Stay Home

Genuinely one of my favorite fragrances in my entire collection, and one I reach for consistently since getting it. This fragrance is IMPRESSIVE! I'm wearing it right now actually, and I'm going to have to talk myself out of wearing it again tomorrow because I have new frags being delivered. It's fresh, green, clean, aromatic, infused with some degree of citrus, DEFINITELY masculine, and has a barbershop feel to it that I love. I just adore this fragrance. I'm actually fuckin' flabbergasted by the longevity on offer here. I really do not experience performance like this often at all, but Stay Home delivers and then tips the customer. On my skin, Stay Home remains noticeably detectable for around 6+ hours, which for me is stupidly long, especially given this sort of scent profile. It sticks to my t-shirts like it can't stand to be without them; it surprised the hell out of me last week when I grabbed a t-shirt from the closet that I had worn 4 days previously and it still clearly smelled of it around the collar where I apply. One of my favorite characteristics in any fragrance is if it can manage to give me whiffs of it throughout the day, and unfortunately few fragrances in my collection do this. Which is why I am in equal measures both pleased and baffled to report Stay Home does this better than almost any other fragrance in my collection. Believe me, I also think that is absurd, but I'll be goddamned if it isn't completely true. Honestly, seeing there be zero reviews for this compelled me to write one. This is an actual hidden gem from Alexandria and it's being slept on hard. If you're feeling adventurous, or even if you just want a great masculine fragrance, consider Stay Home. The price-to-quality ratio here is ludicrous.

I think I am going to get some hate for this, but anyway...having worn Stay Home (at home) for a few days now let me start by saying that I am a fan of Alexandria fragrances. However, this scent is underwhelming. As I mentioned in my first impression, I still feel that it is generic as well as synthetic smelling, although not entirely unpleasant. It actually reminds me of a Playboy scent I used to wear in the late 80s, and seems fitting for a teenage demographic. Great projection and longevity. However, Stay Home is aptly named because I am not sure I would wear it out. Again, it is an inoffensive, clean, green Axe-like scent - it just doesn't doesn't smack of sophistication, panache or luxury, all of which I seek in a scent. Rather overpriced for what it is.

First impression: having just received this what I am getting is a rather generic albeit pleasant, sweet, green shower gel vibe. Will be reporting back...

Haven't rated this yet since I just tried this on tester strip, but judging by the opening I am really enjoying this. It's like a cleaner, softer and more playful creed viking. The violet pops but doesn't overwhelm the fragrance, the basil adds a nice sweetness and green, and the citruses adds lift. It's a clean freshie, with an orange twist, but there's a mineral note hidden behind it giving it some character. I'm digging this, just need some time with it. Edit: the dry down is almost aldehydic, with a laundry sheet floral like scent. It's nice and soft, although I admit I do prefer the opening. The far dry down you get more aromatic touches.
