Aromatic Conflict

I have both this as well as interlude man by Amouage. I find them 98% similar and many people on the street probably could not tell the difference. I love this scent it's sweet incense is the main note, along with some ash kind of like cigarette Ash but not in a disgusting way if that exists. This is one of my favorite sentence in the sillage and lasting power are very good,,and nothing lasts on my skin I have many scents that people say they get 4 to 6 hours from that I literally get 5 minutes from so to say that this is an 8 to 12 + our scent is something that I don't say lightly.a must try if you love incense fragrances!

I concur with all the "raves" for this offering. I had the AIM and always felt a little pretentious when I put it on, like the fragrance was wearing me, rather than the fragrance "represented me". AC puts things right. I could and would wear it anywhere, always. Beautifully balanced and blended. It is, as with most fragrances, more prominent upon application, but it is not a chameleon, and turn into something else later.

Being that this is a clone/copy of the original Interlude Man by Amouage which I have had several decants and samples of I will say this is absolutely amazing. Very close to it's inspiration for sure. Worth a full 30 or 60 ml bottle for sure. Great longevity and projection. Try before you buy of course. Enjoy!

This is a great alternative for Interlude Man at an exceptional price. This has a short-term slight skank/BO in the opening that doesn't appear in Interlude and seems to have a strong anise scent up close that is less pronounced in the original. The scent trail is nearly identical.

This is a complete version of Interlude Man with amazing longevity and projection just as it's inspiration. Top notch fragrance from the house of Alexandria. For the price it is the best bang for your dollar. Enjoy!

I pick up a sweet clove note midway that isn’t as present in interlude but side by side they're maybe 95% the same fragrance. Very nice

Edgy balsamic amber with decent smoke and some low quality ioncense accord. Still dense and good stamina but not as monstrous as the og or even the 53 version. Also lacks a lot of the sofistication and nuance. Like several of the other Alexandria dupes this gives a kind of washed out lower qualify experience compared to the original. After wearing it a few times I am even more critical about the composition. Much more generic amber and less of what makes interlude exceptional. The top notes are less distinct and it starts right away with the amber accord. Labdanum and opoponax are muted if detectable at all. oudh is missing completely. In the end this becomes a generic amber forward fragrance with a bit of smoke and some faint incense. Not too bad overall but also not cheap for the price, I would argue that the OG is not of less intrinsic value with superior quality and heft. Adding the innovation and development cost, quality and presentation to the equation, my opinion is that the Amouage version for a decent discount is a far better deal. I won't buy a fb of this.

It is a very unique almost spiritual scented frag. It doesn’t seem to have a top, middle, and base, but that is not necessarily a bad thing. It leans heavy on the incense and smoke which sets it apart from many other scents. The oregano, pimento, and patchouli are the second strongest. The labdanum, oud, sandalwood, and bergamot are also there and add a nice level of complexity. Adding to the scents dynamics and filling it out. All the other synthetic notes that are tagged seem to detract, but have their place none the less. Overall it’s pretty good. It has been described as Arabic from my Moroccan co-worker, and I have received several compliments while wearing. It is nice because it is a completely different option to add to your collection, though not sweet at all, which is typically one of my deciding attributes when looking into frags. Though it has no place here, obviously. You definitely need to be pretty confident in yourself to wear as well. It is a very loud noticeable, smoky, spiritual vibe scent that draws attention. 8/10
