Arabian Forest

I've outgrown my clone collecting days...not because I can afford to buy the originals...I can't...but rather because of the principle of the matter. Having said that...and while I jump off my high horse and break my neck...I must say this is the best clone of Creed's Spice and Wood I've personally come across. Although that's not saying much in that there aren't many clones of that Creed. I finished the 30ml bottle I bought years ago...and everytime I wore it, I never regretted it. Sharp, peppery woods...with a silky, powdery and airy backdrop. Also has a culinary facet to it...like a combination of fresh spices in your kitchen. Signature scent, all year-round appropriate. Also, I can see why some selected "Encre Noire Sport" as a similar scent - there is some, only some, part of this scent that reminds you of that rooty, grassy earth smell that's been freshened up by water and citrus.

One of the closest matches to Creed's creation: very close by development and composition, slightly better longevity. Spice and Wood to me always was a more tamed version of Royal Oud without the oud (spicy and woody, just like the title suggests). It has similar use of mild woods and spice and, same as Creed, smells a little culinary but not too much. Projection is moderate, same as the Creed. The only slight difference I notice is the absence of slightly citrusy note in the mid but overall this is almost indistinguishable even to my nose, and I know both very well now. I am not a big fan of clones but this one got my seal of approval and I got a full bottle after testing it for a few weeks from the sample you can purchase on their website.

Arabian Forest is a beautifully refined take on the luxurious DNA of Creed Spice and Wood, blending warm spices, smooth vetiver, and elegant woods into a scent that feels sophisticated, regal, and impeccably tailored. While the original is undeniably polished and aristocratic, AF captures the same opulent spirit with greater depth, projection, and longevity, giving it a richer, more commanding presence on skin. For those who love the upscale woody-spicy character of Spice and Wood but want stronger performance, AF is an especially compelling alternative. PS. If you like Incident Diplomatique you will probably love this.

A wonderful woody, autumnal or spring scent, this has to be one of my favourite Alexandria inspirations. Although I don't know the original (and I would certainly not pay the inflated Creed price for it), this quality juice exudes class and I will definitely be purchasing a bottle. It may not be a beast as far as projection is concerned, but longevity is very good on my skin. A subtle, regal fragrance that is more suited to the over 30s.

This is so good from opening to dry down the opening is spicy with a smoky / tobacco impression I do not see it as a note listed. The dry down builds on that opening and adds a soft creamy tone which keeps projecting for many many hours and here is where compliments start rushing. Longevity surpassed 10 hours

I bought this to get a sense of what creeds wood and spice was like. I have never tried, but may say this is fantastic on its own. It’s very classy, but not too mature that’s it’s not wearable. Had someone tell me it smells like someone rich. I told her that was my sentiment exactly. Beautiful!

Like many of AF’s dupes, this is a good copy, though it slightly lacks some of the opulence of the original that comes from higher quality ingredients. However this would not be apparent to the average customer who might never have smelt the original, and crucially could never afford it. Anyway it still does smell very good in its own right and the vibe is in the right ballpark, which is good enough for me. I think AF’s fragrances are a great entry point into the world of high end fragrances, I discovered many great fragrances through them and went on many times to getting or sampling the real thing.

Haven’t had the chance to try Creed Spice and Wood yet. Just so happened to have a chance to blind buy this instead so I did. From my previous experience with Creed, I can honestly believe that this has similarities to the brand’s perfumes, sweet non projecting scents. Like them? Yes! Wonderful scents they produce, though not the best, but definitely rank high. Hate them? Yes! Hate their weak skin scents. When you’re doing a dup, can’t you upped the silage? Make the dup better than the original for goodness sake!

Not really an eye popping scent but it's likeable. The opening is just plain generic. Some citrus with a pinch of vetiver but over time it does become more interesting. It becomes a bit more woodier while the freshness is still apparent. Vetiver and musk are the main notes IMO.

