L'Aventure Ciel

7/6/24 To me Ciel smells like a Hybrid of Creed's 2 popular scent, Millésime Impérial and Green Irish Tweed. You get both the MI and GIT in this Ceil. Not really close but it's pretty special because Ciel is kinda fleeting, initially at the Opening because of the citrus it's like a fresher MI and after 30 minutes or so the violet leaf note pops up and you'll get the GIT similarities. This definitely last longer than the new MI juices in the market which has longevity and performance issue. It's still there on my arm after a shower so it's not bad at all I feel. Definitely gonna put in more wears for this. 13/7/24 Did another full wear for Ciel. Been about a week since the first wear and I get some changes in the juice. Pretty sure oxidisation has occurred. I get more Green Irish Tweet dna in the opening now and also the powdery aspects and the Violet. The woodiness of the Millésime Impérial seems to have taken a backseat because I've got the MI & GIT on separate paper strips to compare. Ciel is in fact a very nice and beautiful scent. Definitely Unisex but it's more towards the musculine side. I won't say it's sweet but I think GIT fanboys will like it more than MI fan boys. Perhaps there are some L'Aventure Blanc formulation in Ciel too. Definitely worth the money. I'm liking this more and I suggest everyone to try it. Blind buy worthy too

Love the Knight version, this one is a sweeter, more calm take on the "greenishness" of the L'Haramain Knight (Supposedly Green Irish Tweed inspired). Have no clue how the Creed smells, I just know this fragrance smells good to me. At first I was disappointed cause I thought they were the same, just a different concentration maybe, but when reviewing them side by side, I came to the conclusion Ciel is not redundant to the Knight version, as it sets another tone/vibe to that green beast with the sweetness from different citrics and flowers. Very long lasting on fabric, medium on skin. Sillage is moderate, nothing out of this world. I find it a great refreshing fragrance for the car, spray it on a small cloth and leave it on the car or put it on one of the air conditioning exits. Have a small 5ml decant bottle in the car.

SOTD I haven't had a chance to smell the Millésime Impérial yet; however, it has absolutely Green Irish Tweed DNA in it. It has really lovely unisex soft scents, which is probably why some reviews voted it weak (but it actually stays on my skin for over 8 hours). It did not show the loudness when compared to the Knight version. Another good thing is that this one comes with a pressure atomizer. I can love this scent since GIT is my top 5; however, it may not be a " must-have" for you.

I had purchased this after a reviewer on youtube stated that it smelled just like Millésime Impérial by Creed at a fraction of the cost. Millésime Impérial and Milestone smell very much alike due to the aquatic note. Ciel has no aquatic note, instead it has a light floral scent. That being said, Ciel smells nothing like Millésime Impérial. If you are looking for a replacement for Millésime Impérial, in my humble opinion you should stick to Milestone. Though Ciel does smell really nice it has two glaring problems: 1. It is a skin scent from the get-go so you must over-spray like crazy in order to have some projection. 2. The scent only lasts a few hours before completely disappearing. I let Ciel sit for a month before retrying it and sadly nothing had changed. I own both L'Adventure and L'Aventure Knight and have not had any of those issues as both radiate around an arm's length and last around 8 hours. Sadly Ciel does not follow suit. It is very weak and shares neither their strength nor their longevity. Ciel is definitely a unisex fragrance and would be best worn during Spring and Summer. I have listed it as a Like, as I do enjoy the scent quite a lot but be warned it is VERY weak and you will have to use a lot to get any sort of projection which even then will not be very much. 3/5 Stars

Didn't like it on first application because it's a scent that you can quickly become noseblind to and I thought it had weak performance. On further tries I realised it's not as weak as I first thought and I pick up a wonderful melon note that lasts decently into the drydown. Summer daytime unisex fragrance that in my opinion leans slightly feminine due to its light floral sweetness. 7.8/10
