Santal's Kiss

Love this fragrance. This is a sleeper on the longevity and sillage department. It doesn't seem like the kind of scent that's going to stick and really project but it's very long lasting and has enormous sillage. It's aromatic, green, fresh spicy and warm and woodsy, very delightful. This fragrance won't offend if oversprayed. I just wore this to the gym on skin and clothes, showered before swimming, showered again, then worked out and it just radiates when you heat up. Then went back in the pool and still could smell it strong on skin. Showered again then changed up and went off to do some shopping. I could still smell it on my clothes but wasn't paying attention and wasn't aware how strong it actually is until.. Now 5 hours after spraying and 2 swims 4 showers, I go up to a cashier (behind a hanging glass panel) and as she's counting the change she says "oh someone smells nice, is that you?" I had no idea what to say, because I never heard anyone ask or compliment a fragrance I was wearing but there was no one else around so it had to be this scent she was smelling. And she's right it does really smell nice. Overall I really enjoy this one every time I wear it, it's a feel good scent. Blended so nicely, every note really pulls together to make this a special fragrance.

The smell of this is very nice but it is kind of weak and doesn't last too long. It is also similar to Santal 33. But the similarity is maybe 80%. Santal 33 lasts much longer and is much stronger, also the smell itself is different. Still, I only realised this when comparing these two hand by hand, otherwise I would have thought they are the same. So as a dupe it is a bit disappointing but as a smell of its own (it is merely "inspired by" and nothing more), it is a very good one. Santal 33 is extraordinary so I have to get that one too at one point. (Many fakes are around so it looks like the only real and sure option is to pay the full price and get a discount from those shops if possible.)

This is a fantastic clone of Santal 33. I’ve tried others and didn’t find them nearly as close as this one. I compared both side by side and this one lasted longer. It doesn’t have the greatest sillage, but people have definitely smelled me close and complimented me. I asked my boyfriend to smell and he loves it. He said it smells like fresh paper. I smell the cucumber and leather at first. Then it settles into the the cedar and sandalwood leather combo. I absolutely love this scent and could wear it everyday.

I haven't smelled the original but this smells great if you like sandalwood, it also has good longevity. It has gotten even better in time, definitely a winner in my book.

I tried Santal's Kiss after being kind of underwhelmed by Santal 33, which I thought was kind of a boring, straightforward sandalwood scent (but great if you just want to smell like sandalwood). Santal's Kiss seemed to have a little more complexity, and it definitely does, but I'm just not sure that I like the cardamom/sandalwood combination. Because you can definitely smell the cardamom. If you're interested in sandalwood-heavy fragrances, it's definitely one to sample, but I don't think it's one that I'll be buying more of. I don't hate it, but I don't love it. Sillage and longevity are very good though, and to be honest, I like it a lot better after 8 hours when it's not quite as intense but I'm still getting whiffs. Though I guess if it was this subtle and soft to begin with it probably wouldn't have lasted more than a couple of hours.
