Mukhallath

This is a review for plain "Mukhallath", NOT in the database, in a 15ml bottle, very dark juice. Woody, oudy, smoky and pungent, at fist the spicy wood is apparent but after a while a magnificent smokey, utterly animalic oud manifests itself with delicate undertones of spice and oriental notes! This IS heaven!!! Masculine, though I suspect it is marketed Unisex, but with so much warmth and sultry allure that anyone can pull it off. A delicious, woody, smoky concoction with just enough deep, velvety Rose and Saffron to balance the lot to perfection! Another gem from Al Haramain and one you shouldn't miss. Now, how about Fragrantica updating their database????????......

Love it. A bitter chamomile note mixed in upfront with a bunch of what could be described as a genetically engineered bloom with carnation, rose and violet on its ancestry, a good whack of indole and some kind of musk. Really lovely. Edit: Last time I wore this, a hybrid jasmine/gardenia note turned up in the middle, much to my surprise as there'd been no trace of anything white flowery in my first wearing.

The most perfect scent to wear to demonstrate cleanliness. Smells very soapy and is ideal for general religious activities. Perfect for Friday afternoon in the mosque or a Christian baptism event. Emanates respect and probably won't excite the opposite sex but will be comforting for all smelling this. Some may find it a little bit too clean but I find it pleasantly inoffensive. The perfect day time scent.

This is nice, I pick up the spices and floral but there is something else too, either Amber of the sweet kind or vanilla and it adds a rather gourmand sweetness to it, not particularly my cup of tea but I can imagine how this can be utterly addictive to those who love a touch of deep sweetness. It has all the hallmarks of Al Haramain, quality, depth, longevity, aroma, just a bit too sweet for me.

Perfect Oil, The Oppening is Strong, smell like garden, the perfum change during the time,there is a kind of swiftness, leathery ... the dry down similer to sheikhah by AL Rehab but lighter then him.This perfum stay more than 3 days in clothes.

Yes! Lovely oil. Beautiful, at any time, I love oils Al Haramain. WONDER! SWEET AND FLOWERS. Totally unisex! Thank you Al Haramain!

Surprise! This smells like Diptyque L'ombre dans leau. Cheap but smells expensive and very lasting. Buy this!!!

My review is for Mukhallath perfume oil, 15ml as shown in the picture. As vrosej10 has noted, the opening is a bitter chamomile note that reminds me of fabric softener. Then there are white florals that mellow down as time passes by with a tiny bit of musk coming through. It is a green, white floral (certainly not warm spicy and without any amber accord whatsoever) that despite the harsh opening mixes well with my skin in a very clean and pleasant scent. I believe it would be most suitable for spring and early summer due to its soapy quality. While I would never go for this kind of scent myself, I consider it a successful blind buy because it took me out of my comfort zone and allowed me to experiment for a really low price. Good fragrance for everyday use.

Quite puzzling for me after wearing the fragrance during cold and warm weather. In cold weather it wears more smokey, metallic, bitter while keeping the floral character in the background. During warm weather it blooms giving out unexpectedly vanillic-floral notes and some difficult to perceive herbal notes, as though one has just gotten out of the shower and smells cleanliness. I can't understand how a fragrance oil can smell both like an 80 year old grandma smoking a cigarette and a clean person smelling like a floral vanillinic scent after taking a shower. But hey, there you have it. If you wear it 2-3 times you ll smell it all over your clothes/bed/jacket etc, this stuff stays on material till it gets washed off. On skin it has no development.

Edit: After a few hours of wearing I can detect a note that is similar to a faint cigarette smoke's smell. It's a little bit unusual but absolutely pleasant. Not the very dark and smokey tobacco but the faintest traces of freshly smoked cigarettes that make this scent deeper and more unisex. For the first time in my life I blind bought four arabian oils from Al Haramian (Mukhallat, the same edition as shown in the picture above, Madinah, Remember Me and Badar). When I opened the package, a faint aroma could be smelt from every little cigarette boxes. It was hard to decide wich one to begine testing with. I was very happy that I liked all of the four but Mukhallat seemed to be the most challenging because of the unusual (at leat for me) sweet aroma, so I started with that, of course! I rolled the roll-on ball on my finger and rubbed that one little drop of oil on my wrists and behind my ears. For someone who is totally new in arabian perfume oils it can be good news that in such a little amount this perfume may not necesserily be consdered as a Middle-Eastern scent. It's sweet, strongly flowery, very perfumey, but not really that heavily smokey, dark smell of arabian bazaars that acquire a highly trained nose to appreciate and admire. Instead, I smell a soapy, clean, comforting yet sweet floral with a tiny touch of smokyness. My nose is not trained enough to differentiate the particular flowery notes but a very subtle and soft rose and elegant white florals are definetely there with a hint of warmth and smoke. I think I'm quite lucky because this particular smell reminds me on a simple roll-on deo that I used to use 25 years ago when I was a teenaged girl, and I liked its smell so much that I put it on my skin where you would normally apply perfume. I have nice memories from that time and I'm pleased now to remember those days. Considering that such a small little drop makes me feel being in a flowergarden, even if reapplying will be necessary after a few hours, this little 15 ml bottle will last for years, and the pricetag is unbelievably low for such a quality!

Blind buy. I was pleasantly surprised. It is a lovely clean/fresh aroma, not overpowering, perfect for Summer/office wear. It reminds me of the big green Palmolive soaps of the 70s but more sophisticated. Good fragrance for everyday use. Safe for office wear. Good longevity. If you are looking for a fragrance to wear daily at work this is an excellent option.

Beautiful oriental vanilla. Medium spicy, medium sweet, medium fresh. This fragrance is much more feminine, than unisex. From the beginning until end, fragrance change direction. After 5 hours smells completely different, more spicy, and I like it. Mukhallat, mean mix,and you can feel that hire. Dinamic fragrance, with so many levels.

Reminds me of lemongrass root.
