Été Sauvage

I absolutely love this fragrance, best rendition of the Sauavage DNA, however the performance is unfortunately where this fragrance falls short. Brilliant opening not sharp at all, but subtle for the rest of this fragrance's lifespan. Honestly it's a more subtle and refined take on the Sauvage DNA, i dig it.

Well this is a dead ringer for Dior Sauvage. From start to finish. Extremely well done. Considering the price for 60 ml ($40 US) I would say this is worth the price for fans of the Dior juice. Longevity and projection are the same as Sauvage. A clear winner from this house. Enjoy!

I'm jealous. I'm getting pretty poor performance out of my bottle. It smells fantastic on the open but quickly morphs into a skin scent on me. I'm actually surprised.

Full disclosure; I DO NOT like Dior Sauvage EDT/ETP. Smells very harsh to my nose and I just can't handle it. Yes, I'm in "that" crowd regarding the original. I respect Dior as a fragrance house and generally enjoy what they to offer, both male and female. That being said, I appreciate this inspiration. Yes, I get some nose burn on the initial spray, however, it smells much brighter and wearable to me which may be a sign that I need to buy the original again and see if my nose has changed. Best of all is that I can pinpoint certain notes in this one. RANT OVER

got this for my brother-in-law who likes Sauvage. Not sure what Sauvage smells like but for this one, smells like a masculine staple, very familiar. Anyhow, think this would please both women and men alike and safe for blind-buy. With the above said, not an edgy statement maker, but good for daytime. :)

The one I got from Alexandria is weak. It lasts little, disappears quickly. The smell itself is interesting and good. If only it was stronger.

The good stuff. Stygian. Smells better than the original. Prefer the Elixir.

This is awful. So £35 for 55ml. Whilst Sauvage EDT is £119 for 200 and EDP is £130 for 200. Whilst this is £140 if you if you buy 4 botltes and get 220ml. It's just not worth it, yes it smells the same but the performance is weaker and it's MORE expensive than the original. Nowadays you can buy the 400ml refillable bottle for £208, making it 0.52/ml in comparison to this clone which comes out at 0.64/ml. You're paying MORE for a WEAKER clone.

Smells quite like EDT Sauvage. Similar longevity and sillage but just not as rounded. I can actually buy Sauvage cheaper so see no reason to pay more for an inferior clone.

Note: this Alexandria scent was inspired by the Parfum version of Sauvage, not the EDT, so that's what I based this review on. I smelled Ete Sauvage and Sauvage EDP side by side on my wrists and they are virtually identical. The Alexandria version softens the ambroxan note a bit so it's not quite so harsh and stringent, which I like. I think anyone who enjoys Sauvage (either the EDT or the EDP, honestly) will really like this version, especially for the added longevity. Personally, though, I'm not a huge fan, just because I'm not a huge fan of the original Sauvage to begin with. But I guess if I had to wear something that smelled like Sauvage, I'd go with the Alexandria bottle for the more refined ambroxan approach, and superior staying power.

It has the drydown of Sauvage EDT but not the explosive beginning so it is more reminiscent of EDP. Problem is that it sits close to skin the whole time. Nice, if you do not want to let the whole building know you are wearing Sauvage, but a shame as I like this more than Sauvage EDP. More sprays does not mean that it becomes nuclear but it gives a better projection in the beginning.

This is the fraternal twin of Sauvage. It'd be the identical twin of Sauvage if it projected better. For the price though, you can bathe yourself in it and not feel guilty. Very much worth a try from this house.

It's so funny I was using Luna Rosaa Carbon earlier in the day, and found myself thinking a higher dose of citrus would help this fragrance. Then I smelled this beauty...

Alexandria Fragrance came up with the Elixir version of this and I truly love it. It must be at least 90% similar to the OG.

no need to buy Sauvage anymore! this is damn close if not identical.
