Ete Sauvage Elixir

Glad they finally added this one. I've worn this one extensively for over two years now. I don't know why fragrantica is saying it was launched in 2024, I received mine in may of 2022. I've worn it on the left and gone to the mall to spray Sauvage elixir on the right. I cannot tell them apart once it dries down. I don't own both, so I cannot compare the opening directly, but when you spray the clone on, there is no weirdness at all. No harshness or lack of quality. To my memory, the opening of Ete Sauvage Elixir is the same as Sauvage Elxir's opening. The longevity is outstanding, one of my most Nuclear performers 12-14 hours with well above average projection. I got this before there were any other Sauvage Elixir clones out there, before Asad. I've wanted to get Asad, because it is so cheap, but every time I go to pull the trigger on it, I go smell this one and realize I don't need to. Great presentation on these bottles too. Alexandria Fragrances doesn't always hit the mark, but they nailed this one. Of all their clones I've tried, this one is by far the best.

I'm rarely ever a nay-sayer of ANY fragrance on Fragrantica (keeping those attitudes to myself), but just a caution based on the "very positive" reviews here....I bought a $20 decant and tried this side-by-side with DSE at least 4 different times, and generally ete sauvage elixir smells like it's got about 25% more licorice and 25% less lavender in comparison to DSE (ie. I can't tell if that's the one somewhat cancelling the other, or not). The deeper into the drydown it goes the closer it gets to DSE--but from start to finish the licorice is definitely MORE notable than in DSE. Overall performance is at least that of DSE, and maybe a touch better! Recommendation due to full bottle pricing--decant sample before you buy.

1:1 clone cannot tell the difference unless I force myself to but in all best cologne from Alexandria will be ordering a backup for my signature scent.

Let this bitch sit for 3-4 months. It'll smooth out and it's 90% the OG. This shit is for real men only. You femmies can kick rocks. 8.1/10

It opens with Patchouli Oil(Heart Oil) with the the scent profile of Sauvage Elixir in the background surrounded by a Camphorous bubble from the Patchouli. In about 10 to 15 minutes the Camphorous Patchouli Heart Oil starts to fade and the Scent profile of Sauvage Elixir shines through. I compared the two of them side by side and didn't notice until I tried Ete Sauvage Elixir that The OG has a bit of a synthetic undertone. I actually feel like Ete Sauvage Elixir is higher quality. I haven't had a chance to wear it for a day so I'll update on the longevity.

1:1 Clone? Nope. While the opening smells extremely close, the dry down on the OG is massively different. As with all Alexandrias I’ve tried, it’s very linear. What you smell in the opening is more or less what you will smell in the dry down. I love Sauvage Elixir for its dry down, and this doesn’t capture it at all. It misses out on the gorgeous ambery licorice and sandalwood dry down from the real thing. This is noticeably lower quality than the OG and lacks the density that it has. Better off buying the real thing.

Argh! Just got a travel sample of this and it’s amazing, but I’ve also just ordered the OG. Now I have a dilemma - do I just keep the OG or leave it unopened and return it and get a full bottle of this?! OG 60mL cost me £117 (discounts) Alexandria 50mL is £52.99 Seems a no brainer, but I’ll need to test this on skin and clothes to see its longevity and dry down on skin to make my decision. Spot on clone - closest interpretation I’ve tested out of: Lataffa - Asad Al Haramain - Azlan blue oud French Avenue - Enigma une Zimaya - Zukhruf Black Could someone that has this message me to let me know if it gets stronger over time? Because this is a dupe I’m wondering will it mature and get stronger

This is as spot on as you can ask for without just buying the real thing! From the moment I first sniffed it I was like.... YUP. It smells just like it and it projects just as good. It's going on hour 5 and no sign of stopping. No joke, i sell cars and I had to open the windows cause being in a small area overloaded my nose. I did 3 sprays but I'm going down to 2 next time. Expensive for a 30ml, but compared to the price of the OG you can't complain. A little will go a long way and I cannot see myself daily-ing this at my current job lol saving it for special occasions.

A phenomenal clone from Alexandria. I have had 4 others from this house and they aren't even close to this one. This is one of the best clones in terms of scent, quality, projection, longevity, and sillage. It's also not cheap for a clone, but cheaper than Sauvage Elixir. This is way, way better than Lattaffa Asad. Gave it away. Sauvage Elixir is better quality in general, in all facets, than Ete Sauvage Elixir, but 100% it's an amazingly good clone. However, you can pick up a full bottle of the OG on Mercari for a little more than a new bottle of Alexandria's version.

98 percent similar to the real deal only thing it has a slightly different dry down but overall extremely similar I was thinking of getting the real deal but then smelled it and I own this and they smell exactly the same and I don’t even wanna spend the money on the og anymore lol but this is a 10/10 for me very strong performance and as close as it gets to the OG you won’t be disappointed but macerate this for 3 months because it is a dupe so they don’t sit in stock like designers this frag is worth it.

The first time I smelled the real deal I absolutely didn't like it, I thought it smelled like cough syrup so I tried it on a different trip to the mall and this time I loved it so I found this clone and it's not a 100% clone but maybe 90% which is not bad, it's more on the fresher side but the performance seems to have diminished significantly within a year that I've had it so I'm not sure why, I just spray on more I guess, not a bad deal for the price.

I think I am not fan of Elixirs. Tried dozen of them and they are just off putting to my nose. That's why I abstain from rating this one. As far as clones goes it is quite good, still there are quite some differences, and I would be hesitent to spent 50-60usd on this if you love the original which you can grab for 100-110usd. In all honesty, that's not a difference worth loosing the quality that comes with the original.

As someone who has sampled Dior's Sauvage Elixir for an extended time I can say that to my nose this is a very close dupe. That's all there is to it. Performance may be slightly better (sillage & longevity) for this as it is classified as an extrait, I believe. Sauvage Elixir projects more and is more aromatic and/or fresher. This dupe comes across as a little more sweet and spicy.

1 to 1 to the OG my Alexandria bottle is 9 months old and it’s so close to the OG when I went to buy it I put the OG back like I got this at home 😂😂too close and this is a beast when it comes to performance especially since I let my juice sit for 9 months 10/10 no need to buy the OG when this is out only dupe I have in my collection it’s here to stay 💯

Being on sale now is it worth the total 85$(100 ml) or just put that to the og? Seems eBay has some cheap og but I fear they may be knockoffs. ?
