Haramain Oud Cambodi Intense

I hesitated for a long time before writing this review because Oud Cambodi Intense is so esoteric that it requires time to truly understand and appreciate. Crafting a review for this enigmatic fragrance feels close to describing a dream — both intangible and deeply personal. They are incredibly difficult to articulate due to their unconventional nature. Oud Cambodi is often described as barnyard-like and musky. While these traits are undeniably dominant, they are not particularly unique for an oud fragrance. However, these characteristics are executed here with a distinctiveness that sets this scent apart. I love them for their intensely feral qualities. To me, the opening unveils an unusual eucalyptus-animalic secretion or a scent reminiscent of abandoned ancient ruins — dampness, wet mossy stones, and dust. It's both soothing and intriguing. Yes, there's a trace of the classic barnyard oud at first, but it quickly dissipates. As the fragrance settles, the base gradually transitions into a smoky, incense-wood profile. The initial eucalyptus-citrus quality slowly fades, yet the animalic peculiarity remains ever-present, albeit in a likely softer version. I've never smelled true oud, but based on the reviews I've encountered, this fragrance must be incredibly close to authentic oud. Nothing else labeled 'oud' in my collection feels as natural and exotic — likely due to its wild, raw, and viscerally animalic nature. Another standout positive is the absence of the often overpowering rose typically paired with oud, which distinguishes this fragrance further. What I dislike about these perfumes is their weak projection and longevity. I've owned them for some time, and this aspect hasn't improved. I assume the creators intended for this scent to be intimate. Because of this, I enjoy reapplying it throughout the day — it's like reconnecting with a familiar companion. However, for the price, I believe it should have been stronger and more enduring. I plan to wear it in the summer as well — I imagine its rawness might enhance the natural scent of skin or even act as a 'second skin' through its acidic eucalyptus quality. This fragrance is a divisive masterpiece of contrasts. Its unapologetic ruggedness, layered creativity, and ability to evoke vivid imagery — from rustic nostalgia to raw masculinity — make it a love-it-or-hate-it gem for those seeking a truly untamed experience. The rawness could overwhelm, its rough edges may alienate, but personally, I adore it. For me, this is a personal top five masterpiece in my collection, thanks to its absurd rawness. I have no idea if this contains real oud or not - in whichever case, if its an emulation its a pretty good one. This gives the animal, the poop and the burnt i was looking for - a cheaper version of Silver Oud. OCI is infinitely less oily and less rich obviously, but the scent profile is approximate. Giving it a few sample runs for longevity, will be back for the verdict. Edit: yeah.. cute but not quite the same unfortunately. Will have to keep digging.

Woah! This is an animalic bomb in a bottle! I didn’t know that castoreum is a that much pungent note. There are some very interesting and strange points about this scent: First, it comes with very stylish boxing and bottle. Second, the opening is like there’s no tomorrow :). Ok, it’s nuclear but is it good or bad? Well, it totally depends on your nose’s relationship with animalic/leather notes. The strange thing here, the oud is in top notes only, I don’t know how many brands use oud as a top note only in their formulations so far? So please do not be mistaken with the name “Oud Cambodi”, oud blasts with the first spray and then starts disappearing during the journey. Animalic-leathery-musky feel lasts but gets soften by time thanks to cashmere and sandal wood. There are some minor similarities with Montale Aoud Cuir d’Arabie but Oud Cambodi is much more softer and wearable. The sillage (1,5 meter) and longevity (8+ hours) are excellent. As a summary; Oud Cambodi is a very masculine, bold, dark and sophisticated scent with great performence. Beside, I must mention that this is a truly “love or hate” scent; if you like deep oriental tones then it’s a “hit”, otherwise miss it. And last not least Al Haramain Oud Cambodi Intense is not the intense version of Al Haramain Oud Cambodi, although they share some same DNAs they are different scents, please refer my other review on Al Haramain Oud Cambodi.

This is the closest thing I have that comes close to raw Cambodi oud. Its dirty, ugly, raw, animalic for the first hour or so and then it settles a bit. I use this to layer with Explosive, or Rosa Absolute for a gorgeous experience. Sort of reminds me of Roberto Duran or Manny Pacqiao, a battle worn brawler of the highest order, yet exciting, tenacious and a winner all day long. If you don't like barnyard oud then leave this alone. I love it, especially with a layer of rose. Reminds me of my Uncle Arthur who would send me out with a bucket and a shovel to pick up horse poop off the road to put on his exquisite roses. Putting the two together evokes happy memories of a carefree childhood.

