Omertà

I'm on the same boat as some other reviewers here. I'm definitely not a fan of Tobacco Vanille but adore this fragrance. TV smells like powdered baby wipes to me overall which may or may not be a hot take, however this fragrance smells extremely elegant. To my nose I get a nice warm cinnamon like spice paired with tobacco, woody notes, and a very light and soft vanilla that dances on my nose. It is very simple and linear but smells amazing. The notes here are high quality and refined, smelling very clean to my nose even though tobacco can be quite intense at times depending on where it's sourced from. Most definitely bottle worthy and I'd give it a 8.9/10 personally!

Opened with a sourish spicy whiskey mixed with tobacco. Slowly blended with vanilla and oud. On skin I got a vanilla oud blend while on clothing I got a spicy tobacco oud blend. Good silage and over ten hrs on skin and over twelve on clothing. Not too much like TF Tobacco Vanille since while tobacco was strong, whiskey was also strong, and when vanilla was strong, oud was already there. When tobacco and vanilla were on equal terms, it was obviously too dry and spicy and less sweet to be compared to TFTV. To me this is a different scent.

I didn't realize what I was buying here.. I purchased forbidden plum and omerta 😆 both Tom Ford's. Anyway, smokey, vanilla. Alot of depth, not a typical vanilla scent. I knew I smelled something similar before but couldn't quite pin it. The performance is BEASTLY. lasts 15 hours easily on clothes, and 8 hours easily on skin. It is LOUD too for almost 3 hours, then turns into a sillage monster. This stuff is crazy good, well worth it. Not AS perfect as TFTV but like 80% similar.

Lighter than most other tobacco scents, and definitely more herbal than sweet--I'm not really getting any vanilla at all. The notes create a hay-like accord for me, which is unexpected but not unpleasant. This is definitely more subtle than I usually like my tobacco fragrances to be, but it would be great for someone who finds most tobacco/vanilla fragrances too cloying.

I dislike TF TV and like this one a lot, which says all you need about their similarity.

What I get in the opening is a little whiskey, then a woody, pipe tobacco leaf smell, like opening a woody cigar box. Not bad if you ONLY like tobacco smell

I've gone into this one as someone who does not like the particular tobacco leaf note used in Tobacco Vanille, but the note breakdown almost sounded like Tobacco Oud and not exactly a Tobacco Vanille clone so I was curious. The opening is a sparkly alcoholic drink vibe, similar to that in Roja's Enigma but with whiskey instead of Cognac. But also with a bit of a powdery vibe like you'd get from Armani Code Profumo, so I guess that's why those are in the 'Similar' section. It's a really enjoyable and soft opening for me and made this scent seem promising, but it doesn't really last very long. After a few minutes I was starting to really get a heavy dose of tobacco leaf, but in a very green way, coupled with some spices that almost gave it like a tea leaf feel to it. Was a shame the top disappeared off so quickly but I quite liked the almost photorealistic green tobacco leaf scent so I was happy with my purchase at this point and thought it was lovely. However as it continues to dry down, the tobacco leaf loses it's greenness and becomes a lot thicker and denser, and it's at this point that it becomes reminiscent of TF's Tobacco Vanille. It's the exact same tobacco leaf vibe, but with the vanilla toned right down. To me it kind of feels a bit one-dimensional at this stage. There's not much else going on but just dense tobacco. Sadly as the opening and mid only lasted about an hour or so for me and then has turned into this deep simple tobacco scent (that if I think about it, is a little bit like PdM Herod too), it's just not for me. In terms of performance it's pretty long lasting so far. I've been trying to scrub it off to no avail. In terms of performance it definitely does well although in terms of sillage it sits closer to the skin, although the sillage is enough to get on my nerves at this point as I don't really like this dry down. If you like the tobacco leaf note in Tobacco Vanille but want less vanilla and a nice effervescent opening then give Omerta a try. Otherwise, look elsewhere.

