The Majestic Jardin

Oh my god, where do I start? As a lover and someone who mostly seeks out airy perfumes, this is the Holy Grail. If you see the notes predominantly, what you will get is cherry, tobacco, and almond, with vanilla sort of giving it the volume. It's very easy for such a perfume, especially the cheaper ones to be dense and sticky However my definition and one of the solid reasons I now gravitate towards niche fragrances is because of its airy character, devoid of labels such as male : female , or when to wear etc This fragrance is exactly that and more It’s cherry tobacco (dry) in one word and the performance is over the roof. Can be worn in regions with high humidity as dryness will cut through So so addictive and was the first niche I ever owned Typically notes we'll make you believe that this is a Middle Eastern or an Oriental scent but in this case it is absolutely not. In fact the entire house of Alexander AJ, to my nose, has achieved one thing which is very rare, which is to take the Oriental notes and make it smell western in French. Do try it out; you will not regret it and ignore the hate.

I love this fragrance. It is a must have fragrance for me (honestly top 3 of about 300), but it is not going to be for everyone. This fragrance is mystical, enchanting, hidden, and sacred. It is smoke and incense and invokes visions of the Isobel Martin from the “Night Circus”. The cherry is in the back. It is sour and not boozy or sweet. The pepper is smoky like burning incense, the tobacco is there, but not overly sweet on my skin. The patchouli is not obvious or dirty. And the vanilla is just barely there. This is not a gourmand fragrance. The cedar is fresh and delicious. I can see a man wearing this and liking it, but this fragrance is for that woman. Mysterious and spiritual. I love it, and my husband always makes a positive comment when I spray this. I wear this all year, but it is very nice in colder weather.

I enjoyed Majestic Garden very much. This perfume is so exciting and delicious....! Nonetheless, the base is drown in tobacco, which isn't exactly suitable for tender women. It requires strong character and self-confidence. Or, I agree with LSAUG, could please male owner more. The composition is exclusive. All notes are very significant and clear. The almonds are mild and a bit creamy. Cherries juicy and tart, go well together with floral note. Cedar and patchouli add solid, sophisticated and elegant aroma: deep and almost dark. If you like strong, bold perfumes, perfumes that are not mainstream, this one is a sufficient luxury. And lasts days...

This is one of the most mysterious perfumes I have ever worn. After I first tried it I didnt think I'd ever wear it again. For some reason the sharp bitter almond at the top convinced me it wasnt for me. Then came the most delicious dry down ever. The notes began to unfold and I was emersed in a lovely composition of delicious cherry, patchouli and cedar. This perfume does not perform well on me in cold weather. But when the temp heats up the notes blossom beautifully. I can see how some may not get on well will this fragrance. But you may want to give it more than one wearing and see if you end up really liking it.

If you looking for projection, this one will wins your heart... deep spicy fruity-floral with smokey woody touch.. it has this rose-imaginary nuance, but clearly no rose listed on the notes.. it has this boozy effect in the opening as well.. this is clearly a head-turner scent in my opinion - its LOUD!

What a beautiful refined scent! it surprised me a lot. Pungent, mystical... it evokes particular moments, the bitterness of almond combined with pepper and cherry is extraordinary. A unique and rare beauty, I love! Sillage: 7./10 Longevity: 8./10 Scent: 8.5/10 Overall: 8.5/10

Incredibly sour and sweet cherry. You can for sure pick up some spicy and bitter undertones, especially in the drydown, but the cherry is just so strong. It's smells like fermented juice, and I like that. It transforms me to a scene beyond realms surrounded by giant husks of slain beasts, the sky is deep red and there are lakes and waterfalls of blood on the perimeter. Ahh, pleasant. The scent of a Qadištu, the smell of vengeance. Or it could take you to a silly horror scene like in sentientscent's review below. A good funny review, even if it's genuine, and it shows how polarising some fragrances can be. I think it's great, but so unique you can't just use it any day. Even for someone who is into the sour spicy aspect, you have to be in the mood for it.

