Musk

I purchased a few Al Haramain oils and all of them are nice one way or another, some of them are wonderful but THIS the perfume that suits me the most. It's not unique by any means. A clean, fresh, beautiful rose scent on a musky base. It is similar to Madinah, but less sweet and less citrusy-powdery. Even if it's very rosey it dries down to a soft and silent skinscent that probably won't offend anyone. I love that this don't want to be anything else than it is, just a classy rose-scent that soothes your soul and body. EDIT: Today I was wearing this attar for about 12 hours. It's quite linear after the initial blast but actually I love that it is, because in most cases those perfumes that develope and bloom (aka they change a lot) during the day turn into a soft mass on my skin. This doesn't. Its close to the skin but somebody who is near you will smell it and also the wearer will get beautiful feminine, soft rosy whafts all day with every little moves. There are many many perfumes that are beautiful, many of them are more beautiful and more excusive and higher quality in terms of ingredients than Al Haramain Musk is, but I met very few in my life that gave me as much pleasure as this the whole day with every single whaft. I'm also very happy with the roll-on package because I can truly adjust the intensity of my perfume: the smallest little drop is only for me while a few stripes on the inner arms, inner elbow and nech area will create a more powerful sensation. I will also try ti layer this beauty with Jovan White Musk in very small amounts to make this gorgeous rosy scent even more innocent and fresh. I think I've found my holy grail scent for the next few months:)

Got this for 7$/15ml of pure perfume roll-on. It's simply a fruity musk. It's a pleasant, comforting scent. A great unisex date fragrance, but I think this could work well regardless the season or occasion, just don't over apply as it can get very strong. Lasting power is great - can last till the next day.

This give me ORGASM (in a perfume way). Rose, spicy, creamy musk. Stay close to the skin kind of scent. I’m in perfume heaven!

Sweet minty vanilla and rose. Gorgeous. Blends well with my skin on this autumn evening (temp 76F). Not very heavy. Soothing.

Creamy soft spicy flowery musk, reminds me a bit of fresh laundry. Moderate longevity and silage, perfect for work.

It's a softer, mellow Madinah's cousin to me. Pleasant, inoffensive, office safe, put together floral musk.

One of my few attempts into the world of Arabic perfumes was Musk by Al-Haramain and it's a very positive and interesting experience. It smells like nothing I know. Musk is not your typical Musk. Not the dirty beast one nor the pungent laundry type. TBH I don't even understand why they called it "musk". An incredibly clean and soft musk is indeed present, but the whle blend is much more than that. The first tryon gave me an impression of a very faint scent, almost invisible. It made me feel anosmic. I took the lovely copper and gold box and put it away in a drawer. 15 days forward I took it out and the smell of the oil was much stronger! Not being an expert I think I put on a bit too much than needed, I was a bit overwhelmed, but nothing annoying happened. This oil is lovely and soothing. Most of all I smell rosy notes that are both intense and gentle. I smell a minty edge that I quite like because it's sweet and fresh, nothing like the dreadful menthol, and yet, I'm not a fan of a mint-vanilla combo. Yes, I smell a faint sweet note that might well be vanilla. All along the slow evolution of this fragrance, at least 4-5 notes or groups of notes come out, probably according to season and skin condition. It's not static, it changes in small whifts and it's honestly enchanting. I get soft woods, a bit of fruits, but all in this perfume is a whisper, well present but never aggressive. I wore Musk before sleeping and in the morning my husband said: did you wear perfume already? It's nice. Wow. He never comments without being chased or rather he complains when annoyed. I really don't get the reviews that talk about immense sillage. I think it doesn't go beyond 20cm and people around me confirm. For bigger sillage I guess you can dilute the oil in alcohol. Interesting. It makes me want to try other oils.

Rose dominates, and after several hours, a deep drydown reveals subtle, candy-like tones, evoking a sense of a rose-filled pastry or donut. In its final stages, rose is the last and only lingering impression. While it leans feminine, its unisex appeal makes it enjoyable for men in relaxed, at-home settings, though there are arguably stronger choices for public wear. Overall, it's well-balanced and versatile. Decidedly not grandmotherly, rather an easy-going companion. In the end, this fragrance doesn't try too hard — a soothing, fresh-laundry embrace that lingers gently, especially as the last rose petal fades. The only problem is the price. If bottled into quality crystal and appropriately priced, would gain worshippers overnight. Base: Musk, Amber, Sandalwood, Cedar wood, Cashmere wood, Patchouli, Fruity, Floral. Musk is elegantly blended, soft, intriguing, tasteful and office safe. I wouldn't say linear, you will get different facets on each wear. All CPOs develop with climate (weather, humidity, moist). Delicate - but long lasting, with refind sillage and outstanding appreciation on a blind sniff. I hate to break it to you, but the amount of aromachemicals and natural ingredients that actually go into your favorite designer bottle is way under 5 EUR. Niche might go higher, but don't get fooled, they are still cheap to make. Bottles don't cost much if it's not a renowned crystal. Usually the sprayer nozzle costs more than the glass bottle. Everything else is formula developing (the nose and his team), risk taking (2 out of 3 new releases are complete failures), marketing, etc. So keep that in mind before saying "quality ingredients". Cause if your 200 EUR bottle is worth -10 EUR ingredients... You can keep dreaming your purchase is superior, but you have to know that's a lie. If CPOs are a well-kept secret, people will assume the best!

