Ode to Rose

I was lucky enough to get a sample of Ode to Rose with a Jovoy order and I am in love with this juice! Ode to Rose comes across on skin as a very strong, warm spicy, patchouli rose. Very aromatic and moderately sweet, it’s that kind of perfume that makes a statement. The one that announces your presence before entering the room... I would classify this as a unisex rose fragrance, since the patchouli, violet leaves and sandalwood are at the forefront of the juice, besides the obvious rose/geranium star notes! If you’re looking into getting a powerful, nuanced, complex rose centred fragrance, for colder weather mainly, I would highly suggest Ode to Rose. The performance is top tier and the quality of raw materials used seems very high. Smells like an expensive perfume! Ode to Rose is the perfume that introduced me to Alexander J and I am intrigued now to discover more about other releases of theirs. Based on this perfume alone, they seem to create beautifully crafted fragrances! Expensive but beautiful nonetheless...

Great rosy scent for sensual and sweet rose lovers. It’s still very Oriental and spicy, but not too harsh, because spicy aspects have been rounded with nice juicy and fruity florals and soft woody base. It’s nice and quite unique. Follow me on IG: scent.guide

god I hate rose scents but this one is surprisingly balanced with other floral components. never mind the fancy packaging. this is powdery, sweet and simple rose perfume.

Sandal powdery sweet rose... This smells kind of Arabian with that bokhoor like powdered sandalwood, a touch of oud, patchouli, big chunks of geranium, and red & Bulgarian rose. On the drydown, the ylang begins to show with violet leaves. I remember this was the best from this collection that i liked from first spray till it ended. Beautiful. You know when you get a sample and hope it’s rubbish so you don’t have to buy a full bottle, but the first spray turns you crazy, this is one of those. Stunning jammy rose opening, and settles to a woody base with a stand out note which I suspect is the violet. I need this in my life!