Wow, just got this today and the scent is amazing. The oud is soft and tamed with spices and other notes but it's fragrant and strong in the opening although strangely it fades away after the the opening making way to the animal, amber and musk notes. In my opinion though, the regular Oud Cambodi EDP is better and I can detect the cambodi there more than here. * After testing multiple times, I'm certain there is no oud in here. This is like a blend of notes which attempt to replicate Oud like the castoreum and musk. ** Smells like a dirty animal who pissed itself now. Scent: 2/10 Projection: 5/10 Longevity: 5/10

Animalik tarafı çok kuvvetli, rahatsızlık veren bir parfüm. Oud u bu tarzda kullananları biliyorum ve tende koku daha da kötü hale geliyor. Bizim coğrafyamız için kesinlikle uygun değil. Adın da oud vurgusu ilan bir parfüm de biraz daha oturaklı bir our olabilirdi.

Sweet synthetic oud, animalic musk. A hint of gasoline... very little depth to my nose. It's not offensive ... no fecal or urine note, but not interesting for me.

I'm not an oud expert, but this is quite skanky. Leaving aside the designer ouds, I'm mainly familiar with Rasasi Dhanal Oudh Nashwah, which is like a designer version of this one here. The opening of Oud Cambodi Intense is unmistakably fecal and reminds me of manure, especially smelled up close. But from a distance, it appears cleaner, and you just get this camphorous burnt wood smell. After an hour, all the traces of fecal matter are gone and what remains is pleasantly decadent and natural smelling -- deep dark burnt wood, dry leaves in the forest, old summer house with partly rotten flooring, abandoned temple with incense ashes around, you get my drift. Yet, the profile itself seems very simple. I can't perceive castoreum or cashmeran per se, but the animalics and musk notes seem to add some depth to the composition. Returning to my previous reference point, Dhanal Oudh Nashwah is certainly more agreeable and has some auxiliary pretty notes to supplement the main oud accord, but lacks the depth of Oud Cambodi Intense.

I would go as far as I can and say that this is probably the best perfume by alharamain. No idea how they done it at the give low cost. It smells like pure good quality Cambodian oud. Similar type they got in oil for 300-400$ per 12ml. Not sure how they achieved this aroma at much lover price as this 100ml must have at least 15 -20ml of oil inside. Must be something mixed in. If you are new to oud it will be animalic. If you like traditional hindis then this is a pure sweetness of dry fruity tobacco notes. Zero funk. Very wearable. 10-20 sprays easily. Close to skin scen. Dry fruits with morales and sweet tobacco notes. Very addictive and delicious. If you think this is animalic spray their oud seufi on one hand and this on another. You will feel howeasy going and friendly it is. 10 out of 10!

Oud Cambodi Intense really invites layering experiments. It's just what I need to add a camphorous jolt to some attractive fragrance that is missing a certain something. Oud Cambodi Intense can zhuzh up and deepen, so it works dynamically. It can influence the top or the bottom, equally. If someone would market internationally a reliable alcohol-based, spray, REAL oud fragrance for about 100 bucks I would buy it and use it, instead of this, which is likely synthetic, but well priced and does what I want it to do. The bottle, by the way, is elegant and timeless. Great presentation. I really feel like I have something middle-eastern and this fragrance helps to transform some of my western fragrances into intoxicating eastern experiences.

This is beautiful for those who love animalic, barnyardy cambodian oud fragrances! I don't find it very challenging, but I really love skanky ouds. The opening is strong but the fragrance settles into musky and very wearable woody animalic scent unisex in my reading leaning a bit more masculine but totally appropriate for a lady who loves exotic, slightly more masculine orientals. I truly enjoy this fragrance on its own for personal wearing at home but I suppose it works great layered under other fragrances, too.

it’s nice and came in a very elegant packaging but .. it’s so similar to junaid oud spray and the oil as well in a lighter version.. oud .. sweety in an oriental way .. marinated .. spiced .. it may lasts forever .. this kind of perfumes are never gone even with water and soap

Classical straight forward Cambodian raw oud spray. Very well done and great value for money for oud lovers. It is "daring" for western noses probably but very familiar and elegant for middle easterners or oriental perfumery fans. Excellent for layering as a base.

Wow! To say this fragrance is challenging is an understatement. The most animalic scent I have ever come across. It's like Al Haramain bottled a beaver for me. I haven't the balls to try it on skin yet. But this thing is funky smelling.
