Oudh 36

I've been wanting to write a review for this one for quite a while, but I'm not really sure how to describe it—not that the scent isn't clear to me, rather I just don't know how to properly express my love for this fragrance; it's absolutely beautiful. Let me just start off by saying this is another one of those fancy, luxurious-smelling Middle Eastern fragrances, but it's different than all the others. Unlike most of them which are Oud, Musks, Leathers, Saffron, and Incenses, this one is exceptionally smooth, Ambery Resin with spicy touches that you get from high-end designers and a well-pronounced and lovely Patchouli with Rose that give the 'impression' of Oud. For those wondering why it's "Oudh 36" but with no Oud listed in the notes; now you know, it is an Oud Accord. The beauty of that is they don't have to actually use real Oud, making it so much more wearable as an Oud-smelling fragrance for the less-acquired nose. This is niche quality, and the opening blows me away every time. That being said, the late drydown is a little disappointing in comparison, but I can still smell it on my clothing several weeks after using it. One crucial thing to mention about Oudh 36 is that it has an extremely long-lasted, intense projection but actually seems to keep within its own range, its own bubble. Move 2-3 feet away, and one will be able to smell merely whiffs; rather get within proximity and you will be intoxicated. Leaves a heavy sillage that clings to the nose when said person has exited. To put it into perspective, Oudh 36 is an elegant and gorgeous unisex fragrance that is actually quite simplistic and linear, yet still intriguing and of niche quality. It gives the same effect as the nose-catching TF Tuscan Leather, Oud for Greatness, and Ombre Nomad as well as other fragrances in their range, but is still set apart from them.

Blind bought this. 🥰🥰 at first sniff. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Sweet. Sensual. Warm. Delightful. Delicious. Bewitching. Excellent longevity & sillage. 👍🏾 Beautifully blended. Perfect amber fragrance for any collection. 12/21/22 -- I layered this with Montale Attar 🌹🌹& the 2 harmonized magnificently. Together they lasted 12+ hours. 😙😙

Layer this with Amber Oud Gold Edition and you'll get a completely different scent. A summer, fresh out of shower scent. This is crazy. ♥️♥️♥️

I LOVE this fragrance! Its a very wearable, non-skanky, non-fecal oud fragrance. Very masculine. It reminds me of Nassomatto Duro.

Just like amouage jubilation but with better performance as i have jubilation longevity is about 4 hours

An intensive & bitter rose-wood fragrance! This smells like an Amouage release, to be honest. It has that old 80s bitter rose along with a deep & resinous woody aspect. Reminds me a lot of the old fougere fragrances from the 70s & 80s. I'm 100% positive this smells like one of Amouage's masculine releases. I can not put my finger on which one exactly but I think it's Lyric Man. I'll have to test my Amouage samples again to detect which one. Performance-wise, Oudh 36 is extremely potent. Like I said, it feels like an Amouage release. It's a room filler with a looong staying power, think full day! The scent is not my type but I can not deny the quality of this stuff. Like.

the opening smells almost exactly like balsam from a poplar tree! when you go near one and the ground is covered with these yellow beak-looking leaf buds and you can smell the sweetish amber resin on them... sweet resinous wood, a tiny bit powdery.

BORING! The excitement ends after you open the box. UPDATE: So I followed a suggestion from another review and layered with Al Haramain Amber Oud Gold....I think I found a combination that gives Oudh 36 some life but takes the somewhat feminine edge off Amber Oud Gold. I like this one....

I personally prefer Oudh 36 Nuit, but this is a fantastic scent. They are in fact fairly structurally similar. I would say this one sands down a lot of the wet nature of Nuit, takes out the feral sweet thick wet resinous aspects, like a tree sanded down to fresh boards. It’s more conservative while still being very pretty. And still more on masculine side. Just like other reviewers have said, a fabulous woody drydown with nice bitter rose in there. You will smell like the best looking highest quality, rarest wood furniture out there. But this is why I prefer Nuit. This one is a bit sterile/conservative relatively...although in general terms it is neither. Just in comparison with Nuit. I prefer Nuit because I like being in the middle of the wet, dank agarwood forest. Absolutely fantastic, both, although I will say, the wildest beast called Imperial Oud is really my favorite — it takes nuit and throws out all the prettiness and just goes for raw dank niche power-oud. It’s filthy, rich, resinous, very niche and - if you can be so bold - absolutely fantastic. But the above just about lists for me where they are on the spectrum: this one lovely woody rich but rounded, Nuit sweet animal rich heady and Imperial just beastly with barnyard dankness. I love playing with these scents. Otherworldly for me.

WOW...received this today,after testing samples of this and Oudh 36 Nuit. I wore both for a week...and decided I had to own a bottle of Oudh 36. I really liked 36 Nuit, but I found the regular 36 smoother and soothing..and wonderful. This is an non-skanky oud for sure. Very wearable..and yes....FANTASTIC scent. The notes listed says it all...you get all of the above...in a really great blend to boot. It is NOT "powerhouse" IMO...but it provides decent sillage/longevity...and does go thru changes with wear....and with chemistry. Touch of rose/amber/ylang may make it "usual"..but..with the blend of the notes, this does not matter to me. I will further test my sample of 36 Nuit, and may invest in a bottle of that too.

I've sampled this fragrance a few times and just recently decided to order a full bottle. I'm still not the biggest fan of the opening, which I find a tad cloying, but that's not a problem considering the fact that I get a solid 10 hours of possibly the *smoothest* woody dry-down I've ever experienced. Seriously, you guys, this scent is like butter for your nose. What's funny though is that I've sampled the Oudh 36 Nuit version as well and really don't care for it. I find it to be far too "in your face" with the animalic and sweet notes. But the regular Oudh 36 version is excellent.

I first smelled this at the store, and took the test strip home with me. That strip sat in my bathroom for days. I kept going back to it. Its an addicting type of smell. Very ambery, resinous, a little powdery. It creates a prominent bubble, great longeity, and the DNA suits that. As it dries down it just gets better and better. I am selling a full bottle in the US for a good price. I'm moving to a year-round hot weather climate and trimming down fragrances that will not get used. I have this and the elixir version & love them both I get less rose than the Nuit version or maybe even no rose personally ..This has the powdery like patchouli like you find In Coromandel or Richwood but isn’t like them... If I were to compare it to anything I own it would be Nasomatto’s Duro..At one point I thought a little bit better, And that’s saying something being it can be bought cheaper & have a 100ml bottle of it! Sharp woods, patchouli & sweetend just right. Yep Almost like having a bigger & better looking bottle of Duro at your disposal!!

this must be how heaven smells like. perfect balance between dry and smooth notes. you may think it is a little bit hursh in the opening but you will start smelling beautiful vanilla smell which gives you right amount of creamy vibe which doesn't switchs him being a resinous and woody fragrance to anywhere. it leans towards masculine. stays long on the skin and much longer on your clothes.

Rich, sweet amber fragrance. It initially felt cloying to me, but I grew to love it- a characteristic I’ve noticed with a lot of my favorites. Stellar longevity and projection.

This is underrated and deserves more love. However its not ground breaking, if you can catch it, it's worth it