Mature, sophisticated, regal...a man that is comfortable knowing he’s all that...but doesn’t need to exclaim it. Goes on spicy with pepper and cloves. Not up in your face spicy...but warm and subdued like. It has a nice mature opening. Dry down brings woods to the forefront. Cedar...a bit of birch. The spices are there in the background adding a bit of depth and complexity to the fragrance. Longevity is above average while the projection is slightly below average...as in this remains a personal bubble DNA from start to finish. Overall, I like this fragrance. I love Creeds Spice & Woods and I like this. They are both for a guy that wants to smell mature and “has it all going on”. This is for the enjoyment of yourself...and those lucky enough to get close to you. Easy recommend from me...but as always, get a sample to try first before purchase.

As mentioned below, this fragrance seems to develop backwards... It starts very muted, and only becomes more interesting after 25-30 minutes.

As a clone of Creed Spice and Wood I would say that is 85% close to the original. I think it lacks the existence of citrus notes in the opening (lemon and bergamot) that add to the Creed Spice and Wood the freshness which is definitely a creed vibe. It is a woody spicy fragrance with emphasis on cedarwood, oakmoss and cloves. I can also distinguish the iris note that brings this ''melted plastic or playing dough'' vibe. This fragrance smells like forest, therefore the name was successfully described In terms of performance I would say that is near Spice and Wood, however it lacks a little projection on my skin. The longevity seems the same as the original. On my clothes, the scent fades away quite quickly comparing with Spice and Wood which remains on clothes quite enough despite its performance concerns. Considering the price, I would say it is a very value for money purchase. It can be improved when layered with Molecule 01. Common people will not distinguish the difference between this and Spice and Wood, however more experienced fragrance heads will perceive the absence of the citrus notes in the opening and also the quality of ingredients that Creed use.

It loosely resembles Spice & Wood by Creed, but vetiver is unmistakenly detectable in here and unfortunately the perfume quickly transitions to that stinky after smell that often vetiver brings when it dries down. That's probably why some people smell a connection between Arabian Forest and Encre Noir Sport. I have a very ambivalent relationship with vetiver: I love it for its freshness, woodiness and "pepperyness" in its first phases after you spray, but I'm disgusted by how many times (not always) it smells after a while. Unfortunately, this is the direction Arabian Forest goes into. It is also very high in musk but in spite of this, longevity is inferior to the Creed. Projection is moderate, but I don't see it as a negative quality in this case.

Very, very similar to Spice and Wood but much better sillage and longevity. I purposefully wore a spray of each on both wrists and by far, Arabian Forest beats the Creed, hands down. 4 hrs later I could barely discern the S&W but this one was still going strong. Gorgeous sprayer as well. It does lack the complexity of S&W but when you consider the price and lasting power, this wins the race. It's slightly dryer with more vetiver in the drydown, but it's extremely elegant and smells as expensive as S&W.

Spice and Wood? Why yes. Encre Noir Sport? Yeah, I get that too or even Guerlain Vetiver, if you dialed down that vetiver a bit and round it all out with a bit of apple pie sweet/spice and a light touch of a subtly soapy clean iris. This can be seen as ENS/GV elevated to Creed quality, but at a price point much closer to Lalique's. Nothing not to like about it, except perhaps a somewhat short longevity. But still a great value for a really nice clone. How do they do it?

Arabian Forest starts out quite perfumy. In fact, it seems like it is just basenotes that I smell. There is not so much a specific direction. It is quite pleasant however, nondescript though. After a while it gets better. While most fragrances start out fresh and then turn warm, Arabian Forest starts out perfumy and then turns fresh. I smell fresh, luxuruous woody notes, really pleasant. Longevity is very good, I'm 8 hours after my sprays and it is still going strong.

definitely gets better the longer it's on your (my) skin, becomes warmer and a little sweeter. First impression is a little dry and uninteresting, but I am liking it now!
