Million

Parfum Arab kedua yang saya miliki setelah Al-Haramain Madinah, begitu mencium roller-nya, saya langsung terpikat. Harum-manis, tak ayal mangga menjadi bagian komposisi parfum ini, manisnya berbaur dengan kelembutan vanilla dan plum. Kekuatan penyebaran aroma beraninya dipicu oleh kenanga dan bergamot. Dua hal yang berseberangan itu mampu diseimbangkan oleh master perparfuman dari Al-Haramain. Hingga akhirnya parfum ini menjadi signature fragrance saya, meski di situs ini tertulis for women, namun menurut hemat saya, ini unisex. Mengingat dalam tradisi Islam, gender parfum ditentukan oleh projection (daya sebar) dan warna cairannya. Maskulin = projection-nya luas & warnanya bening. Feminin = projection-nya terbatas & berwarna. Namun, seperti biasa, pembelian kedua selalu mengecewakan. Aromanya tidak sama seperti dulu lagi, terlalu menusuk dan membuat orang di sekitaran agak pusing, walaupun bagi saya sendiri tidak masalah. Dalam waktu yang lama, saya berupaya mencari klonnya. Mencoba pindah ke Al-Rehab Dalal, namun terlalu manis. Cukup lama setelah itu, saya menemukan Paco Rabanne 1 Million Lucky, seliweran plum-nya memberikan deja vu pada Al-Haramain Million yang saya miliki dulu. Inilah yang selama ini saya cari! Namun masalahnya ada pada ketersediaan, jadi saya hanya dapat sampelnya. Hingga akhirnya saya menemukan Lattafa, yaitu Ishq al-Shuyukh, yang menurut saya pribadi adalah fusi dari 1 Million Lucky dan Baccarat Rouge 540, dan sekilas terbesit aroma nostalgia Al-Haramain Million saya yang telah lama terlupakan. Untuk sementara, saya pakai Ishq al-Shuyukh dulu. Tetap saja, meski saya telah bertemu banyak parfum yang agak mirip, Al-Haramain Million ini tak tergantikan. Andai saja aromanya kembali seperti sedia kala, pasti saya pun akan setia.

I would tend to believe the info Rafaeleleniz has given us. Why? Because the opening is so clearly that lovely, smoky plum found in fragrances like Imari Seduction. Such plums smell of deep, sweet pipe tobacco! The warm sweetness of Million's heart smells a good deal like slightly caramelized amber and sandalwood... with vanilla, soft florals, and musk along for the ride. Tantalizing and utterly addictive! Usually my tastes run very far from gourmands, but I'm SPELLBOUND. I personally think of Jovan's Secret Amber when comparing Million to other fragrances of like ilk. Perhaps this is only because Jovan's Amber has a similar kind of ambery goodness, although Million is certainly more grounded in sandalwood. As such, Million could easily be worn by the type of male who enjoys Givenchy Pi or even One Million. Otherwise, Million strikes me as a sweet treat with magnificent potential for the most feminine amber lovers out there. Truly worth trying. Do not be put off or misled by the main accords provided. They seem to have little to do with Million's actual scent! Five Stars - The adorable roll on shown here could not be more practical or portable, packing quite a punch for it's size. Million provides moderate sillage and longevity, with the sillage becoming more of a skin scent as the day goes by. This is actually a plus, since fragrances with this cloying potential are frequently on the loud side. Million's portability makes reapplication a breeze! Frankly, I can't believe this little beauty hasn't become a cult favorite.... yet. ;)

I get the Vanilla, mango, plum and grapes. Just that, and in that order entirely. It's sweet, very very sweet, actually. This could probably be a younger, simpler looking cousin of Sultan from the same house, Al Haramain. The pay-off is a good, inexpensive CPO that brings attention to the wearer while giving out a pricey vibe. The fragrance by itself is a great wear-alone, and the sillage is very strong. I'll write below on the longevity aspect as soon as I have an idea of that, as so far I'v only worn it for about an hour. Take 2: 5 hours in, sillage and strength is STRONG. I'd removed the roller (as always) and taken a few drops (about 10-15 drops=1ish ml) in my palm and spread on shoulders, biceps, cleavacle and arm pits as application. Take 3: DUDE! 11 hours in, and after substantial sweating in humidity, this stuff was still faintly close to skin fragrant on my biceps. It's brilliant! As of today, 6.5 hours after wearing it, I can still smell it STRONG on me. I just wanted to like it for its international fragrance as compared to thicker CPOs, but this is pretty thick and has lovably long longevity. What a beaut! BUT BUT, projection is very weak. itll smell if i sniff close to my clothes, but not at even a faint distance. Still worth its rather inexpensive cost :)

Can one smell cheerfully young and serenely mellowed down - at the same time? This one does. A classic. The described notes are all here and no single one dominates at any stage. The name is all wrong , it has nothing to do with the Pacco Rabanne. It should have been something like ' Serendipity ' or even ' Epiphany '. I feel very happy to write an ode here, to this constant companion of mine. No perfume should be judged by its price, as is the case with some others from Al Haramain and Al Rehab. There is a nice dictum - "Perfumes are for everyone "in the Middle East . Coming back to the perfume oil, it doesn't resemble anything else ..well, not much. Badar and Dhahab from the same house, or Dalal Al Rehab - are only cousins once or twice removed. Anyone who likes Fruity Gourmand / Oriental Vanilla can give a try, with a bit of assumed margin owing to its origin. No disappointment awaits.