This was a blind buy and my first Arabian fragrance, and what a nice surprise it is! A fresh, balsamic and perfectly balanced rose fragrance that is rather more soapy than sweet. Indeed, there's no vanilla in it, and yet it manages not to be sharp, and it's quite long lasting. I find it somewhat similar to other two fragrances I love: Guerlain's Santal Royal and Oud Satin Mood by Maison Francis Kurkdjian. Musk is somewhere between those two - not as sweet as Oud Satin Mood nor as sharp as Santal Royal. The notes listed here are wrong, so I'm going to write the content of this perfume as it is presented on Amazon.com: Top note: Aldehyde, Rose, Geranium, Davana Blossoms, Bergamot, Orange, Lime, Lavender Middle note: Rose, Jasmine, Orchid, Clove, Saffron, Sandalwood, Cedar wood, Geranium, Orris Base note: Musk, Amber, Sandalwood, Cedar wood, Cashmere wood, Patchouli.

It starts off with a wisp of citrus, then notably rose... black pepper, coriander seed, and the lovely sweet-green of davana-blossoms - which reminds me keenly of the related herb called "sweet annies"; This "sweet, green rose" accord graciously recede over the hours revealing a GORGEOUS "round" lower heart (where the indolic section of a hidden jasmine becomes clear) over a base centered on a creamy, clean musk with delicate wood-tones. Somehow, this fragrance is both fresh and sexy, and is more-complex than it might first appear. The notes are linked together so tightly from top-to-bottom- and so well-balanced- that the fragrance transitions and morphs from that deceptively "fresh" beginning to a cozy, musky end- much like a story. I don't think of this as a "day" or "evening" fragrance, rather, it is both... and has the tenacity to do so (beyond 24 hours).

I join diana2015 regarding the similarities between Al Haramain's Musk and Francis Kurkdjian's Oud Satin Mood. Possessing both of them, I could test one against the other. Both are musky rose-centered juices, over creamy sweet woods. Even though Musk is grand, it pales near Oud Satin Mood. The quality of Musk's ingredients is obviously inferior compared to OSM - what would you expect from a 5€ attar vs an EDP that's 40 times more expensive. Musk’s rose is a bit too tart to my taste and sometimes, I feel it borderlines musty. But the woody background is nice and soft. While OSM is on the sweeter and smoother side. But there's absolutely nothing to be ashamed of losing competition against Francis Kurkdjian's Highness!

The notes and votes are wrong, there is no vanilla here, nor do Al Haramain themselves say there is so I have to wonder who voted. It's a lovely eastern powdery musky rose. I'm afraid I have to call out that idiot who demanded a well established eastern company change their own fragrances name because it was not the designer dupe they were expecting. Al Rehab and Al Haramain do not make dupes, they make original eastern perfumes that are more palatable for a western market. If this person chooses not to buy another Al Haramain then I feel sorry for them that they are missing out, but rather relieved I won't have to read one of their terrible ill-informed reviews again.

I don't usually like to inject myself into others' conversations, but, as a side-note, Al Rehab *does* indeed produce both original compositions as well as designer dupes. Both dupes and originals are generally available in the small, 3ml and 6ml roll-on CPOs (as well as 35 or 50ml edp), but only the house's original, higher-end compositions are available in the ornate, sculptural bottles with glass wands. 'Silver', for instance, is a dupe of Creed's 'Silver Mountain Water', 'Randa' is a dupe of Balenciaga 'Rumba', and so on (read reviews and compare packaging themes).

Smells like a strong rose musk. Not too sweet, pretty strong but I don't get any other notes. Stronger, non soapy version of Sonia by Al Rasasi. Can be layered 😁

A very light pink rose - synthetic white musk combo that lacks real depth but gives its wearer a non-pretentious, pretty aura. Not beautiful, just pretty.

@chaiyo.pcn, in Malaysia this perfume easy to get, around rm18 - rm20 per bottle. Why dont you just get a friend to buy it here, just beware for fakes.

its unisex, flowery sweet & liltle musky. My on the go perfume, thus its cheap. Its almost like Madinah Al-haramain but less sweet than the Madinah

Strong and rosy. Grandmas perfume. These reviews are useless most time. Mint doesnt match there. Stinks personaly for me.

I wish I would have heeded to PurpleIris49 review. This perfume is the strongest of all...one drop projects enormously...but it smells overwhelmingly like Roses..very long lasting Rose perfume...those who like roses can buy this...but good to try before you buy...hope these guys change the name of this perfume from Musk to Al Haramain Roses+spices. Those who want to buy a perfume with the name of Musk & smell like roses should buy this... My 1st & last Al Haramian Purchase.... Lesson Learned: Always buy designer dupes rather than some randomly named oriental/traditional perfume. Al Rehab>>>>Al Haramain. Nov 2015: Tried again...this time felt a little better...smells like roses...but smells classy & soft..very strong & a drop will smell within 5-6 feet radius..quality wise Al Haramain is better than Al Rehab...but Al Rehab has more designer dupes than Haramain...gifted it to a female friend who instantly fell in love with this perfume...Superb quality...but still not for men..
