Jack. The connection is that Pres Kennedy supposedly loved vetiver fragrances...this is a clone of Creed Original Vetiver... which JFK never wore because it was made in 2004...but Creed certainly has great story about how Jack Kennedy actually wore Original Vetiver before it was... on to the review: This is excellent stuff. Unlike many vetiver fragrances, this one is neither earthy nor sharp. It is smooth as can be, with the citruses and neroli (it’s in there regardless of what the note list says) opening up. It’s bright and soapy but there is something quite silky under it all. Just a hint of sweetness foiled by the bracing greenness. The vetiver ties it all together with its grassy, classy presence. A little musky too, but the drydown has a lovely mild spice in it. Longevity is superb. Lasts all day. I originally thought this was a scent only a ‘mature’ guy could pull off, but I mistake. It’s a lovely classic that anyone could wear. Spring/Summer joy in a bottle.

I purchased this at the recommendation of DrNDJas in response to looking for a green scent. This fragrance is precisely what DrNDJas describes. I have never smelled Creed's Original Vetiver so I do not know how similar they are. However, I do own Floris No.89 and it is almost 100% the same. They both have great longevity, but I would give Jack the edge. They are both so classy and fresh smelling and people notice both. I paid $42 for 30ml of Jack and $89 for 50ml of Floris No.89, nearly the same price per ml. with Jack being slightly less in price. I like both. It is said that James Bond 007 wore Floris (never mentioned No.89) and that Ian Fleming wore Floris No.89. They could have just as well worn Jack from Alexandria Fragrances and be just as well served. I have worn a number of Alaxandria Fragrances and have liked most. This is a winner that won't disappoint.

Great imitation by Alexandria, the opening is off (it is more watery and natural opening) but after 20-30min it dries down the same only stronger. Much stronger actually, I made the mistake of doing the same 3-4 sprays I did with the OG decant and I was definitely projecting way too loud while at work (or at least I felt it was). Especially with a clean soap like scent you don't want it to be super strong, it should be that clean gentle scent bubble around you imo. It's one thing to accidentally over spray something like sauvage but at least that's a predictable smell to be strong, when it's a clean soap-like overspray it's just out of place. Not a bad thing though to have better performance, it's nice that it actually lasts a full day and better to have wear less sprays than use up more

I’ve always preferred Creed’s fresher scents, so when I heard this was similar to Original Vetiver, I knew I had to give it a try. I initially went for the 30ml bottle, but I honestly wish I’d bought a larger size. This fragrance is almost identical to Creed’s Original Vetiver, although I feel one note may be missing. That said, it still captures the essence perfectly. The sillage is solid, and it lasts at least five hours, if not longer. The compliments have been fantastic, and the scent itself is beautiful — a fresh, musky fragrance with an almost powdery dry-down, which I find glorious. I’ll definitely be buying more, and personally, I think this actually lasts longer than Creed’s version. 8/10

I agree with DrNDJas review of this excellent scent. I disagree with Alphabrahma though, this smells nothing like Floris No. 89, mainly it's missing the lavender note which is quite present in Floris No. 89 and absent from Jack. Regardless, this is a great scent that won't disappoint at all. Highly recommend it for those that like vetiver scents.

This is a fantastic clone that's well done. Very close, I'd say around 95% accurate at a fraction of the price. BTW this is a clone of the original, not the new 2024 version (that smells completely different).

This is one of the weirdest vetiver scents I've tried. Technically, I've smelt even stranger ones but those had a strong character. This one is not that strong and makes me feel like it's a kind of silvery mist vetiver, that's been accumulated on some rusty metal. But in a totally different way than Vetiver des Sables by Montale -- that one is outright rusty, painted remains of a ship wreck in a beach waiting to be taken apart completely. This Jack is kind of mild, it hides something that is difficult to understand. Both of these have the metallic part in them that asks to pay some attention. It can also be that the metallic part is actually oakmoss but it's not listed.

If you love Creed Original Vetiver (this is inspired by that) this gets very close and is a great scent on its own with better performance. It’s missing at least one note, Or perhaps they changed one but again its close. COV is still a better overall scent but not by so much that you would never wear this. I also suggest letting it sit for a little while.

Smells super close to the og and performs well also. This is not a citrusy fragrance at all imo. The citrus is way in the background, barely noticeable. The Vetiver, Iris, and Sandalwood are the star players. This is a fresh woody fragrance with backbone. The biggest difference to me between this and the og is that the og is a little more smoky.
