combo and an excuse to keep Fawah in my collection. EDIT (30Jun19): I've found a winning combo! Fawah is quite lovely when layered equally with Al Haramain 'Million'... and then add a reserved "dot" or two of 'Salma', and blend, blend, blend.

This was suggested to me on more than one occasion as a great juicy, fun, fruity fragrance. I will be a half full kind of person and start with the good points. It is very reasonably priced. The 6ml dabber bottle is adorable and it only cost around $7 on eBay. It is VERY strong and VERY long lasting. I applied 1 little dab on each arm and I could still smell it after scrubbing with foam soap from a hospital up to my elbows. Now for what did not work for me. This smells just like Midnight Fantasy by Britney Spears and is even more cloying if that is even possible. This is not juicy nor tropical nor fun. It is just sweet, sweet, sweet. Not fruit sweet but corn syrup sweet and believe me I love sweet scents. I could not sense any coconut or 1 specific fruit. I know everyone is different and some are sure to love this, but definitely not me

Just got this from mail and testing it, so far I agree with Kendelen1999 its just syrup sweet artificially fruity so far but I’m so conflicted I have this unique heavy expensive bottle like a secret treasury ominously featuring honeycomb,so I want this to evolve into something, as I’ve learned attars always do. Like in Tanasuk this is what I thought of it as well its not bad but its not special Except when you layer it with contrasting smells! Out of all my other favourite perfumes it was Tanasuk that made me stop in the middle of the day pondering which one is this loooovely smell. I will update any further discoveries...

I scored mine off eBay and got a dud & am returning. It had ZERO scent at all. I checked the batch code and it was an 8+ year old production. If it had been opened, that would have changed the game. Does anyone know if this is a MILD scent? Is it unusual that I could smell absolutely NOTHING??? I'm curious.