Majestic Jardin is a lovely peppery cherry fragrance but for a man. When I smelled it, I knew right way my husband was going to want if for himself LOL. And that is fine w/ me since I think it leans male. Very peppery up front, fresh peppercorns abound! Nice tart cherry, rich tobacco, warm vanilla and aromatic cedar. If you have a man in your life who loves cherries, but he wants to wear a cherry scent this would make an excellent gift for him. A zesty and rich fresh spicy cherry tobacco. Edit: I like this but found it a bit to peppery for me to wear but if you are a woman who enjoys a peppery fruity tobacco this is a good one. A cherry perfume that doesn't smell like a candle or cough syrup like so many of them do.

I have worn Majestic Jardin twice, and both times within 15 minutes I was ready to dismiss it. This is typically not my style, with an opening bordering on nauseating, reminding me of strong middle eastern scents I have problems wearing. But the dry down — ohh la la! It is swoon worthy: a creamy, powdery blend of tobacco, vanilla, cherry syrup, patch and unidentifiable florals. Surprisingly black pepper is not registering with my nose. Not interested in a full bottle at this time but I also would not pass up a trade or a good deal. For cold weather only, and spray it away from face and neckline.

The best in the majestic line. The scent itself is amazingly soft and deep yet very harsh at the same time. smelling this directly after spraying could lead to a bad headache, but this is due to how potent the juice is. sprayed in a mall on my jacket and could smell it more than two weeks later. immediately got a bottle and the packaging is luxurious. Cant recommend a blind buy on this one. scent: 8/10 sillage: 9/10 longevity: 10/10

Peppery cherry that I initially read as rose/raspberry. Dries down very, very sour.

I wanted to love this so badly, as the bottle is stunning and I love the list of notes. Unfortunately, there is something off about this scent that I can't get past. It's as if all the notes were overripe to the point of almost rotting. I'm going to try it a few more times in the hopes that it somehow grows on me, because I really REALLY want to keep the gorgeous bottle in my collection, but I am not too hopeful. Not a safe blind buy! For the love of perfume don't be me, and sample this before purchasing!

I had high expectations, but Majestic Jardin was a disappointment. It's a peculiar peppery cherry fragrance with a more masculine lean. If you're seeking a delightful cherry scent, this is not the one for you. Despite being influenced by a fragrance reviewer who promoted it as sexy on YouTube, I detected no hints of juicy cherries or almonds. This smells dry, dusty, and camphorous. It's definitely not something you should buy without trying it first! Don't blind-buy it.

Not even sure how to describe this fragrance, its unisex but to me its very feminine. My wife bought this on holiday and she gave the bottle away after a few weeks. Its very sweet i just didn’t like it. Performance was on me 9 hours wife was getting about 15 hours and sillage is very strong for the first 2 hours then it settles down,

Sour, chemical blend of notes. The black pepper is WAY too much. So unpleasant.

I am a simple person, I see almond, especially bitter almonds, in fragrance description, I want to try it. But this was a big mistake, luckily it was only a sample. I had great expectations and this was not it. This smells dry and dusty, like an ashtray that has remnants of flavored tobacco in it. If Miss Havisham was a chainsmoker, she & her house would smell like this. Cobwebs, old woody cupboards, dusty petals and something sickly sweet, like forgotten bowl of fruit. I smell no juicy cherries or almonds. On a plus side, it does last, if this is your cup of tea and reacts differently on you. Or maybe you want to quit smoking, this will be useful and give you an aversion to tobacco. I used only one spritz. I tried to wash it off, but no luck. I had to take a shower and change my clothes. And still I can smell echoes. I dislike this very much.

Blind bought this from Fragrancenet and received today. OMG, this is terrible to my nose. It smells like dried tangerine rind. I was influenced by a fragrance reviewer on YT, who said this was sexy. Yuk yuk yuk. To each their own I suppose. Not a safe blind buy at all. After this, I'm not sure if I'll try anymore AJ fragrances.

I've been a perfume collector and lover for years have a large collection and have smelled hundreds if not thousands of perfumes over the years and this hands down is top 10 worst smelling perfumes I have ever smelled . It's sour and smells rancid

No more will I watch or blind buy fragrances from a certain You Tuber who raved about this being one of her favorite perfumes ever . My fault for blind buying obviously lol . All her recommendations have been a total flop
