Black Panther

Black Panther is the one for me. The holy grail. The king of all fresh fragrances. I’ve already left a review on this before, but I honestly don’t care. I just reordered three bottles and I’m back to praising it like it deserves. It’s fresh, long-lasting, sparkly, insanely uplifting and it gets compliments without end. This literally smells like heaven in a bottle... it’s just wow. In terms of the Tygar DNA: this is the only one that truly captures that luxurious, expensive aura Tygar has. It gets really close to Tygar, both on skin and in the air, and it’s the only clone where I actually feel that same “rich, polished, high-end” vibe. The grapefruit is photorealistic, bright and juicy, with that sparkling effect that made Tygar famous in the first place. I absolutely do NOT understand anyone saying this doesn’t perform. Yes, it needs some maceration time... give it a bit of air and a few weeks to settle. But after that, this thing is straight up beast mode. Huge projection, long life on skin and clothes, and people notice it. Compliments come effortlessly with this one. And if I catch any more people complaining about the price... come on. This is genuinely luxury-level quality. You’re getting a high-end scent profile, photorealistic citrus, long-lasting, and strong performance. For what it is, a beast mode freshie that smells this amazing and this high quality, the price is totally fair. Forget about Afnan Turathi Blue. It smells cheap next to this. I’ve tried it, and there is no way it belongs in the same conversation as Tygar. People keep praising it like it’s some serious alternative to Tygar. And no. It isn’t. THIS is. Black Panther is the one that actually deserves to be mentioned next to Tygar. And they've upgraded the atomizer to a pressurized one since I last ordered from them, so, shoutout to Alexandria Fragrances For me, this isn’t just “a good clone” anymore. This is holy grail, signature-scent, king-of-freshies territory.

THE most accurate dupe of Tygar full stop. This juice is long-lasting, a compliment-getter and just great for the warm weather. But I do have a minor complaint about it. Tygar in my opinion is very focused on the opening, with beautiful sparkly Grapefruit being the star of the show. Black Panther does also have that same Grapefruit note and I must say it's quite realistic, as is with Tygar. But with Tygar it feels like you're biting right into the flesh of the fruit, sweet yet just enough bitterness. Black Panther is more like a bite into the Grapefruit but you're biting right into the peel. There's this off-putting weird sour-ish, more bitter opening to the Grapefruit note which, I mean it's alright, definitely not bad since other dupes just smack in some synthetic grapefruit that disappears after 10 minutes but there still is some room for improvement on that. If Alexandria Fragrances reformulates to give it a bit less of a peel-ish Grapefruit note, something leaning more fruity, sparkly, then I wouldn't buy Tygar, but right now that extra smoothness in Tygar is just enough for me to buy Tygar over Black Panther Summarized: If Tygar isn't worth dropping 400 USD for, get this. Really good. But for me, That smooth Grapefruit & Ginger opening is what amazed me with Tygar in the first place, so this doesn't cut it for me when put up against Tygar. Solid 9/10

This has quickly become one of my favorite fragrances. It's definitely strong grapefruit with great projection and longevity, but it doesn't really burnout my senses like some other stronger notes will (though I suspect those sensitive to ambroxan will likely steer clear). The ginger comes in right behind the grapefruit, and those notes are present for the rest of the scent's life (probably alongside vetiver, which is in the OG). When I really let myself think about it deeper, I can notice the woodsy notes listed, which would be more patchouli I suppose. I've compared head to head with OG Tygar, and its definitely close, but with that grapefruit juiciness and ginger brightness punched up way higher. The downside is it loses some of the nuance and complexities that are in the original's balance. With that said, however, I still preferred this. Maybe because I'd worn a sample of it first, but I found that I missed the more intense brightness immediately despite that complexity of scent. I ended up getting a bottle of this instead, and am enjoying it without regard for the much cheaper price (though it doesn't hurt). It also layers well with deeper skin-scents for me, like a Tuxedo dupe I own that's a great patchouli, giving it better depth with all the presence. Win win.

This is pretty damn good. If you take a look at the notes you can already tell it's a straight forward fragrance. But simple is good sometimes, not everything needs to be complex or develop over time. It smells the same from opening, mid and drydown. I can easily get 8 hours out of this. It's a projection beast so be mindful of sprays. No more than 3 for me. That's pretty good, since this bottle isn't that big (55ml). This can be worn year round because even though it's fresh, it's performance is through the roof like I said earlier. But since I already have my designated winter scents, this is in my spring and summer rotations. If you care about compliments at all, this will get you quite a few. This is pretty versatile as well, you can wear this out, or at the work place. There's honestly no real downside to this fragrance. 5/5. Edit: I now have tygar. I can confirm this is a top tier dupe. Get this if you want to smell like tygar. The differences are minimal and I wanted to find out for myself. Sure the quality of ingredients are in tygar's favor. But that mainly matters in the opening. Drydown is where they get scarily similar. You won't be disappointed with this one. Just get the 100ml

