Brooklyn Fragrance Lover

Like many others, I got a sample of Angel's Share, loved it, but did not love the cost of a full bottle lol. So after probably too much research, I picked up a 30ml bottle of BFL and never looked back. Now, after making it most of the way through my current 100ml bottle, I cannot overstate how much I love this scent. Over the last two years, this has genuinely become my favorite to wear. The compliments I've gotten definitely haven't hurt either - at work, at the movies, while grocery shopping, even at places like anime conventions. In my humble (and very biased) opinion, Alexandria Fragrances has managed to surpass the original in both depth and longevity. It lasts throughout the entire day for me (and often a little bit into the next), smells incredible from start to finish, and never gets overwhelming. The sillage does drop after 6-8 hours, but for BFL that's just going from a solid 5+ foot radius of delicious boozy (cognac) apple pie right after application to catching an amazing whiff of vanilla, cinnamon, and the perfect amount of powder when you move around the next morning. I know scents are seasonal and situational, and this is definitely more of a fall/winter+nighttime/date night, but it feels like a shame to limit it at all lol. I just want to smell like it 24/7 ☺️ Cannot recommend this one enough, thank you Alexandria Fragrances 🙏

I meant to do a review on this fragrance when it originally came out and I blind bought it. I legit bought it without even looking at the notes. Carlos had such a great channel and I had to buy the one fragrance paying homage to my fellow Brooklynite. Into the actual review... beautiful scent. I hadn't smelled the OG at the time, but this is def in the same ball park...if you let it mature 2-3 months... it gets VERY BOOZY, cinnamon, praline, chocolatey. This is easily my fav boozy gourmand. Great date night fragrance. Good projection, lasts at least 8 hours on my skin...def lingers in the air as you walk... I've gotten so many compliments, my wife loves it. The original has more woody notes to it, more masculine imo. This is truly unisex. I can't say it leans either which way... maybe very slightly masculine but not enough to vote "more masc". If you're looking to save some money, and you want a high quality smelling boozy gourmand - look no further. AF has the sample box you can get for $50 (I think it's 7 fragrance samples that come in little spray vials) ... completely worth it. Hany did right by Carlos with this one. RIP to one of the best to do it in the fragrance community.

Bought this fragrance off of the reviews I saw on here and I’m definitely not disappointed. Never smelled Angel’s Share, but this smells fantastic. It opens boozy for sure, but almost immediately it goes into apple and then it smells like an apple cinnamon roll all in about 5 minutes. I bought this for nights out and I can say it definitely fits that vibe. It’s very cozy and inviting. It had me a little nervous about the boozy part as I didn’t want to smell like I was tipsy, but it definitely doesn’t give that vibe. Performance is good i put it on this morning at 6:30am and can still smell it at 4:00pm. Would absolutely recommend.

I haven't smelled Angel's Share, but if this is in the ballpark...excellent juice. This is the kind of gourmand I can use. Big fan of the milky chocolate, vanilla, and Tonka beans combo. The cognac is here as a background dancer. Definitely unisex, anyone can pull this off but you need to like sweet, chocolate scents...that's mandatory because there's a lot of that in this juice. This scent will be amazing in cooler weather. This is a big date night scent because it's something you'll want to get closer to, to eventually eat. It will last awhile on skin, about 7 to 8 hours. For my nose, I give this an easy 8.5 out of 10.

This is a really nice fragrance if you’re into Angels’ Share. I’ve only smelled the original once, but from what I remember, this is extremely similar—probably around 90–95%. It nails that boozy apple pie vibe that people always compare to Angels’ Share. That said, I still wear this one as its own standalone scent, not just as a clone. I love how it smells; it’s well-blended, smooth, and never harsh. I could see myself wearing this during a night out or a date night in the winter. Performance is excellent, with strong projection and all-day longevity, especially on clothes. I rate it ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5).

I’m wearing this right now and WOW!!! I’ve owned it since last August 2022, and it’s only gotten better and better with time. Sweet boozy vanilla with praline oak and sandalwood. IMO, it doesn’t smell cheap or synthetic at all. On the contrary, it’s rich, almost syrupy and delicious!! I’ve smelled Angels Share. It’s lovely. This is not that, but it’s incredible on its own for sure. Get it; let it sit and breathe, and then enjoy how beautiful it is. (I do this with most if not all my frags, and it almost always pays off. Just takes a little patience, but it’s worth it!)

If I had to choose just one cologne for the winter, it would undoubtedly be this one. While it may be marketed more toward date nights, I can't resist spraying it everywhere I go during the colder months. It's important to note that this is definitely a gourmand fragrance, with a boozy cinnamon roll aroma that might not appeal to everyone. Although I haven't compared it side by side to Angel's Share, they're so alike that it's a little crazy to buy the real deal although I probably will. Nevertheless, this fragrance from Alexandria is my absolute favorite.

