Luxor Summer

8/11/25 UPDATE - I still really love this fragrance, but now that I own the OG, this is a big miss. Understandably so, as clone oils can never capture the openings. Experiencing the opening of Uden, I now understand the comparisons to the Chanel fragrances - Homme and Blanche. I also now understand how Uden can be a summer fragrance. Although I now feel that Luxor Summer can not come close to the magic of Uden...I will still always own and wear it as a beautiful office fragrance for fall through spring. Still can’t go wrong buying Luxor Summer IMHO...but just know it is not Uden. OG REVIEW - I have no experience with Xerjoff Uden...so this is my first impression on just Luxor Summer. Initially off the top I do get the citrus, but not up in your face citrus splash. It is already playing with the vanilla and creaminess of sandalwood. This combo takes the lead for the duration. As it continues to dry down, the coffee and ambergris come forth adding depth. Overall, this is an extremely pleasant/safe fragrance. Would be great for almost all occasions. This is a warm DNA...suitable for Fall and Spring. I think it could hang in Winter’s colder months if you didn’t want to go Spicebomb Extreme on people. Definitely would be a safe winter office scent. Overall, I’m happy with it. I plan on purchasing a decant of Xerjoff’s Uden to see how well AF cloned it.

My review for this is based on a decant sampler. I never tried Uden so I can't compare but I find this to be a pleasant, citrus, creamy, semi powdery scent with a slight coffee note. Don't know why people are saying it smells like creamed corn, but fragrance is subjective and in my case I don't find that at all. I would rate this as far as overall scent and performance, a solid 4.20 out of 5. Sample first as it might not be your thing, but IMO it doesn't deserve the low rating it currently has. As far as occasion, this is definitely a night scent, casual to semi formal, and season would be fall/winter, this is not a warm season scent, but you can get away with in on spring nights. Edit: decided to get the 10 ml, personally out of the 30 or so alexandria decants I have sampled this is easily top 10 for me. Good quality and good longevity and projection, but you must like powdery fragrances (like armani code or NR bleu noir parfum). BTW this is NOT a summer scent, more fall and winter IMO. Edit 2: I got my hands on Uden and Uden overdose and to my nose at least Luxor is closer to Uden overdose than the original. Not a direct clone, but I would say around 80-85%. I really do like what Luxor summer does even if the name doesn't suit it (nothing summer about it).

Citrus, lemon and sugar. Kind of smells like a Lemon Head candy turned into perfume at the opening. On dry down, the sweetness resolves and the coffee becomes more evident. It takes on a smell that slightly resembles straw. It is pleasant, but a like not a love, mostly because it is somewhat boring. Good performance.

A bit more citrus than coffee and vanilla which is a surprise. It's in the category of ok or meh or office friendly. That's ok as every company needs this type of scent and it's executed well,just not my cup of tea.

This is one of Alexandria’s misses It smells vaguely of creamed corn. You know, that sweet corn with a texture like runny oatmeal? Yes, that. The drydown gets a little better, but I’m not getting much of anything from the note pyramid. Maybe the coffee, but that just makes it smell like you burned the creamed corn on the saucepan. Though the drydown is better, it’s an unfortunate attempt. I’ll just move on from my sample and enjoy their better offerings.
