Sweet Revenge

I sampled this and this one here is delicious. At first I didn't know how to feel about it, but as it sat on my arm it grew on me. I get a booziness from this, but there are no boozy notes listed. Not alcoholic, but more of a boozy vanilla as if bourbon vanilla is an ingredient rather than plain vanilla. Not sure, but it is very sweet and delicious. Nothing too complex, but smells really good. Great for the colder months. Will be purchasing a bottle.

Very pleasant DNA. Blast of caramel upon application while the vanilla/white chocolate play in the background. As it dries down, the vanilla really comes to the forefront as the white chocolate plays a supporting role. Longevity is tremendous...projection is arms length. Easily could be unisex. Ladies around me were intrigued with it and wanted to know more about it. I like this for cozy fall/winter days...but 90% of the time I would choose a DNA like this when it has a tobacco note added. My wife LOVES this scent...on me and herself. As always, buy a sample and live with for a few days before purchase.

I like it so far, doesnt seem to project too far but it is still apparent. The opening is musky and abbrasive like golden sand by al rehab and Mk midnight shimmer. Almost sent it back because I dont need 3 of the same fragrances. The dry down is smooth and similar to escapade gourmand. It is light and airy yet still sweet like a bakery dessert. Solid 7/10 (the 1 oz bottle is ugly though) Update: it is sweet but I dont get white chocolate or caramel vibes. This scent sits very close to the skin. So close no one will smell it. Overall its meh

My 10ml sampler just dropped in the mailbox...can't wait to pick it up after work. I'm torn between this and "Italian Caramel"...one of them will win the battle and be purchased in a full-sized bottle. I can't wait to get my nose on this later!!!!!!! UPDATE: Damnit damnit damnit...this is exactly what was mentioned by other reviewers... "Al Rehab - Golden Sands"...... I should have taken the warning and not tried this one. >.< I get no caramel, no chocolate, nothing but "Amber, Mandarin Orange & Musk" from this... How in the heck does this reportedly have Chocolate and Caramel in it?? I'm honestly SERIOUSLY confused here... I already have a 3.4oz bottle of "Golden Sands" that I made from multiple little Al-Rehab bottles. I only use that stuff as a fragrance additive...I sure as heck didn't need any more....gah... Dumping this sample into the full-size bottle with the rest and counting the $25 lost. Damnit, I could have bought a backup bottle of "Ameer Al-Oud" instead of this...now I have to wait. First serious AF disappointment...

I get vanilla. I get caramel. I get a whole lot of sweetness. But somehow, it’s toasted and burnt. like a far more pleasant smelling burning sugar. I don’t know if it’s understandable what I mean... this perfume is like a really crisp piece of tempered vanilla syrup glass shaped like a scarf. Or a super crunchy piece of spun sugar. It’s interesting. It’s almost too sweet.

Sweet, and light....almost to light. Very natural smelling. White chocolate, Vanilla, and sugar. I don’t really smell any caramel. It was a safe blind buy. UPDATE : After a couple uses this lasts really long. Almost the entire day. I get whiffs of it throughout the day. 👌🏽👌🏽 8/10

(Initially!) I am loving this scent! I bought Alexandria sample vials of Sweet Revenge and Vanille Doree, and Sweet Revenge is definitely my preference between the two! It reminds me a lot of my Yves Rocher Nuit Vanilla, maybe without as much of the woody cedar note. This perfume so nice, I can't quit sniffing my wrist, and so I promptly ordered a 1oz. bottle from the online Alexandria shop :) Edit: Okay...so, 3 hours later, I am really NOT loving this scent!! I had to cancel my FB order (which Alexandria company did without any trouble). I get some weird, "off" scent after several hours from this one. What a bummer. Maybe it's just me. Update: I wanted to love this one so much I tried it again, hoping maybe my clothing mixed somehow with the perfume initially and made the scent turn. Unfortunately, after about 2 hours, blegh. Same odd smell! I am so disappointed in this because the first hour or 2, I am absolutely in love with Sweet Revenge!!! However...it could just be something personal where my skin just isn't working with this one. Don't want to tell anyone else to turn away on this one due to my experience...I ended up changing my Alexandria order to a FB of Doree Vanilla, which is quite amazing too :-) Last update! So I recently ordered Al-Rehab's Golden Sand, which I have been watching and had on my wishlist for years now...SAME SCENT! Both turn weird onmy skin a few hours in too...Overall, I would have to say, Sweet Revenge seems to be a 100% DUPE of Al-Rehab's Golden Sand...and Golden Sand costs way less! Sorry on this one, Alexandria...

I get the Golden Sand comparison. Golden Sand is better for two reasons: You can actually define better what you are smelling and it lasts longer. This should be named Sweet Something because I can't tell what i'm smelling other than its sweet and synthetic. I'm not saying any of that as a put down just describing. I use cheap or synthetic scents if they smell good to me and if they last. That brings me to the other issue. It disappeared as soon as I sprayed it.

I'm meh about this one. It is super sweet, but almost too much. It is very similar to Midnight Shimmer by Michael Kors without the bitter/nauseating factors. So, Sweet Revenge is much better than the MK. It's kind of nice when faded and blended with my skin chemistry, but someone else may like it more.
