L'Aventure Iris

Great smelling aromatic lavender iris, Abit powdery and soapy. Unisex but guys can pull this off since it smells so nice. Abit similar to Al Nashama Caprice Lattafa which is more musculine and has many similar notes, the iris, Clary sage and flowers here makes the difference between them. Pretty good for a L'Aventure flanker that cost less than a blue sg note. I haven't tried the grapefruit but has the other 3 which all are not bad. Good release.

I can't believe there's no reviews on this Fragrance? Very iris forward, plus Clary Sage dominates on the driy down. I would say mostly unisex, more toward Male but still a female could wear this.. I don't love it, but I like it a lot . very different..

This is a nice clean girl fragrance, but it took a while to get there. I thought it was harsh when I first got it, but I let it mature. 6 mos later it is soft and gentle. I really like this!

Quite harsh and choppy before a few weeks maceration, so give it time. In the end, it comes round to a very pleasant aromatic floral - not very similar to Amouage Reflection Man overall, but there is a touch of its distinctive grape bubblegum note, and I would wear L'aventure Iris in the same use cases - Spring and Summer cool dressy evenings. The prominent citrus, lavender and sage notes tamp down the powdery aspect of the iris, but its floral aspect remains dominant. Sillage in the air smells amazing, but I do get a strong soapy twinge when sniffing close to the skin. Performance for the price point is phenomenal - a deal at under 40 USD, a steal at under 30.

I might begin to review clone houses exclusively from how impressed i am with their quality, that said this is what you get when you cross breed a winter sweet vanilla frag with clean lavender and aromatics then think .. oh god it's a bit intense .. scratch your head for a while and add iris to powder up and smoothen out the edges .. and voila .. a scent that is really comfortable and familiar .. my only issue with it is that vanilla scents are a bit overbearing .. even though this vanilla is much tamer than your average winter sweet offering .. but i've had it with vanilla tbh .. but i think with the way it's priced .. it might be worth collecting ..

A powdery, spicy lavender and iris. Mine needs to macerate but I’m getting a lovely iris, green notes and a beautiful lavender – I remember now this was one of the notes that attracted me to buying this as I love a nice lavender. The jasmine is nice too, on a lovely soft musky base. It’s powdery - naturally being iris-based - but not too much of a makeup feeling about it. Quite aromatic. I like it very much! It’s very pretty – very nice indeed.

had this for a few weeks, i thought it smelled nice, but i made the mistake of walking out in public. A guy told me i smell like a church and now i can't unsmell it :( if that's what ur going for then its a good scent, doesn't smell crazily synthetic and needs a little bit of time before youll appreciate it. If you want compliments tho, don't get this.

This perfume is like you take an Irish soap bar and insert it in a bottle, same scent profile. It's way overpriced for a common typical body soap fragrance

I love Iris based fragrances (thanks to Dior Homme) and purchased many fragrances throughout the years with Iris note (also love violet and vetiver based fragrances). Dior Homme any of them, Infusion d’iris by Prada, L’homme by Prada, Kenzo Power, Bois d’ris by Van Cleef de Arpels, Valentino Uomo and Intense, Gentlemen EDP by Givenchy, Florentine Iris by Ermenegildo Zelma, Impossible Iris by Ramon Monegal, Kenzo Homme Indigo, Iris by Guerlain, I-Restretto by Maison Tahite, Extreme leather smoked Iris by Mont Blanc, Velvet Iris by Essential Parfums, Iris Ukiyoe by Hermes, Visionary Eye by Jusbox, Iris Porcelana by Ex Nihilio, Vetiver & Iris by 100 Bon, Iris Root by Loewe, Iris Nazarena by Aedes de Venustas and many others. So it made sense to go for this one. Well I was very disappointed in this. It’s very cloy almost like an overly powdered church going old lady scent. Guess I can’t trust purchasing fragrances with the name Iris or containing the note. And I had a long streak of blind buying them and end up loving them. I’m going to blame the fact which I later learned that this is a women’s fragrance. I sort of suspected it due to the purple bottle but Haramain usually having many unisex fragrances and Fragrantica incorrectly suggests it’s unisex I took a chance but and I saw on other Haramain sites and other reviews it’s for women. I’ll stick to those other Iris based scents o love and I will be more careful looking into other fragrances with Iris. This is a soapy powdery bouquet of flowers with Iris barely being noticed. More like the Iris root. I sense a faint chocolate in the background but that could be the cardamom and vanilla giving off these vibes. This is just not for me and don’t see this getting compliments on women either. At least I wouldn’t want to smell this on her.

Wearing this I get nuances of wearing Detour Noir if it had iris and clary sage. Surprised no one compared it to any Layton clones.
