Najm Noir

This is a jewel, the bottle itself is a joy to hold, like a massive precious stone that someone found in an old cave in a treasure box in the desert, inside you'll find 20 ml of the most sacred smell, not loud- not intense but pure and serene, like a blanket that can be a thick chasmere when you are cold or can be a light thin Egyptian cotton one, it smells like a bouquet of flowers and musk and it changes by the time, it gives a sensation of being almos "saint". I live in Abu Dhabi and if you've ever been in this part of the world you'd know that we like loud perfumes here and we don't follow much rules of what to apply in certain weather :) we just use what makes us feel happy even in the middle of the scorching summer you'll smell thick ouds and roses and on top of that some will even fumigate with oud under their garments im saying this because a perfume like Najm will never stand out in a crowd in the streets of Abu Dhabi or Dubai... its to subtle. I believe in IMO this is for YOU to enjoy, apply this attar in a day you will dedicate to yourself, add some of the oil on your wrists rub them up and ad some of it on your beard and behind your ears, dress in white play some Nina Simone (extra tip) enjoy your coffee in silence feeling how Najm Noir transport you to a peaceful and quite place, a place where everything is alright.

Huh? What's going on here? I can detect most of the accords listed on Fragrantica and yet the projection is so diffuse and the intensity seems wan. And yet one has the impression a fabulous perfume is hovering right behind an invisible shield blocking your nose from smelling it. It's ethereal and the opposite of it's container which is weighty thick glass. I'm fairly certain this fragrance contains some musks that are difficult for me to smell.

I have both the gold and the noir and the gold one is my favorite. The noir is unisex, borderline masculine because of the musk and vetiver in it. I don’t detect any vanilla. I really like this, for those days when I just want to smell clean and maybe layer it with something else. I find the musk and vetiver to be oh so slightly sharp in this so I won’t be over applying. I think it’s perfect if you don’t want to offend with your perfume, but after I use mine up I don’t think I would repurchase. I have other musks I like better (Musc Noir NR, Clean Skin, Gryffindor House of Sillage, Another 13)
