Hayati

Al Haramain UK was kind enough to send me about a 1.5ml sample of Hayati. I had no idea the price while I was testing, but after applying just a tiny smear I was blown away by the captivating subtlety and came here to look it up. It reminds me keenly of Les Nez' 'Antimatiere' which I love, but Hayati is much more robust and "opaque", and if I had the money to spare, I'd be buying a tola straight away. It is a beautiful musk that envelopes the wearer with an intoxicating, unforgettable, and mysteriously soft aura. Superb quality. EDIT: As this embarks on the drydown, it is exposing its complexity... like a wall that might look "white" from a distance, but as you get closer, you begin to see the fine texture and myriad colors. Elegant, refined, distinguished, and sexy all describe Hayati. EDIT 8Jun18: I decided to try Ajmal's 'Misk Rijali'. Yes, they are nearly the same fragrance. I decided to apply Hayati on one arm and Misk Rijali on the other and compare, and this was interesting as I was able, then, to pick out the notes of magnolia and camphor/kapoor (or cardamom?) as each note was subtly stronger in the other- can't recall which now. I think Hayati had the stronger cardamom/camphor note, and misk rijali was slightly creamier with the stronger magnolia note. I like them both! Thank you, Nikhil.

Al Haramain Hayati is my literary foil- my perfect contrast. The rich rose, gentle musk, tame amber, and dry sweetness smooth my sharp masculine edges. It's a beautifully balanced and elegantly blended unisex rose scent. And while I may look like a barbarian, Hayati gently whispers: there’s more here than meets the eye. If you also enjoys Hayati but want something more masculine...try this: Start with Al Haramain Hayati. Now layer Tom Ford Ombre Leather on top. The result is outstanding. My ratio= 3 Hayati + 1 Ombre Leather. Hayati dominates (just barely) and takes the sharp edges off the Ombre Leather. The combo dries down into a luxurious rose-amber-leather cloud with a dry sweetness, gentle musk, and intriguing complexity. Smells like something Tom Ford could release as a Private Blend. My wife says this combo smells like standing in a high-end department store, directly between the shoe department and fragrance counter. 😄 PS- Hayati is real perfume oil applied with a glass applicator. No atomizers here.

Truly a unisex cologne. I own a few unisex rose fragrances...and this is my favorite. The musks aren’t overly white and feminine. The wood is just enough, and the amber is slightly smoky on me. I would rate this slightly above Initio Atomic rose if you want a rose floral unisex fragrance. Great performance, I doubt I would wear this indoors or in an office/airplane type space. 2-3 sprays is more than enough for all day. Edit: this is so perfectly subtle. It’s almost as if your skin could just naturally smell like this. Lasts forever but it’s beautifully subtle.

To me this definitely doesn’t smell cheap. Although I would agree, there is no Oud detectable for me, this is not just flat white musk. I also get notes of wood and amber. This is a very beautiful, elegant and soft fragrance. I associate it with a cozy morning in bed with sheets and pillows still warm and my mind still wondering in the dreams of last night ☺️

this fragrance is sweet though the maker says it's unisex, i don't think so because its too light for a man. The oud in this fragrance is not too pronounced and that makes it wearable for those who do not like the heavy woody scent. Sillage is moderate and the after smell is great.
