Turath II

Turath 2 opens on my skin with an intoxicating rose supported by real Musk, little bit of ambergris & incense. To say this is gorgeous would be an understatement. This initial blast screams opulence. Not the usual word opulence that people so freely use to describe perfumes. This is the scent a Sultan could be wearing. This is the opulent scent of the Palace. There is a smoky oud. But not barnyard oud. Projection is medium. Longevity is excellent. With two liberal swipes the room lighted up with wafts of incense, rose musk & ambergris. Edt There is a soft menthol vibe in the beginning. And this after 3 years of maccaration has become totally a magnificent attar fit for Kings

ذكوري قوي ، شتوي وحسب الوصف فهو يحتوي على الزعفران بقوة وذلك لم اجربة من قبل -شخصيا- وطبعا عود المخلط النقي وبعض الزهور .... تركيبة معقدة جدا تستحق التجربة Strong masculine, wintry, according to description, it contains saffron strongly, which I have not tried before - personally - and of course the pure mix oud and some flowers .... a very complex formula worth trying

Turath II opens strong with smokiness and spice, and with a soft menthol freshness (I think it’s the oud). The roses are not bright or fresh – they are heavier and subsumed by the saffron, oud and other notes (not a bad thing). A little later some sweeter incense notes come: myrrh is more apparent than frankincense. The early dry down is leathery and animalic with clinging dark spices, gradually growing lighter and becoming more musky with almost citrus like nuances after 4-5 hours. Oud is the star of this attar. It is very high quality and a pleasure to wear. I don’t find it skanky, but think experienced oud wearers will definitely appreciate this a lot, but it's also friendly to newcomers to oud/attars. Turath II is animalic in a more leathery way, fairly masculine and beautifully blended/supported by the other ingredients. In summary Turath II is a bold, dark, spicy and resinous attar, which grows lighter into a citrus-like musk over 6 hours. Medium projection and good longevity. Wonderful.
