Luminous Orchid

After a bit of searching I was lucky enough to pick this up and reading the notes pyramid, it seemed in line with my preferences. The first time I wore this it was almost peppery. It's since softened with vanilla and tonka gently unfolding as the sesame shows up. It evolves into a soft, creamy, scent that never goes fully gourmand. The nuttiness gives the composition a gentle spice. I don't really get a coffee note. Outside of the bold opening, the perfume itself is more reserved. A bit like the late designer himself perhaps?

Wow - caramelised jasmine and coumarin marinaded in a nutty sesame oil... I initially misidentified this as hazelnut, as the opening reminded me of Nutella, but on looking up the notes realised it was the sesame accord I was smelling. Synthetic but intriguing. I don't generally like candied sweet scents and was prepared to be bored by this, but I have to say it was one of the most unique things I smelt in a full day of testing. The drydown smelt a bit more generic although still very pleasant, I would identify it as a creamy jasmine rather than orchid (does an orchid even have a smell?) with pretty decent longevity. I didn't get any bitterness - if there is any coffee there, it's a creamy vanilla latte rather than a "bitter depth of coffee". Not necessarily something I would wear, but kudos to Constant and Auras for producing something a bit different.

Luminous orchid is a caramelized orchid with heavy Tonka and vanilla. Toasted sesame that comes off almost like coconut but it is a bit to nutty. A very sweet sesame, candy for sure. This is a gourmand fragrance to my nose and my husband is thrilled with it. It hits my sweet limit but I do like it. Very rich and dessert like. Like a sesame toffee. I get no coffee which is fine with me since I'm not the biggest fan of it in perfumes. This will go into heavy rotation this fall at gatherings since all my friends are gourmand and vanilla lovers. I got this and the Blazing Lily for $45 each after tax from ediscountperfume. Com. If you like vanilla gourmands this is a good deal. Long lasting and good throw.

I got a full-sized bottle for about $70 in the US. I like this warm, sweet floral scent, some nuttiness from sesame. If you like sweet floral/fruity fragrances such as Armani My Way ( and its plankers), Si Passione ( and its plankers), Flower by Kenzo L'Absolue, Givenchy Irresistible EDP,.....than you probably will like this. This is absolutely not in the same heavy citrus/detergent category as YSL Libre or Valentino Voce Viva.

Over sweetened sesame. Barely can smell some expired coffee . Some orchid and prune/plume. Smells like trends of 90-th to me. Kind of cobra, poison. Roasted nuts. Somewhat reminds me of female sweat and too much makeup, unnecessarily diamonds & furs during Monday morning . This fragrance has some conflict. I can wear it sometimes on the evening, outside. Definitely outdoor fragrance. But not ordinary.

Interesting mix of orchids and vanilla latte. The sesame note stands out a lot. It's a nice vanilla fragrance that is best worn at night.
