Monaliza

I blew through my 5ml sample so fast that I ordered the 30ml bottle of Monaliza. I have a decant of POAL to compare and to my nose and on my skin, it's a dead ringer. Monaliza is an incense bomb on me, just like POAL is. I can smell all of the notes listed, the only thing that isn't stand out for me is the patchouli, on both perfumes. I LOVE Monaliza, I get 8+ hours of heavy scent....only 2 hours with POAL. I wear it almost daily...I can afford to. I get lots of compliments and oddly have noticed I'm sleeping better? I was talking to a friend and she said it's probably the incense. Mark me down as a huge fan !

Great scent by Alexandria, the quality of the composition is undeniable, compared side to side, hany's clearly recomposed the classic, with a sharply rose in the front, next to a healthy dose of clove, on the original, the clove dissipates fast, leading to a nice patchouli oud kind of enticing but a classic one for sure. A five star creation, Alexandria is doing great releases as of today, not to be missed.

Monaliza Alexandria Fragrances I was given a partial 30ml of this, maybe left 20ml and perhaps it went through some oxidisation. It does smell very Turkish rose. Granny's rose. Kinda Tea Rose. I compared it with the og POAL and POAL is not so aged, Monliza seems to suit more aged individuals. It's strong and Loud and comes across as more aggressive. POAL definitely the easier better wear.

Opened up a very slightly fruity rose. Then it all too soon blended into patchouli-led patchouli rose incense combo. The rose and the incense were so weak this could well be a patchouli perfume and not a rose perfume. Lol. But then again I got almost the same result with POAL, so it’s a close enough clone. Wish AF has made the rose shined a little more. Edit. The scent passed the twelve hours mark on clothing with some silage left. On skin it ladred only about five hrs.

Musky rose in the dry down. I DIG IT!

I tried to find the beauty in this scent, and simply cannot. Its almost like vicks vapor rub and rose water. 1/10

Mostly a rose + patchouli, I don't even get a hint of incense. 4/10

smells like a moist towel/baby wipe kind of thing!

This is my 5th Alexandria. I have never smelled Portrait of a Lady, but from the hundreds of reviews I've read--I'm gonna say , this may not be an exact dupe. This is a simple, straight forward "spicy musky rose" and to me , it's Cartier Declaration via un Soir Intense on Steriods meets Narciso Rodriguez (sorta). This gets the "Uni-Sex" stamp of approval from me, but be warned that I'm a "gender bender" by nature ; I'm doing this for my brothers in the Men's Forum on here. I have only had this on for 30 minutes and I can already tell that this is gonna give me "monster-beast" longevity. SUMMERY: workable, strong spicy rose with not too much this or not too much that. If you're a patchouli hater, I really detect little or none here. Blind Buy safe. It's a nice smell that many will like.

Travel spray from Alexandria Fragrances Purchased Summer of '25- plenty of time to oxidize and mellow... smells like if cherry flavored medicine was a scent accord and was used to perfume some variety of fuel. The experience provides a sense of synthetic oudh based incense except it's now more synthetic and as powerful and gritty as a terminator. I suppose there will be more at AF for those that love this, bc I'm not going to buy this again. Unfortunate situation bc the AF Tomcat scent i bought at the same time is beautiful. 🥲Can't love em all🤷🏾

Not a great clone but Portrait is a tough act to top to be fair. It is similar in some ways, it has the rose, raspberry and patchouli accords in the opening. The drydown however lacks any incense that comes out beautifully in the original. Silage is decent, not like the original which is a projection monste, and longevity on the skin is good. This is an okay clone to get whilst saving up to buy the original, but get the original, it's a gem.

Smells exactly like the original, at least in the opening and for the first hour. I didn't keep track after that. Longevity is monstrous. I sprayed it on my neck at 10am and could still get wafts of it at 7PM. Huge projection in the first 1-2 hours, then it reduces to twice an arms length. Sillage is also good for the first hour, then it is soft. Very good buy, considering it is ~1/3rd the price.

Intial spray, it reminds me of furniture polish, but as it settles it does smell alike to POAL, its a strong rose followed by pstchouli and clove, its not one of hanys best clones but it is pleasant after a while, I can imagine POAL is a very hard fragrance to clone, malle has created a masterpiece. 6/10

I found this one a bit spicier up top, but after 30-40 minutes was probably 90 - 95% POAL on my skin. Longevity was much better as well, which I find is often the case with Alexandria fragrances.

Disappointed! I received this in a swap and I’ve only sampled POAL once but I can clearly remember how beautiful it was. This however smells like cheap perfume you buy in the Middle East for 5$.

Good but not as good as I was hoping, especially given that other AF fragrances are very good clones. This one has way more clove / spices than POAL.