I got the 60 ml, about 2 years ago. Sprayed it 40 times, let it sit for 2 years, just now coming back to it. Insane performance. Anyone that comes within a sidewalks distance (5 feet) will smell. And it lasts for 10 hours easy, slightly less projection around 5 hours. Well worth it's weight in gold, much better then khamrah. If you love that vein, this is a safe blind buy. If you hate dry apple pie, stay away. This smells like a nicer khamrah, for almost similar price. I believe this was 60 ml for 75$ when I got it, not sure on pricing now at Alexandria

A cozy and romantic winter's evening fragrance. "Boozy apple pie" is the phrase that most comes up in everyone's description of this, and that's right on the money: the fruit-forward cognac note with the tonka and vanilla plus the praline evoke pretty much that. Also, unlike many gourmands, the sweetness in this is not overwhelming. I've yet to try Angel's Share, but it's hard to imagine how that could be much nicer. This is one of my favorites from Alexandria, and it's quite reasonably priced.

This stuff is so amazing , sweet , kind of boozy but not as boozy as angel share , cinnamon , goodness my mouth is watering just describing it , Alexandria is one of my favorite cloning houses , and for good reason , I initially ordered a 30 ml bottle , when I got this in and wore it I ordered a back up bottle immediately, lasts a long time too , only wear this if you wanna be eaten haha . Smells great. The main notes I get are cinnamon, vanilla, tonka and cognac. It lasts about 8 hours and leaves a nice scent trail. A good word to describe this would be intoxicating. Definitely for the fall and winter months only, it will get cloying if you try it in this heat. I just don't see myself wearing this as It leans feminine, but I'll give it a few more tests to see if it changes my mind. But regardless of that I'll give this a 4.5/5. Really nice scent

It smells very nice, I do love it. Reminds me of Plum Japonaise mixed with Lost Cherry, very fruity sweet and boozy with a distinct amaretto note with dried fruits. In the air it’s great but close up it’s a bit strong. Oily and sticky on the skin so don’t spray on fabric because it will leave marks. With 3 sprays it projects for 3hours then it sits closer to the skin. Definitely a safe blind buy. The price is fair for an indie perfume.

This is Angel’s Share for a fraction of the price. Seriously. I have a bottle of Angel’s Share that I’m stingy with because it was $200 a bottle. This smells exactly like it for a mere fraction of that cost. If there is any difference, it is so subtle that it’s certainly not worth spending the money to have the real thing. It’s definitely a sweet fragrance but it’s amazing.

Best dupe of Angel's Share hands down. This is boozy apple pie with pecans to my nose. What I want to know is...regarding the scent, how do they create the crustiness of the apple pie? BECAUSE IT'S THERE. Autumn magic right here, I love this stuff. Better quality and scent profile than Kismet Angel and Khamrah in my personal opinion. Great performance.

The cinnamon and tonka bean give it that spicy flair supported by a light vanilla and a prominent sandalwood. I just barely detect the boozy quality but I actually prefer it that way. Praline adds a slight sweet complexity to the already subtle vanilla. I liked the scent immediately. It’s really quite nice and the performance is solid.

Not sure how this compares to angels share. However, smells wayyyy better than Lattafa Khamrah. Boozy, sweet, very nice blend. Was happy even for the price, which is a bit much for a clone. Anyone thinking of purchasing, the code Alexandria15 is always active, for 15% off. This is one of the good ones.

It's a wet miserable day in England, and I reached for this as it's so cosy and warm. Last time I wore it was Christmas and it is so so beautiful! It will definitely be my festive fragrance, it's warming and sweet without being sicky. I just can't stop smelling my arm! Uuummmmmmm

I haven't tried Angel's Share yet, but this is so nice on its own. Sweet vanilla and tonka with some cognac grounded by oak and sandalwood. It's also long-lasting. Isn't as dense as you would think, making it great for spring and early fall wear.

This is fantastic!!! Alexandria did a great job on this one. I’m comparing the two with one on each wrist. It smells slightly more boozy than Angel’s Share, but otherwise identical. It actually appears that the dupe is longer lasting on me.

Actually an amazing alternative, I have both and I get less booze and more cinnamon from this but it's really really close and performs just as well. Alexandria really has some gems.

This is absolutely delicious. And it is so spot on!!!! Didn't like AS enough to warrant a bottle but I will absolutely be buying a bigger bottle of this!

It's kind of funny that someone below mentioned a cinnamon roll smell because the first time I sprayed this, my wife told me I smelled like a cinnamon roll. I don't think she meant that in a good way, but I've worn this three times and do think it smells amazing from limited smells.

This is a great clone of Angel's Share. Tested with AS side by side, resulted almost identical. BFL is maybe even better, smoother and richer, as it is extrait de parfum. For anyone who hasn't tried AS, this is a alcholic, boozy, sweet fragrance.

