Hafez Exclusive

Very elegant scent. Nothing like hafez 1984, I think I personally prefer this to 1984. Very strong, great longevity, I'd say at least 7 hours, great projection too. It's definitely warm spicy and fresh spicy, slightly powdery. I don't necessarily get the "floral" jasmine or tuberose although I'm sure it's there just blends well to create a unique scent that the best way to describe it is elegant and classy. Not necessarily a dressed up scent. Wearing this as it dries I got some similarities to no apologies (the nassamoto pardon clone from Alexandria), which I really like, probably in the top 5 of 150+ I've sampled from Alexandria. Hafez exclusive is definitely not pardon or no apologies, but shares a similar vibe, but greener and slightly powdery. I see passion fruit listed as a note, but I don't detect that, I'm familiar with the scent of passion fruit, I bake/make pastries with passion fruit concentrate and it's very distinct. Perhaps a slight tartness in the top notes? Is attributed to the passion fruit but not sweet or fruity. I sampled this first, and had a tough time deciding when and where to wear it thinking it may be a bit challenging, although after spraying it on, it's just beautiful. I debated buying a bottle and when I finally did, every time I thought about putting it on I smell the sprayer and keep thinking, "I don't know this might be challenging to wear right now" but then once I decided to put it on, same reaction and feeling is this is such a beautifully elegant scent and makes me not really concerned about situational appropriateness, just really enjoy smelling it especially as it dries down although the opening is just as wonderful. Overall really like this one, very different from hafez 1984, I like 1984, I have a bottle of that as well although it sometimes feels a little too much with the tobacco and sweetness and can come across like a candle, for me it's not as versatile as the exclusive. Exclusive may not be very versatile for everyone, I feel like most people might consider this a dressed up scent but personally I would wear it where ever if just in the mood for it. Great scent, I waited quite a while before trying the Alexandria originals but definitely worth sampling this and some of the other Alexandria originals.

I really admire what Mr Hafez does: bringing to life discontinued gems, cloning (yes), and making his own creations. This one shows he holds his own as a perfumer. H. Exclusive is an excellent modern fragrance for men. It is strong in performance yet rounded and well-blended. No screechiness or edgy notes whatsoever. It is woody and warmed by cinnamon and slightly creamy. I’ve only smelled passionfruit in one other men’s fragrance (Halston Man) and it came across as a strong bit of tart/fruity/spicy potpourri. I get a vague similarity with this one but it’s done much better, as this accord sits back behind the woods and spices. The floral notes? Jasmine and tuberose create the smoothness and provide a hint of indolic seductiveness. Overall, this is a fine addition to my collection: it is unique and smells great. It is better for cooler weather with its warm woody profile. Longevity is really good for new fragrances these days. I’m impressed with this. Alexandria is a great house! Edit: this thing is a beast! I think it takes a lot of courage to create a fragrance as a clone, particularly if it's "better" than the original. If the original lacks projection and/or longevity, which most designer "hit's" do, the copy will be criticized as "falling short" and if it's better it will be criticized as "unlike" what's being "copied". This fragrance is better is every way and almost feels like the perfumer is saying "watch this. This is how I would have done it". I find several of AF's "clones" to do the same. I'm more pleased everyday to have found the "house" and this fragrance.

I only received a sample with my purchase of several backup bottles of brasilia prive, an amazing chypre. I am very impressed. It is along the lines of naxos, hafez 1981, pure havane, etc. I recommend trying it, even blind buying if you are seeking a sweet mass pleasing and unique scent. I am at the point where I really have to give it up to the house of Alexandria. Very good work. Don't go Creed on me, please.

Beautiful. a bit similar to Givenchy Fantasque with a floral fruity touch. if you like DG the one, you probably will like this.
