Portfolio Oriental Forest

Extremely long lasting spicy sweet fragrance with a YSL mens Opium vibe to give you an idea or slightly aldehydic. Oriental notes of myrrh and cinnamon are prominent, the forest part is which is green spicy is half and half so the title does it correct. Very masculine.

I have acquired this since my last post a year ago. This scent is so unusual. It's a dark forest earthy scent that's spiced. Green, but not exactly fresh. It's so weird to me. However the drydown is intoxicating. It's my favorite part. Iris is not a note, but the drydown smells like soft iris and orris root. A chalky rhizome like scent. Mixed in with the remnants of cinnamon and spiced forest undergrowth. Even in the opening 30 minutes there's a very lipsticky iris note on my skin. The carnation is also apparent. Very unusual. It's been a while since I've been curious enough about a scent to keep wearing it just to experience a new part of the journey. Al Haramain doesn't disappoint. I'm not sure if this is meant to dupe anything, but to my nose it's a unique and worthwhile experience. It's definitely not a scent for everyone, but if you like something unisex and complex, this is one to try. A fragrance experience which makes causes me to think and reminds me of why I like fragrances so much in the first place. This scent is atmospheric and amazing. It's very unisex to me. I'm a woman wearing it. I would say it's not sweet so that might sound masculine to some, however it's much more of a place/thing kind of scent vs a decidedly perfumey scent, therefore quite unisex.

Smells like Meyers verbena or gardenia hand soap. Pretty smell but not sure about wearing it yet. I believe it will grow on my though. Dove soap bar vibe.
