Oriental Enigma

This is sooo good, so complex! Well balanced, easy to wear even in summer. Remins me so diffrent perfums Angel`s share, LOVE dbs, Oriana but it not at all that much sweet, fresher. At the same time sounds very unique. I'm not very familiar with the hibiscus note, so I'll assume it's all about it. Warm skin make it sounds even better, projection is amaizing, longevity too

Perfection ! Sweet & boozy, slightly powdery/floral. I’m getting caramelized dates dipped in liquor and flower petals. It’s so good! It doesn’t really project but last on clothes till next day. For the price I want it to project more though

Lots of nutty notes (from coumarin) mixed with lovely vanilla sweetness and other gourmand undertones. It definitely smells like a hazelnut spread (love it) and has a great projection.I saw “dates” in the pyramid and I think it’s nice description of some powdery gooey note inside this fragrance. To my nose this is a sweet boozy floral. The notes mix so well that i can’t pick them out individually. It’s a beautiful scent but very light. I wish it had better longevity & stronger projection. I don’t find a comparison to Italica at all.

Sprayed 2 sprays in my elbow. On the initial spray, I got that BR540/Instant crush Saffron and sweetness combo. As it dries down, you get a nice honey tobacco like smell kinda like Naxos opening. After that, the boozy Angel Share/Oajan type of smell comes out. Its more Oajan than Angel Share tho cause it doesn't have the oak or the minty rubber smell from Angel Share. Just the sweetness. It has pretty good projection and longevity is good. Definitely unisex and possibly even more feminine leaning. Based on the picture, the bottle is pretty too. Overall, its a pretty good scent for autumn.

Ok. So the bottle is beautiful and the smaller bottles are better... but the juice is nothing exceptional. For the price of this fragrance ... any boozy vanilla scent can easily compare.

I know from watching YT many people own this but why so few reviews on this??? Lol. Anyways, call me crazy but this smells like middle eastern version of Guerlain SDV to me. Unlike SDV, the sweetness here comes from dates instead of vanilla and with added hints of hazelnut and hibiscus. Its very nice! The goegrous bottle makes it fb worthy :D

Blind buy based on notes. Oops. The only note I can feel is strangulation by an old lady. One spray and the whole house smelled, a perfume shop lost to this smell because everyone could only smell this fragrance and nothing else, and the only way to get it out of my wrist was to presumably cut off my hand. One spray of Oriental Enigma reaches ten-sprays-of-Euphoria suffocation levels. There is no nuts. Dates, maybe a tiny bit. Hibiscus which I thought would be a good mix with the sweetness of dates, where is it?? It is just very heavy, incense filled perfume that gives off very outdated vibes. I will be giving this to my mum. She is an older lady so she might like it enough.

I really like this. The hibiscus and date work really nicely together, set against a tonka that smoothes more than it smells and a buttery orris that adds a pleasing powdery texture. Everything else in this is peripheral, designed to shave off the rough edges. The result is smooth as glass and surprisingly fresh for a fragrance with date, saffron, tonka, rum, orris, vanilla with a woody base. I tried a 2ml sample today from my seemingly never-ending sample box and have to say, I could see myself wearing this as date and orris are two of my favourite notes. But where would I wear it? In the drydown you get more of the florals. The hibiscus grows in prominence in lockstep with a really nicely done yellowy immortelle that pushes this to lean feminine but the orris stops it from tipping over the edge. There is something slightly bitter and savoury in the heart that acts as a guardrail for the orris and dates to stop it going too sweet as well, though my NewNose lacks the ability to pick it out and identify it. I think it may be the cedar wood, or possibly some pepper that isn't in the notes. Either way, it is very well-blended and a quite original creation from Alexandre J who I've always felt were a bit underrated as people talk about them more for their bottles, not necessarily for what is in them. It smells really wealthy and a look at the bottle sort of confirms this is the vibe Alexandre J seem to have been going for. The bottle is stunning. I'd pick it up if I could wear this to the office. An hour or so into the sample wear, I am unsure if it is an office wearer or not just now. Likely I'll give it another wear and see how it goes. I think as restrained florals and a complex and rich but understated orris and date body tend to work well in that environment as long as you don't overspray. I am fine to wear fragrances that lean a little feminine to the office sometimes. I do think this would be a better night out reach though if I wanted that vibe though. It is sweet, floral and powdery but I could rock this on a date night I think. Three Word Summary - Orris Hibiscus Dates Layering combination - F**king Fabulous Parfum by Tom Ford as a base with this over the top for a night out. Outfit suggestion - fitted black jeans, fitted black shirt tucked in, black Prada slip ons, black Dita sunglasses. Black accessories. Powdered sandalwood, & sweet cedared bokhoor.... Another Middle Eastern style blend from this collection with an overdosed sandalwood, patchouli, saffron, & sweet rum. Don't know if i can detect any hazelnuts in here as i believe there is none!! maybe its haze!! but i start on the drydown to begin detecting dates, and tonka beans. This one is my 2nd favorite as it topped "Ode De Rose" (although i think both are similar to each others), but "Black Beetle" tops them all so far. 1 more to go. Beautiful

Wore this with the extract and went to a roof top bar, I was complimented so many times I lost count. I smelt divine. The extracts are very potent I have imperial peacock extract too. I’d say the Oriental Enigma extract is alot more potent than the imperial peacock extract. If I had to choose out of the extract it would be Oriental Enigma Extract but with Imperial Peacock perfume.

I got a sample of this yesterday. It's so beautiful and delicious but the price tag... Ouch. It reminds me a bit of Fiesta Habana by Cherigan without the tobacco. Since I already have this one and it's much cheaper, I'll pass. It's absolutely gorgeous though.

Boozy mild vanilla amber... This is (at least after a cooldown) a smooth boozy vanilla amber. It has a touch of sugary dates, and vanilla hazelnut cream. This is beautiful, but the price tag is not.

On paper: almond, cherry, milk and patchouli. On skin: The same but with even sweeter, more pink-hued floral notes. For fans of Xerjoff Italica and FdB Sirene.

Reminds me of Ambre Narguile by Hermes except Ambre Narguile last longer on my skin.

Someone compared this to italica which I love, how similar is it?
