This is a wonderful and lovely sandalwood scent with saffron, citrus and spicy notes. Very well composed and balanced notes, this perfume feels uplifting, calming and meditative. The sandalwood smell smooth and creamy, and long lasting. Very distinct and unique scent IMHO, personally i never smelled similar scent. The bottle and the packaging is absolutely amazing. I'm very happy with my new signature scent :) /Perfume oil version/ Hungarian: Ez egy csodálatos és szép szantálfa illat sáfrányos, citrusos és fűszeres jegyekkel. Nagyon jól összeállított és kiegyensúlyozott illatjegyek, ez a parfüm számomra felemelő, megnyugtató és meditatív hangulatot áraszt. A szantálfa illata sima, krémes és tartós. Nagyon egyedi és különleges, igazán keleti illat, amely kivételesen mentes a pregnáns és mély agar jegyektől, mégis megvan a megfelelő mélység benne. Én személy szerint soha nem éreztem hasonló illatot. Az üveg és a csomagolás szépen kidolgozott. Nem hinném, hogy tömegek kedvencévé avanzsálhatna, de nem is bánom, mert nálam aláírás parfüm gyanús ez a pompás szerzemény. Remek tartósságú, de mégsem tolakodó illat, bár az elején kis türelmet igényel míg a rakoncátlan illóolajok elhelyezkednek a bőrön. Uniszex illat, de szerintem inkább férfias jelleggel, legalább is az én bőrömön (férfi létemre) ezt az arcát mutatja meg. Fiataloknak nem ajánlanám, inkább 30, még inkább 40 éven felülieknek. Igazi szerelem :)

An echanting perfume overall, with aldheydes I should add and a vintage '70's aura, which I adore. Cistuses, spices and sandalwood in the front row. After it settles down, amber and flowers emerge. Safrom shows itself at the dry down. An absolute jule among the Arabian perfumes. A smell that brinks back memories..... After some weeks passed, and I suddenly remembered! It reminds me strogly of "Coriandre" by Jean Couturier, only this is a bit sweeter. One of a kind!!!

hmmmmm sweet honeyed ambery woody musky floraly resiny balmy deep sensual mesmerizing truly floriental oriental woody with hints of honey and lots of deep sweet ambery accords a very strong perfume fit for special occasions perfect for wintry nights and cooler weather i think it blooms on my skin it sings melodies of 10001 nights of Arabia..like the queen of Sheba or endless Saharan nights with moon lit starry skies its sandy like the desert creamy and silky soft almost velvety it changes like the sand dunes it evolves and blends and mends and transforms filled with mystery and spice and smokey goodness in a vail of subtle buttery sweetness..this review is coming from someone who doesn't take gourmand accords easily but in gamar its gourmandy with an Arabian twist some old blends from arbia originally came like this they are a mix of amber oud saffron musk and some sort of sweet resny balmy accords sometimes adding a bit of saffron .. GAMAR means moon it also means a beautiful girl with a face like the moon and this perfume is a perfect fit for both although its not a cold moon its a hotter more red moon maybe a moon in an eclipse ! the perfume is definitely long lasting with huge projection and silage less than one spray is more than enough if you are living in the west for it is pungent but in a mellow way in a creamy resiny honeyed way ..its a full perfume from head to bottom full of everything arbian yet with a hint of a frenchy accent due ti the lack of utter oud accords there is hardly any oud its more of a floraly woody ambery honeyed melody of sensual sweetness..i find myself being able to wear this more in drier climets in more humid climets maybe it gets a bit too cloying just because i cant take the sweetness .. its a perfumers perfume its a perfume so full and potent filed with creamy resiny ambery goodness ..it can easily be a niche and it smells like a 3 digit niche with more projection and silage and longevity for fraction of the price ! its perfect for layering as a base it adds so much depth longevity and silage to so many ambery resiny musky accords even under ouds and patchouli based or woody and oriental accords i had many formulations of this hidden gem and they are all good ..its floraly and its bright for an Arabian perfume its almost crispy in a way from the citruce but you cant really cal it a citruce its not the citruce you d find in European Hermes like perfumes ..its more like the mancera line or some of the guerlines orient line for about 21 us $ for a 60 ml extra edp(Arabian edp is more than 25 % oil concentration it can go up to 100% perfume oils ) coming in a heavy golden bottle perfect as a gift ..this is as beautiful as you can get

Review on oil version with sun-moon-planets design. Have got this little treasure in a blind buy, following advice of much loved by many here suhaesa, - thanks, dear! I Am totally in love with this attar, it is not similar with any other Al Haramains I own and it is of superb quality for little money once again. Sensual, spicy, murky creation, I do smell cumin among citrus notes to start with and if it reminds me of anything, - it is of Theo Fennell's Scent one, where saffron with lilies and cumin create the atmosphere of Arabic celebration, where smells of exotic hot foods are mixed with bakhours and musky rose oils. Very rich attar, very attractive and ..erotic I must say as well. Lasting power is impressive, can't recommend enough, very special oil with millions of nuances, such a fun to smell myriads of things from this cute jar.

Relaxing and grounding, the Levantine sunset comment below describes the vibe of this scent nicely. It's quite intimate, so better suited for instances where you want to keep it low key or for those that like using perfume before bed time. Nothing bold in this bottle for sure. I bought "Qamar" thinking it could work as a unisex option, but there is something inherently masculine in there, so I gave it away to a male friend.
