H7

I didn't know cough syrup could be so sexy and captivating, but here we are. If you like the sweet, cough-syrupy aspects of M7, then H7 is for you.I won't try to decipher what notes Alexandria is playing differently to achieve that effect, but the end-result is a sweeter, more medicinal masculine beast. One could argue it's a wee bit screechier up close, but in the air it remains smooth, sweet, and oh so syrupy. The performance also lasts and projects just an appropriate amount to be surely noticed but not overwhelming. I also don't grow nose-blind to H7 the same way I do with the original M7's. My little sample of H7 was captivating enough for me to blind-purchase the original M7 and the later Oud Absolu earlier in my fragrance journey As great as those YSL masterpieces are, I still savor my sample of H7 enough to eventually buy a full bottle of it as well. Of the dozen or so Alexandria fragrances ive experienced, H7 tops my list. As M7's hype has faded over the years, so too has H7 become all but overlooked amidst the commendable portfolio Alexandria has built. But it certainly deserves more attention, and I'm grateful for giving it the chance to catch mine.

OMG! Absolutely stunning. Near 100% exact to Tom Ford M7. WOW this is just a complete winner. This is FULL BOTTLE WORTHY. Buy back up bottles if you love M7. This is some of the best work from Alexandria. Hany, keep them coming sir.

A bit softer than the original. Not a compliment getter. Same medicinal feel but toned down a notch. The first few hours are more on the citrus side until the oud takes center stage which is good IMO. Longevity is strong but this one is not for everyone which reminds you why the original did not sell well and was discontinued.

Haven't tried M7 but I will give my review on H7. Opens up a little medicinal, dries down to a fresh, vetiver, aromatic smell with faint hints of woody 'oud' notes in the background. I would call it more of a fresh vetiver scent than an 'oud' scent. Not bad if you like woody fragrances.

Have never tried M7, so can't comment on how close H7 is to it. After H7's initial citrus-y and somewhat fruity opening it dries down to a great, warm woody vetiver scent. There might be a touch of oud - couldn't really be sure - but it's pretty subtle. Also has a very slight touch of sweetness. Quite a masculine fragrance. Longevity is quite good - got about a little more than 9 hours out of it. Projection was more on the average side; it's not room filling. Given all that, H7 didn't really wow me. I mean, it's nice but if I wanted to wear a warm fragrance, I'd reach for Counterattack or Ambre Sultan more than I'd ever reach for H7.

I'm sorry to say it but many perfumery houses tried to recreate this masterpiece that is so called M7 but all failed to most extend.This one is no exception.Still having a tester of the original vintage bottle and the new version (absolu) I can definitely say this one only has a hint of the original dna(maybe 20 to 30 percent).Upon first spray the Original opens up fruity and dark with that mandarin orange and bergamot.Then it develops into a smoky-aromatic type of oud (reminding me of an old cedar wardrobe),with hints of vanilla (amber) and huge doses of labdanum.I even get iris from the original formulation compared to H7.Now H7 opens up fruity still but not the same smell at all which is a big thumps down from me,a very synthetic type of mandarin.Also it has a very synthetic/headache inducing molecule that mimics oud (not natural smelling at all) compared to the vintage M7 which also contained synthetic oud but it did not smelled this way.Here it smells awfull and loud (I get it is a dupe but common it is not even the same smell).Only common resemblance is the drydown which H7 tries to mimic but still fails.Maybe Dua's D7 is closer to the vintage in terms of the whole smell but for me is a big NO for this one.It does not develop into anything more than the drydown.

I have no idea as to what M7 smells like . Hopefully I will find it in the wild of a thrift store or flea market one day . (Stranger things have happened in my travels). H7 is a full on "luxury" smell. Think : "$350.00 a bottle" . It's masculine, rich and thick. It echos "classic masculine fragrances from the past" . This is not for young guys . You have to be 40 and up. Very happy with this blind buy and I cannot wait for it to get stronger as it sits around for a while. ( As per: Chicago Tony T's review : Not sure why he was so down on this . I can imagine this getting compliments as well as his "not for everybody" is a bit severe. I like and admire Tony's reviews but he's a bit "off" on H7 . It's just probably not going to go over well with collage aged dudes). This does NOT smell like the boring Bentley Intense. EDIT: There is a TINY hint of "sweetness" in this..maybe a hint of blueberry ?

I have had this for way over a year and could never get on board with it........... until TONIGHT! I don't know what happened but this BLOSSOMED ! If you own this and are still not happy - spray it once a month , shake the bottle, and wait till next year to wear it. This really opened up for me into a sophisticated high end classic. HUGE BONUS: When I first owned this ; I went noseblind to it. Now it follows me all over the house .

Waste of money. Buy Perfume Parlours extrait concentration clone of this, it's called Magnificent VII and it's probably my favourite fragrance of all time. Not the original m7 It's better than the original. It's 2025, blind buy Magnificent VII and you won't regret it.
