Danger Zone

Got myself a tiny 1ml sample of RD DPH (which I reviewed earlier) to compare with this and was blown away by both the beauty and the accuracy of Danger Zone. Absolutely identical to Roja Dove Danger Pour Homme (which I’ve just reviewed in more detail), this is a stunningly good copy of a stunningly beautiful fragrance. The only discernible difference is in the performance, Danger Zone has stronger projection and better longevity. It’s a very complex fougere, with elements of old school perfumery, masterfully updated with a modern twist. Very mature, very gentlemanly and very sophisticated. It’s sure to attract compliments and generate intrigue, it’s so alluring. A versatile fragrance for all occasions, after all, I can’t envisage a time when you wouldn’t want to smell this good! Strongly recommended to true fragrance lovers who’ll appreciate the level of artistry in this masterpiece. AF do Roja Dove fragrances very well, I’ve tried their dupes of Danger, Scandal (not shown on Fragrantica), Richwood and A Midsummer Dream and they’re all accurate, beautiful renditions.

The fragrance to show you’re a grown up man. When you want to be both clean, sophisticated, and masculine. You aren’t out looking for dates with the modern trend of sweet gormound fragrances, nor are you blending in with a detergent like blue—instead, you’re confident in your own skin. If worn with constraint, it’s perfect for the office or church. Other fragrances that fill this need for me are Prada Amber pour Homme, Guerlain Pour Homme, & Dior Homme Sport 2021 as all of them bring the clean musks together with some masculine resinous edge.

The bright citrus opening leads to floral notes which are supported by creamy vanilla and tonka bean piqued by patchouli and musk. Such an elegant, masculine fragrance, at a very affordable price. Projection and sillage here are unassuming, and longevity is average, so it does not qualify as a powerhouse. However, more mature, elegant gentlemen will appreciate this very sophisticated, subtle creation.

This stuff absolutely does not play around... I actually have joked around with friends and family that have smelt it and call it “Duh Duh Danger Zone!” in a gruff voice. It’s funny and pretty expected but any woman that I’ve let smell this that was over the age of 50 absolutely loved it. What you have here is an extremely potent masculine old school style fragrance.. the lemon, cumin and synthetic castoreum are very present. I picture a very weathered masculine man in his 50’s-60’s wearing this.. a man wearing some tight acid wash Levi’s with rattlesnake skin cowboy boots and a black t shirt tucked in with a black belt. Chances are he smokes cigarettes as well.. This stuff I would never personally wear but I do absolutely appreciate what type of fragrance it is and what it is doing. It’s actually done very well for what it’s trying to accomplish here. Like I already mentioned if you get a hold of this stuff prepare yourself to enter the Duh Duh Danger Zone!

This fragrance is not for the feint of heart, it is a no apologies masculine scent guaranteed to grow you some chest hairs. Definitely a throwback to the 80's powerhouses, and it takes a certain personality to pull this off. Performance for me at least is great, and as someone else commented, this is best worn with restraint, IMO 1 or two sprays max. The scent is very nostalgic for me as it would be something I would smell on an uncle, but don't let that scare you, it smells great and got kick, I'm just not sure if it suits me particularly. Rated a like. BTW the far dry down is heavenly.
