@Erui: Not the same fragrance. This is the CPO that comes in a 60ml (5 tola) or 120ml (10 tola) heavy crystal flacon as seen in the photo. And it most certainly is not the fragrance qasimsheikh lists the notes to, either. Per Al Haramain, the notes to this are: Top: agarwood(Cambodia), amber, exotic spices, Heart: agarwood(Cambodia), benzoin, patchouli, exotic flowers Base note: woody, musky, ambery. I personally believe there's also vetiver and lavender in this as well. It starts out with some noticeable sweet (cambodi) oud, amber and spices before the patchouli kicks in. This isn't "headshop" patchouli by any means, either, and comes off as fairly refined in feeling, but noticeable nevertheless. There is some benzoin which, if you're familiar with it, can come across as an impression of vanilla. Benzoin/Amber share some similarities, but I should note the amber here isn't the heavier amber one might be accustomed to, either. At this point, the fragrance has a slightly fruity, woody feel to it with a lighter amber/patchouli note. There are some floral notes, but it never comes across as "floral" and the more I wear it, the more convinced I am that there's lavender lurking in here with a touch of vetiver that gives it a somewhat grounded, earthy feel with the patchouli. Last but not least, the later stages is very musky. If you're familiar with Al Haramain's Prestige Line, particularly Midnight Musk, you'll notice it's the same, slightly powdery/clean musk. Overall, this is a very classy, masculine fragrance that has very good longevity and projects fairly well, emitting a fruity/oud/ambery patchouli vibe that never wears too heavy and feels perfectly at home on a summer night as it does during the winter.

Fresh, floral, sweet, woody oud. Great fragrance, I got this first as a sample and it peaked my interest, however, once I got the actual bottle it smelled WAY better due to the concentration of the oil. Strong perfume, decent projection for an oil and lasts for ages. This fragrances smell mostly like a fresh, aromatic, woody attar and then transforms after the dry down into a smell of smooth, sweet, pleasant woods. Although the retail price is £220, you can get this on discount for as low as £190 and keep in mind this is a 60ml attar (oil) so it will last for YEARS even if you use it daily. So even though the price is high the value is great. Someone at work smelled this on me after 14h of applying it and after a change of clothes which is insane. Having said that, the projection as with most oils, is not great and it's pretty moderate/intimate. Notes: Woody - Fresh - Floral Scent: 10/10 Projection: 4/10 Longevity: 10/10

The EDP version: I think it's just gorgeous, pure dry wood. On my skin, it doesn't become sweet at all, I smell some flowers in the background, that somehow reminds me of autumn leaves. <3 Lasts for 2 weeks on clothes (insane, right?), and the sillage is huge :3

first..thanks poboijosh and fragrantica, i have been looking in the web for the review of this attar/perfume..due to this review , i brace myself on buying this attar..i have doubt when it come to al haramain due to the prejudice that i had when i smell the non exclusive version of their perfume...well to my surprise after i brace my self of buying it..i am humble by it and my apologies to al haramain for having those thoughts...we are always influence by the news of other brand is superior this brand is not etc, though i have not smell their other exclusive perfume..but for this particular exclusive perfume i will echo what poboijosh said with only one thing to add..people always rave about mukhallat dahn al oud moattaq by ajmal...well...it is almost there with a difference which is, it is thicker in smell and less sweeter and more oudh aura smell to it...if mukhallat dahn al oud muattaq is a cat then the sheikh attar is a fearsome tiger... p/s: i may buy another one...for my generation to use...contemplating.....

i have the oil that comes in a blue box..its smells fresh but not like the generic men's fragrance kinda smell..kinda reminds me of an arabian oud fragrance but i forgot what it is because i don't think it's in the fragrantica database anyway..the drydown is kinda powdery. if a woman wants to wear this she has to be brave. imho it's definitely masculine.

Al Haramain website has the notes as: Top: Elemi, Black pepper Middle: Labdanum resinoid, Violet Base: Sandalwood, Musk, Amber
