The Run Way

I know there is a lot of controversy on Basenotes about reviewers being paid by Alexandria Fragrances to give good reviews. But I genuinely think this fragrance is a VERY good clone of the reformulated Amouage Reflection Man. I was actually hoping to get more of a vintage ARM vibe, but this is not the case. Longevity and projection is about the same as the new formulation of Reflection Man. The scent is very lineair though. While ARM goes a little bit creamy in the dry-down, The Run Way will retain the sparkly vibe from the opening. I personally prefer the sparkliness, but to each their own. While $40/30 ml or $60/60 ml might sound nice, it is still very pricey. Especially for a clone. If you pay 40% more, you get the real deal and I can image a lot of people will go for the original. When you include the shipping costs (especially to Europe), the price difference gets even smaller (30%). So if you are living outside of the USA, go for the original, because who does not want the real juice in an amazing bottle? All in all, this is a great clone. But a clone should not cost 30% less than the original. What is the point of buying a clone if you are almost paying the same price? Look at Armaf La Club de Nuit Intense. Even though the similarity with Aventus is less, you still get high quality juice for only 20% of the price. Scent: 10/10 Projection: 7/10 Sillage: 7/10 Longevity: 8/10 Versatility 9/10 Uniqueness: 2/10 Price-performance: 3/10 (Would not buy again) Total: 7/10 (Still a love for me, because they did the scent really well)

Very nice. Top notes are peppery and somewhat herby; I'd describe it more as peppercorn than red pepper but everyone's nose is different. I get a lot of alcohol upon spraying but imagine that'll calm down a bit with time. Settles into a very pleasant, floral scent with a woody/incense-y base. The best way I can describe it is like fresh smelling hair if you're familiar. Very sensual, very addicting. Unisex, but woody base notes have it leaning more masculine. Having sampled Reflection, I can say that the dry down of both are very similar with The Run Way being maybe slightly sweeter and less woodsy. This is an extrait, so the silage isn't the best, but it has good longevity. Kind of wish houses like Alexandria started producing more EDPs and EDTs rather than appealing to the "more oil concentration = better" notion. Very good fragrance either way. I can see myself wearing this year round. Not as good for the office IMO as it is for nearly every other occasion, but still very versatile.

The Run Way is a very elegant fragrance. The initial spray brings to my mind, neroli and white florals of all kinds. It is very beautiful, powdery and a slight spice of red pepper. The fragrance is long lasting, about 10 hours. The sillage starts out heavy for 3 to 6 hours, then you'll get waifs of it throughout the 10 hour longevity. I have a 1oz bottle with the wooden looking cap. If this is an example of amouage reflection man, then The Run Way is an excellent example of perfumery done right. The Run Way stands on its own merit; a wonderful, fresh, excitingly powdery, long lasting fragrance. Kudos, Alexandria Fragrances...

This smells incredibly high quality. I've never owned a bottle of reflection man so I can't comment on how they smell in comparison. This is a very luxurious and clean smelling floral fragrance. I don't know if I would consider this masculine. I think a woman could get away with wearing this. The performance of this is outstanding. It lasts 12+ hours until you take a shower. Remember to let these fragrances sit for 2 to 3 weeks when you get it. The Run Way smelled really synthetic with bad performance when I first got it and now smells completely different.

Clean, classy, fresh, pleasant, and getlemanly. To my nose this is fragrance of a guy who has his stuff together. It's hard for anyone not to like this one.It's nearly spot on with reflection man as far as scent is concerned, and I truly believe that it outperforms the newest formulation of reflection man! This just may be my newest signature scent over Sauvage edp. Check it out, I highly doubt you'll be disappointed.

Great spring floral scent. Really Really enjoy this one. Safe fragrance that's mass appealing Good clone of Reflection man. Slightly sweeter than Reflection Man and leans more towards the florals. With Reflection man you get a little more spice coming from the pink pepper giving it that extra layer that I don't really get from run way.