I picked up some Alexandria Fragrances as a blind buy due to their price being reasonably cheap and reading good reviews. There are not so many reviews available for this new house yet so I decided to risk it with a shipment from California to northern Europe. Could not find them in any shops in Europe and a sample delivery was not worthy. The Omerta resembles, in my humble opinion, a scent similar to Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille but much lighter in main accords. After a couple of minutes, it switches from smoky to vanilla only. Sprayed on my clothes and skin before I went for a walk. After 2-3 hours of outdoor walk, the scent was merely barely noticeable on my skin but going strong on the clothes where I got a projection of some couple of extra hours, up to 8. I do not see myself wearing this in the near future and probably use it in a rotation for indoor activities or office. Would not recommend as a blind buy. Good price alternative to TF.

I do not understand the comparisons to Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille. That fragrance smells like a cinnamon stick to me, and is overwhelmingly sweet. Omertà is less sweet, with unlit vanilla pipe tobacco balanced evenly with woody oud and whiskey. It’s my favorite tobacco fragrance for fall, and as the scent wears on, the oud becomes more prominent, yet never moldy or musty. If anything, I would compare this to Parfums de Marly Herod - not because they smell alike, but because those who enjoy Herod will likely enjoy Omertà. The oud in Omertà serves a similar function to the incense in Herod, though Omertà is drier. This was recommended to me as an alternative to sweet tobacco scents. Pipe tobacco is always a little sweet, but this is a great fragrance for those who find TV and others cloying. A beautiful original from Alexandria.

OMERTÁ... Confieso que tenía miedo adquirir está fragancia, ¿Por qué?, ya tenía SWEET SMOKE y ARABIAN HORSE que comparten las notas de tabaco y vainilla, pero un día platicando con Hany hicimos un trato y me envió OMERTÁ. Cuando llegó, mi impresión fue WOW, porque no la compre antes. Una excelente fragancia, con un tabaco crudo o verde, que está muy bien equilibrado por la vainilla y el whisky, el OUD está presente, es suave y elegante. Una fragancia totalmente masculina y versátil, no se confundan está no se parece a SWEET SMOKE (TABACO VANILLE). Va bien en otoño, invierno, primavera de día y noche, puede ser que en noches de verano la puedas usar.

The review by @tatajean is spot on. The overall scent here is quite nice (the tobacco is spicy, sweet, and un-lit, and the whisky is sharp and wet), but the longevity leaves a lot to be desired. This is surprising, coming from Alexandria, which has earned something of a reputation for producing long-lasting fragrances. The scent itself, as was already mentioned, is handled a little bit better in Tobacco Vanille and in Alexandria's clone of TV, "Sweet Smoke." The tobacco in that fragrance is deeper, richer, and the vanilla is creamier and more grounded. Overall, not a bad fragrance, but I'd rather get a full bottle of Sweet Smoke or Tobacco Vanille.

I became obsessed with this one, being the tobacco scent fan that I am. Omerta is perfectly blended. Opens up with a fresh tobacco note. Very full and vibrant yet soft. Very discernible. Then the Woody aspects of the whiskey note come out with a bit of spice. The first stages of Omerta are full on Tobacco and Whiskey, then an ever so soft vanilla comes in. It's not too sweet, if it's sweet at all. This vanilla is ever tamed by the whiskey and Woody tones and dirtied up by a non intrusive Oud note. This is a very simple piece of work but perfectly crafted. I love it!

This definitely isn't a straight-up clone of Tobacco Vanille, more of a twist on it. It has the same DNA but has a more light, almost floral element to it. Doesn't feel as heavy and syrupy as Tobacco Vanille. I kind of prefer this honestly, but the performance isn't great.

This is very pleasant but light, you need around 6 sprays for it to project for 4/5 hours, could be a bit stronger with the vanilla to smooth it out a little but overall a nice release from Alexandria- its a very light version of tom fords tobacco vanilla 7.5/10