This one is definitely one of my favorites. As in any Alexandria fragrance, let it macerate for 1-2 months. Even after 2-3 weeks you'll notice a huge difference. They start feeling more vibrant, higher quality. For this one... holly crap. It smells like you have gone to therapy, have your shit in order, know what you want and are a sexy gentleman. It's linear but a date night scent if you go to the beach or daytime if you are in hot/warm weather. It also works for spring breakfasts or even to go to the church if that's your thing. It's clean, fresh and masculine. I had the chance to sample Tygar after getting this as I really loved Black Panther and wanted to check if OG was worth the purchase. Yeah... Tygar is much better, I'd say magical on the opening. Afterwards (30 mins) you have to be really picky or delusional to find differences. That didn't justify the extra 250 bucks for me. I'd say this is a safe blind buy. You'll love it, however... be aware that maceration does a huge difference.

Alexandria Fragrance had a dupe to my PDM (Layton) that I use as an office scent. Obviously, with the price tag I wanted something similar at a lower cost and they DELIVERED. Same scenario with Bulgari Tygar which Black Panther is the dupe to. As far as similarity is concerned I’d give it 85-90% similarly. However, given the price tag of Tygar I’m taking this dupe EASILY. It opens heavy on the citrus and dries down to a well balance of citrus , amber , and wood spices. Four sprays and you will fill a room. I learned that the the hard way lol. I have 60+ in my collection both niche and designer from $500-$30 dollar fragrances, and this is easily a top ten complimented. Overall smell : 8.5 Projection : 10 Sillage : 8.5 Versatility : 8 Solid fragrance especially for the price. More geared toward the summer & spring. But you can get away with it in the early fall.

Black Panther took some time to grow on me. I got it later in my fragrance journey, and since I had already experienced grapefruit-centered scents, it did not wow me at first. I enjoyed the scent profile, but I assumed it would not be one I reached for often. That all changed the first day I wore it to work. Several coworkers stopped me to ask what I was wearing, which had never happened before. I have received compliments on how I smell in the past, but this time felt different. People seemed genuinely interested, and it felt good to get that kind of reaction. I feel like I underestimated the projection and sillage of Black Panther. It actually smells really pleasant in the air and when passing by others. It is also pretty long lasting, as it consistently last around 8 hours on my skin. Solid choice for a signature scent imo.

Don't waste your money on any other Vibrato/Tygar inspired fragrance. This is the one. Amazing performance, the quality of the ingredients are absolutely STELLAR! Photorealistic pink grapefruit right off the bat, absolutely blended to perfection with ginger and light wood, almost teakwood in my opinion. It's so simple, yet so elegant. Performance is exceptional. I am so bummed out that I wasted money trying other similar fragrances before finding Black Panther, yet overjoyed at knowing this exists now. This is a top 5 warm weather frag for me, and should be a no-brainer for anyone looking for something that really stands out in an ocean of generic shower-gel men's fragrances (although I believe this can absolutely be worn by any women as well.) This makes so many other fragrances in the genre absolutely redundant.

Opening is a grapefruit bomb, in a very good way if you like grapefruit as much as I do. It's very well done here, similar to the grapefruit in Bleu De Chanel EDT but a touch sweeter, like a semi-sweet variety of grapefruit. When it starts to dry down after 15-20 minutes the ambroxen and a light woodiness joins in. This is simplicity done at a high level. I've worn it three times so far and seem to get good projection for the first couple hours with moderate projection. BUT, I sprayed just two sprays once after a shower and my wife commented negativity about how strong it is so I'm assuming like most ambroxen scents that you go nose blind to it quickly. Also factor Alexandrias usually get better as they macerate a few weeks or so (my Zion did).

They say the game should be sold not told... Left up to me I wouldn’t tell anyone what this is. I wore this for the first time last night! I counted 4 compliments. This juice is incredible... it’s citrusy and creamy at the end also very fresh from the ambroxan! The projection is good but the silage is the true banger with this one... you walk by people they will turn heads. This is one of my favorites... absolute steal for the price! Legit beast mode frag, I don’t see how anyone could dislike this scent! Buy it please do yourself a favor it’s perfect for summer I think you can wear it better during the day but don’t be afraid to let black panther do its thing on a night out or special occasion. I must say this is one of the strongest freshies I own, and I think it's because of the ambroxin. So word of advice is less sprays is probably best. Not only is it strong but it lasts a long time. If you are sensitive to ambroxin stay away, but if you want something that gets you attention (usually positive from the opposite sex), this is a good fragrance. Even though I like it, the scent profile isn't a love for me BUT I cannot deny the crazy amounts of compliments I do get with it when I choose to wear it. Edit: I absolutely love their black panther extrait which unfortunately isn't listed here. It takes this fragrance and adds a touch of sweetness and darkness with a little incense. Both are great but I prefer the extrait.