95% similar to Amouage Reflection doing a side by side comparison TRA lasts longer than AR (TRA after 14hours was still detectable on my arm while AR not). It’s a fragrance with good longevity but moderate sillage. I’m going to buy a full bottle of TRA and save money. If you like AR try this fragrance and thank me later.

Really enjoy this floral but woody/spicy (and a hint of earthy green) scent. It’s not floral entirely but that’s the dominant note and thought that lingers. But it has more depth to it and there is something very male to it but I cannot put my finger on what. Thoroughly enjoy day or night.

This is a beautiful, classy, long lasting, floral-woody perfume. A great companion in any weather but especially beautifully developing during summer. Along with Reflection Man it will always be special for me, envoking memories. Kos Island, Greece, July of 2021. One of a kind.

Finally, I got my bottle of Reflection. I own RunWay for a while. I can say strongly: Yes this is a good clone. As others mentioned these are not equal but very close. Great job sayyed Hany Hafez!!! 10/10 Cheers and God bless!!!

Great clone with slightly better performance than the original. I also own the popular well known clone Shiyaaka by Khadlaj and Runway blows it out the water as far as quality, longevity and closeness to the original.

They’re now coming out with a Run Way 45 cloning Reflection 45, which is even better. And more masculine.

Okay so I haven’t tried Reflection Man but I’ll say this. I was strongly interested in getting Prada L’homme I love that fragrance. But after smelling The Run Way I feel that if this is anywhere close to Reflection Man then owning Reflection Man and Prada L’homme is redundant unless you’re a collector. They don’t smell the same but they give off a similar vibe. I love the run way the opening is very good but the dry down is what’s even more amazing. So I will no longer get Prada l’homme and I’m for sure not getting reflection man. The run way and Crystal Peak from Alexandria that I got in a sample pack are bottle worthy FOR SURE. Check it out (stay away niche heads and fragrance snobs)

I like this one a lot mainly because amouage sent me a real sample of reflection man. I can honestly say that its close but not close enough. It really lacks that brightness that makes reflection man so inviting and airy. Its like its 20% darker and I dont know how else to explain that. I have the sample of reflection man on my right palm and the runway on the left and it doesnt hit the same as reflection man. That addictiveness that the original has is actually worth the price difference in my opinion. I just got it not even a week ago though so I will come back to this review in 2 months and see if it's comparable and also keep the remaining sample of the original to compare it to.

This is a gorgeous fragrance that evolves a lot over time. It starts off very earthy and spicy to me but then the woodiness starts to come out and smoothens everything up before the notes of ylang ylang, white florals and sandalwood starts to sweeten and further soften up the fragrance. It is a very unique scent profile that sits closer to the skin and is a bit more intimate compared to Alexandria'a other fragrances, but is almost difficult to describe because of how different yet alluring it is. it's classy, sweet, floral, soft, slightly effervescent and woody.

With all the Amouage fragrances I have had, I don't wear them regularly and when I do my first thought is always "is this too floral"? This is a beautiful scent, great projection and better longevity, but I keep waiting for it to "dry down" to something more masculine. It never does. I can only wear it occasionally and in specific situations, but it never feels "right". I'll likely gift it to woman someday, but I don't know that I would love it on her either.

I don't know reflection man, but this is really good on me. It's bright soapy white on opening, later it's still soapy but more florals show up with a touch of spicy woods. Very late on it becomes light florals with something sweet in the background. The first time I sprayed this I was not turned off. It was chemically. Then I washed, sprayed it again and was pleasantly surprised. I'm leaving this and interplay to sit for a few more days.

My opinion on this dupe went back and forth. It smooths out the rougher edges of the original Amouage scent, and is a beautiful sandalwood and jasmine experience. If you're curious about how close this is to the original, it's very close. I was a bit turned off initially at how soft the scent comes off, but after having it for a couple of years, I've learned to appreciate it. If you can't afford the original, this is a good alternative.

The versatile perfume par excellence. It smells mainly of white flowers and woods. I do not know reflection man but this seems to be the evolution of Le Male, more manly and more sophisticated. A real champion!

A little creamier than Reflection Man but I would say 90-95% similar.
