Agar Intense

Maybe the fragrance of my dreams. I can't wait to keep wearing this and maybe make it my signature. This is very leather forward. The Oud and Juniper and Castoreum come together to give me a very realistic leather feel. It starts kinda funky, not gross or cheesy, just lightly animalic. As it warms up, you get this bright freshness that I associate with Fahrenheit: that very ozonic violety cade. It doesn't let up. That very clean leather lasts for what seems like forever. It gets fresher as you get warmer, so I'd totally wear this in the summer if I wanted something butch. Might not put this on right before bed as it is pretty strong for a few hours. I put it on in the morning and woke up the next day and still loved it. 10/10 Best thing I've smelled all year. Performance is flawless. Not Orto Parisi monstrous, but very smellable, projects for 10 hours, smells on clothes the next day. My husband says it smells like gasoline when you first put it on. He said the same thing about Fahrenheit which used to be my signature scent until my 100ml 2014 bottle ran out and the new batches smell like nothing.

I got this because I love Oud Wood. I have never smelled the intense version of Oud Wood due its price. I ordered this because I wanted an Oud Wood that performs better which I thought that Agar intense was. It is not. That would be the regular Agar. So that may be why some folks give this a down vote. Or because the opening is strong and different. The dry down is superb though. Cannot stop sniffing my spray point periodically. It is different than what I was expecting but after the opening it is quite soothing Intense.

I don’t know why this has any downvotes. I’m currently wearing Agar Intense and I love this fragrance. Think mature, wood, subtle oud, and masculine. I believe this fragrance to be blind buy worthy. It’s no mass appealer, like Dior Sauvage. This is a confident man’s fragrance. Something you wear with a suit and button up and NO tie—chest exposed. I give this a solid 10 out of 10. It projects, it’s unique and it will let those around you that you’re an Alpha who doesn’t need anyone’s praise to feel confident.

Alexandria's version of oud wood intense is phenomenal....people need to smell it before they vote because it's really good! Nearly identical to the Tom ford except for some minor nuances! All in all this is a must have if you love super woody and masculine fragrances, this is definitely not unisex and I would be super turned off if a woman was to wear this!

This is very very animalic! If your into animalistic deep dark woody frags give this a shot! I love this. I never tried the Tom ford version but I really don’t need to. Greta job Alexandria 👏 9/10

Agar Intense is a pretty nice animalic oud fragrance. In the opening, I did not get any barnyard or cheesy type of oud smell. It does open with a rather rough leathery animalic smell that comes across slightly as a garage - sorta mix of rubber tires, oil and gasoline, with the emphasis on the rubber. The garage doesn't last very long - maybe about less than 15 minutes. It then transforms into a beautiful woody oud scent with a touch of green. Scent pretty much stays that way. Longevity is quite good while sillage is more moderate after about the first half hour. The is a masculine fragrance. To sell it as unisex make the gender classifications meaningless. I have never smelled the Tom Ford Oud Wood Intense, so can't say how close Agar Intense is to it. While I've rated Agar Intense a Like, I won't be getting it. I've been spoiled and much prefer Amouage's Opus XIII Silver Oud which has much more depth and development as it dries down. Granted, it's significantly more expensive and has real oud. While it doesn't smell like Agar Intense, there are similarities with the woody oud. Agar Intense could be considered a budget friendly fragrance for a guy who wants a strong oud fragrance.

Opens up a lot more leathery than Oud Wood Intense does, and much lighter and less sticky overall. It does not have the heavy, weighty greenery that OWI does either; there's much less of the Antaeus DNA here than the Tom Ford packs. Oddly enough compared to a few other reviews below, I find this gets *closer* to OWI the longer it wears. The opening has very little similarity to me at all other than a little bit of gasoline. Performance wise, this is moderate sillage and moderate to long longevity (it's a skin scent much earlier than OWI) whereas the Tom Ford projects quite strongly and has fairly decent off skin staying power through 8+ hours. That being said however, unless you got the 4 bottles Selfridges just posted a couple weeks ago at $400 for 100ml, prices for OWI are through the roof right now and it looks like the secondary market is rife with bottles of questionable origin anyway. For $70 this gets you a decent amount of the way there, and will scratch the itch at what seems to be 7-10x below the current market rate.

I bought this one because i love Oud wood intense but it's very expensive. At first smell i could definetly smell the similarities to oud wood intense. But as it dried down. The notes of castoreum were more prevalent and the notes of oud and leather faded away. So i would say there is a slight similarity to oud wood intense but this one is more of a castoreum/ warm spices/ Anamalic smell. And a bit synthetic. But for the price it's ok. Still longing for the real oud wood intense. Performance is pretty good for me. Not a mass pleaser

This is nice. Surprisingly mild for something called 'Intense' but nonetheless lovely, deep, complex. Reminds me of a less intense La Yuqawam, and a more subtle Dark Rebel. 7/10

Nope for me. It's likeable, but it has too many rough edges to my nose that would require some more blending work. Some notes stick out too sharply without being rounded up and it just becomes too much.

Smells like old rubber tires in the back of a truck mechanic’s dingy garage. Whoever thought this was anything people would want to smell like? Garbage.

surprisingly addictive. Love at first sniff. This is an entirely new fragrance having precious little in common with Oud Wood. Along with Gucci Guilty Absolute. Beast mode longevity. Occasion; Perfect for special occasions and formal and semi-formal events.