Quite comforting, creamy, dreamy scent in the same family as Dalal, and as the reviewer below has accurately noted, minus Dalal's orange. But it has complexity with a mellow floral/caramel blend. It doesn't strike me as fruity, but I think those sweet fruits come across as faintly caramel to me, without being too sticky-sweet. Strong and very much worth the money. Because of the packaging, makes a darling gift! So much so that I gifted mine to a friend. Now I 'need' another. ;) Highly recommended to those who enjoy vanillas and creamy concoctions. If I had not read the notes here, I would have assumed Million was a white amber with touches of florals and generous vanilla and cream. The sandalwood just rounds everything out to perfection. Yes, mature and young at the same time, beautifully so. Five Stars.

Really lovely gourmand/vanilla oriental... I know other people would be able to pinpoint a bunch of fragrances this might be closer to, but to me and what I've smelled or own, it reminds me of Jasmin Noir, Crystal Noir, and Organza Indecence- that "yummy" floral-woody-oriental vibe of something edible complemented with bitter touches that make them incredibly alluring- Million is a definite fave of this line! Read Rafaeleleniz's review below for more-accurate notes- the ones above don't do it justice. Longevity/Sillage: radiates 1m or so for 6 hours, then falls to skin-scent, going on 16 hours (!) now for me- very beautiful drydown. EDIT: Wore this last night, and was complimented by someone walking behind me, who said, "I just wanted to let you know... you smell absolutely delicious!". :-)

On me it's quite similar to EA Provocative Interlude which has sadly been discontinued. It is not your usual Eastern Fragrance, it will appeal to Western/European sensibilities fairly well. On me (Asian/oily skin), it's long lasting 4+hours and the silage is decent (doesn't shout but doesn't squeak either). This is my first purchase since Attars in my country (India) are notorious for their headache inducing cheap aroma. This one is far from anything like that. Infact it's hardly what one would call an attar, more like a pure parfume concentrate that sell for mega bucks. Highly recommend for someone starting their Attar journey. It's delicious, soft, long lasting and costs peanuts! Absolutely safe blind buy imho. One that could become a favourite too.

I just received this today and it is a beauty! I love, love, love sweet perfumes, orientals, florals and gourmands. This is super sweet and you can really smell vanilla which I adore. The amber and rose are fairly obvious and so is the ylang ylang. I also get a whiff of the sandalwood. I can't yet comment on the sillage or longevity but I am in love with the scent. I fell in love with Arabian perfume oils and also their designer copies (and also Indian attars and designer copies) some years ago and I am not disappointed with this fragrance. I think these beat a lot of Western perfumes hands down. I might have to stockpile this one! Edit: The fruit kicks in a little later (about 30 mins or so) and it is still sweet. :)

Here are the true notes for this fragrance: Top note: Bergamot, Mango, Plum Middle note: Rose, Jasmine, Ylang Ylang Base note: Vanilla, Cedar wood, Sandalwood, Amber, Musk. Arab stores market it as unisex. It is a wonderful scent that combines the best of Middle East perfumery and Western perfumery. I think is a must try for everybody. Sillage and longevity are better than most.

This is so warm, sweet, decadent, like a baklava. I smell a dessert made with sweet dates, it's probably the mixture of plum and vanilla. Sprinkle some drops of rosewater on it, maybe a bit of sweet incense burning in the background. This would be perfect for fall and winter. Very inexpensive, great longevity.

Like Al Rehab’s dalal but minus the citrus. Florals and vanilla is more prominent with Million. You can mix and match both on different days, depending on how citrusy you want to smell. Also reminds me of the very late drydown of Dior Addict- it’s that genre.

I can’t describe this perfume notes like the other users, but I’m in love with it!It’s a sweet pleasure and although the perfume is so cheap, it smells classy and expensive!The only disadvantage is that it’s only 15 ml.

Beautiful! Honey, fruity, vanilla and a touch of smoke. I'm guessing that's the oud. Excellent value. I just wish it lasted longer on me. I really like it!

woah... Rich, creamy, fruity glory. I can feel the scent on me. Makes me believe that i'm a big caramel candy. HIGHLY recommend.

DK 'Liquid Cashmere' is also similar to 'Million'- not the same, but quite similar.

It reminds me of a One million from Paco Rabanne, but a bit milder,( more day user friendly if you will ) It wouldn't surprise me if Paco Rabanne took the idea from this one, although I don't know which one came out first, what I do know is that they have been making perfume in the middle east for thousands of years, and as a general rule the longevity, sillage and projection of the good perfumes from that part of the world are way better than the western counter parts at better prices for what you get IMO.

Mine arrived this lunchtime. A bit of the oil had leaked out and covered the little bottle, and the gold writing all came off - I had to go back to MyEbay to remind myself of which one I ordered! I usually let these oils rest for around a week to let them settle into their proper places, but seeing as I had it all over my hands, I wiped them on my forearms. Really liking it at the moment, and yes, it does smell like Dalal, only not quite so 'thick' smelling.

I'm in love with Al-Rehab Dalal and Le Couvent des Minimes's Botanical Cologne of the Missions. Natural that I should appreciate this too. Very similar to both in its vanilla profile but with the addition of sweet jasmine. Definitely unisex. Lasts a good eight hours on me before becoming a vanilla skin scent.