Agree with all that is said below, and will add that this is virtually (if not totally) identical to AF's Apple Crumb. So if you already have that, buying this one will seem redundant.

80% dupe 1 month after opening (may need to mature more). It is sweeter, less boozy & less wood prominent than the original.

The opening smells very similar to By Kilian ANGELS' SHARE but they gradually become more and more different the longer they are on my skin. (If you actually WANT to see the difference, try wearing one on each wrist through a full day.) Kilian is silky and sweet throughout the life of the wear, 6-8 hours. BFL is not as smooth and develops a stronger musk and slightly bitter profile in the dry down. At 2-4 hours BFL has lost a great deal of it's sweetness and balance while taking on a rougher, more rugged tone but lasts 10+ hours. I can understand why this version appeals to some. The price is nice but I appreciate the refinement of the original too much to enjoy this substitute, especially during a side by side comparison.

Ive smelt booze fragrances before and i have found them absolutely repulsive. And well, this is also tolerable at best. A dark but really sugary alcohol. The cognac is definitely the strongest note, so go to your nearest store and buy yourself a little bottle of dark liquor, put it into a cup with a dash of cinnamon and a spoonful of sugar, smell it. Is it good? Buy this. Does it smell like a christmas table filled with obnoxious alcoholics? Dont buy this. Performance is great aswell.

It was my mistake to not buy a sample of this beforehand, definitely not blind buy worthy. What I learned after buying this is I don't like the smell of cognac, after 2-3 hours it dissipates. That's when the fragrance starts to shine, 6/10 for the first 2-3 hours, 8/10 after that

This smells like cinnamon fluoride rinse with a hint of incense and that's it. Also, it gives off old man vibes, like 65 plus vintage dusty smell... I Hate it.

One of my favourite Angels’ Share dupes!! A beautiful, warm, vanillic apple pie scent. This smells incredibly similar both in the dry down and as it wears. The spices are just a TINY bit more powdery (kind of like you added a drop of Lattafa’s Khamrah to Angels’ Share) but it still develops the same light creaminess as Angels’ Share after a few hours. It has moderate sillage and lasts all day on me. In terms of perfumes listed as similar— ✔️ Fragrance World Cocktail Intense: very similar ✔️ Maison Alhambra Kismet Angel/Magic: very similar ❌ Paris Corner Emir Fire Your Desire: much woodier ❌ Alexandria Apple Crumb: very earthy, patchouli-heavy ❌ Kayali Eden Juicy Apple: a bright and juicy apple scent ❌ Lattafa Khamrah: more date-heavy and powdery ❌ Tom Ford Lost Cherry: a boozy cherry scent

Is this nice? Absolutely. Would I buy something 80-90% (or however much it is) similar to this for about 300£ per 100 ml? Absolutely NOT. On first sniff this reminded me of freshly baked almástészta (a pie sort of thing us Hungarians have with apples and cinnamon in between layers of pie crust), it's as if I was eating that and drinking some Tokaji Szamorodni (sweet white wine) - as I don't ever have cognac. Longevity and sillage are great for the price! It's all in all a nice scent and I might buy a full bottle of this at one point but I genuinely struggle to understand why people would spend that much for a scent like this (meaning buying Angel's share). It's not all that!

I have the original AS by K and it's such a great fragrance but just dropping by to pay my tribute to the late Carlos of Brooklyn Fragrance Lover. I will check this frag out soon. “Let us spread the scents of peace and kindness. The two most beautiful fragrance in the world that will cost you nothing and will get you a totally different kind of compliments” 🙏

This is a good scent, but it's too bad Alexandria didn't clone TF's discontinued Amber Absolute as homage to Brooklyn Fragrance Lover, since that was widely known as BFL's favorite fragrance. -Especially since the perfumer of Amber Absolute (Christophe Laudamiel) tweeted out the formula of AA in tribute to Carlos, almost inviting someone to do a clone...

I've never smelled Angel's Share so this is a standalone review. It's gorgeous. Cinnamon, praline, and a boozy, boozy aura. Possibly one of the bests out there. Sometimes, I catch that toothpaste note in the dry-down, but don't bother/stress about it.

This smells very similar to Kismet Angel / Magic but higher quality, richer and with better performance. Sharaf Blend and Khamrah are both a lot sweeter than this and don’t have the same booziness / woodiness at all.

Received mine recently and man, I really love this. Really gourmand and strong. My 30ml is in the beautiful blue bottle with gold top. It’s beautiful.

Naming a fragrance after Brooklyn Fragrance Lover from Youtube is just the sweetest homage. The notes look fabulous, so this is very fitting. <3

Oh I’m so eager to try this and I think it’s a brilliant idea to name a fragrance in honor of Carlos. Of course it needs a boozy note! 😉

it smells cheap, synthetic and absolutely nothing close to like angel share, like 10-20%