After having smelt the Bvlgari's Tygar from a decanted tester (oh dear, how expensive even that one was!), I immediately sought for an alternative because of the very high price. And this is it: Black Panther is as good as the Tygar! One of the most amazing scents ever created. It may be that the very first opening notes are little less intense than it was with Tygar but that doesn't really matter to me. This one also lasts during the day but I haven't compared Tygar yet from this perspective (maybe will add this comparison later). I'm glad this is available for everyone to try for an affordable price. It is definitely better and closer to Tygar than another even cheaper similar scent Afnan Turathi Blue; but both are good.

I've had Black Panther for a hot minute and I can say confidently that it is a beast. Easily one of the best ~$100 fragrance purchases I have made. It's simplistic yes, but I think that's what's brilliant about it. It's not out of place anywhere. It's the right amount of brash, fresh, masculine, and even elegant to fit most guys in most situations. I think it is a touch youthful but I don't think more mature gentlemen are going to get hate for rocking this. For those having longevity issues, I'd suggest taking a look at the amount of fragrance your atomizer is dispersing. While I think this fragrance is incredible, the atomizer certainly is not. Spray accordingly and this should be lasting you all day.

I have a decant of the original Tygar and tried its many clones, Black Panther stands out to me as the best among them. It’s about 90% similar to the original with excellent projection and longevity. Don't expect 100% similarity, just like the Aventus dupes, the opening sniffs of Tygar can't be replicated. Beyond that, they’re pretty much the same though. Black Panther also doesn't suffer from cheap-smelling Ambroxan like many dupes do. For a fraction of the price of the original, Black Panther offers a nearly identical scent of a scent DNA which isn’t very complex to begin with. If you’re looking for value without sacrificing quality, this is a smart choice. Thank me later!

Wow! I haven’t put my nose yet on the original Bulgari Tygar but I concur with the positive reviews below. To my nose, this is a winner. The citrus opening is one of the sexiest I smelled. I love it’s scent profile and it’s performance and longevity is simply amazing. Best for Spring, Summer and early Autumn. If this dupe smells so good, how much more is the original? With a price point that will make you smile, this is a no brainer if your nose agrees with it. Collection worthy. Easy 10/10 “Let's spread the scents of peace and kindness. Ok going by my experience this fragrance is a massive compliment getter and it's not luke warm compliments either. Personally I like the way afternoon splash smells more (they are both very similar), but I have gotten more compliments with black panther. This fragrance is a great performer especially for a freshie and the sillage is quite noticeable. So strong in fact that it could probably be used for all seasons including winter, but I personally wouldn't use it in that season. Considering it's cloning an expensive cologne and doing a great job at that according to most people (I don't know personally since I've never tried tygar), this is a no brainer.

Este tienes que dejarlo macerar. Cuando pasan dos meses desde que agarra oxigeno y macera se convierte en algo increíble. Al principio que lo compre no encontraba la potencia. El proceso de maceración es el siguiente. Al comprarlo lo utilizas (para que le entre oxigeno a el frasco) y también puedas comparar su performance, y esperas una semana. A los 7 días vuelves a usarlo, de esta manera le entra más oxigeno. Repite este proceso cada 7 días y veras que al mes las fragancia sera otra. A los dos meses tendrás una fragancia que será una bomba de cumplidos!! Eso fue lo que hice y acabo de pedir otra botella!! Una de mis favoritas !!!!

I've let mine sit (macerate) for right at 2 months since my 1st impression and I have to say this is nothing short of magnificent...but I love grapefruit and I like ambroxan when done right (not Sauvage edt or Office One). This is blended very well, slightly synthetic but not offputting, uplifting, fresh, zesty and clean with a touch of sweetness from the ambroxan and a hint of woods for backbone and depth. This will be in high rotation this spring/summer. Almost forgot I had this until today when I decided to get the spring fragrances out from the closet, lol. 2nd impressions overall is a 9/10, thoroughly enjoyable!

If you’re thinking about trying Alexandria and aren’t sure because of the way it’s marketed, please give them a go. This stuff is absolutely amazing. It’s very similar to Goldfield & Banks ingenious ginger, but a bit less sweet/vanilla as it dries down. This makes it feel slightly more masculine. Longevity: I sprayed a bit on the back of my hand, did an hour digging up the the garden in heat, had a shower, had dinner, went to bed and can still detect it on my hand the following morning as I write this review. I really do not see why you would ever spend more for this dna when this does it so well.

I started wearing this again, I honestly forgot how good it was. Today I got a true compliment on the smell and it reaffirmed what I had thought all along. This is great stuff, I have smelled Blgari Tigre, but this is close enough to it that it scratches the itch for a cheaper price. People will compliment you if you're into that... I would actually say this is my most complimented scent. it's just alluring and smooth the ambroxan and grapefruit mix is just well done! Also women love it and I think it's unisex also, but I just find that its bold and fun and it gets you the attention you want.
