Dunhill British Leather: 2019 Top: Guatamalan Cardamom, Juniper, Hazelnut, Bergamot,Lemon Middle: Mate, Orange Blossom, Lavender, Pepper, Violet Leaf Bass: Leather, Cypress, Patchouli, Sandalwood Ok. . so I am a passionate FanBoy of all things Dunhill. I like that this house really knows what it is doing--in the sense of a delightful open always with a drydown and base that is seldom to be described as 'Challenging'. Depth, caress, and wisdom. Most Dunhill does not linger too terribly long. I like this so I can rotate fragrances and get fragrance off of my fabrics. I carry travel size sometimes, as well. Side Rant: I finally got it through my thick skull what 'Challenging' means. So, I get it. Not for all applications. Think before you sprink. You go out on a date and say, 'I found the date Challenging'. Oh my, don't get me started on saying stupid and snarky things about challenging. It is good manners to describe something as Challenging, I suppose. To the Point: In this case Dunhill sets the tea and bisquit on the bookmark matched, grained oak table and smacks you clean across your head. It's just a joke, alright?!! Yep. We are getting some medium-bold leather here but it settles into a delightful and natural drydown. It is kind of a wet forest floor smell crossed with Juniper. I just adore Juniper, even after battling and maybe even losing, to an entire army of them to clean out the dead branches. Winter is when Junipers smell so nice--the leaves smell different than the bark. This fragrance is more of a Juniper Bark. I was past my neck in them, and by accident fell in love with the bark after it had rained. The Cypress is present on open to add to this wonderful woody world of wicked. Wow. There seems to be a slightly wet plant/grassy essence. Is it maybe the mate or mate maybe? Hazelnut is present for sure. I put unsweetened Hazelnut essence in my coffee sometimes and I just love it. Challenging--Not for All Applications (so I learned) I think it would be wise to forward plan wearing a Leathery scent such as Dunhill British Leather. This particular Leather is more carefully cultivated than most. It is thoughtful and kind of rough-hewn, all at once. In final drydown it even has a MacEdam (asphault) quality. I don't think a really cute Girly-Girl would dig this but really--you never know do you? I mean where yah ben??!! Side Rant: Yep. A different Leather/A different Forest: Juicy Couture Majestic Forest tackles 'it' with the same direct-hit approach. The Musk does have a Leathery quality. Top tier ingredients and a ground up redesign for the Majestic Forest, and Golden Amber. These two marked I believe the 'Signature Series' or was it 'Regency'--a re-boot of sorts. Too many people joined the Snark Parade, portraying Juicy as cheap smelling or synthetic smelling. I just like it to smell good. What is this Competitive Sniffing Club?!! The Juicy Signature or was it Regency Series was presented as the very best ingredients and an all-new approach. Still, I think it has some laboratory playfulness about it and carries the impact that only synthetics can deliver. (Montale and Mancera--they really get it--I think.) In my opinion Majestic Forest may contain some synthetics. Juicy is more playful, and even aggressive in its formulation. Maybe what goes on in the forest is not so natural?? Oh, just stop. Juicy Couture Dirty English is one of my ultimate favorites with Black Leather, Peppered Musk, Atlas Cedar, Blackmoss. So, so incredible but seems to get a lousy rap. Again, medium-leather and not likely to offend. Dunhill British Leather: Buy this if you dig Leather but are maybe a bit prissy with it. A few drinks and. . .naw--just kidding. Do not wear for first impressions with people you do not know that well. For the 'Sporting Boys and Girls' that just do things differently this is wonderful. Dialing in at the slightly more than $100 (USD), you should maybe get a decant. A blind buy on this would be taking a chance unless you are a Dunhill Fanboy like me. One serious piece of info. or opinion more likely: Dunhill quietly and with great care makes the finest fragrances for gents. The finest. Sometimes getting something that makes sense and feels really good is the thing to do. British Leather. . how can it be so naughty and make such sense? I guess you never really know.

First of all, it has a bit of an animalic smell, but you can clearly feel the smell of leather. Although it was made in 2019, it evokes the smell of classic perfumes of previous decades. After ten minutes, herbal streaks will appear in it. It seems to be slightly smoky and the smell of cedar leaves can be recognized in it. At this time, I think it is a bit similar to Encre Noir by Lalique. As long as the life of the perfume passes; It will smell better. It was better that colour of the solution was very dark green. It also smells like an experienced man. The personality that this perfume instills: A person over 40 years old that is completely carefree and strong-willed. In general, the name of the perfume implies that we are only faced with a perfume with the smell of leather, but only for the first half hour, that is, until the beginning of the middle note, it has a leathery smell, and then it is no longer leathery, and it becomes a kind of dark Fougere fragrance. اولش که یکم بوی انیمالیک داره ولی بوی چرم رو هم میشه واضح حس کرد. با اینکه سال 2019 درست شده ولی بوی عطرهای کلاسیک دهه های قبل رو تا حدودی تداعی میکنه بعد از ده دقیقه رگه های گیاهی تویش ظاهر میشه. انگار یک کم دودی میشه و بوی برگ سرو رو میشه تویش تشخیص داد. در این زمان به نظرم یک مقداری شبیه به انکره نویر لالیک شده رنگ محلول بهتر بود که بجای قهوه ای رنگ، سبز تیره می بود همچین به نظرم بوی یک مرد با تجربه و جاخورده رو میده شخصیتی که این عطر به انسان القا میکنه؛ یک انسان بالای 40 سال و کاملا بی خیال و با اراده ای قوی میتونه باشه در مجموع از اسم عطر برمیاد که فقط با عطری با بوی چرم مواجه باشیم، ولی فقط نیم ساعت اول یعنی تا اوایل نت میانی بوی چرمی داره و بعدش دیگه چرمی نیست و عطری تو مایه فوژه تاریک میشه

I get some similarities with the sweet leather of Memo Italian Leather in the top, while the base has a noticeable smoky mate note, and shares strong similarities with Memo Irish Leather / Rasasi LY Ambergris Showers (arguably a bit more spicy/woody/smoky -too much?- and appealing than the latter 2). Performance on my skin is moderate, both in projection and longevity. Still, might tick the boxes for who doesn't already own one of the previously cited fragrances. That said, I would wait a bit for the price to decrease under $50 - the right price point imho - as the current pricing at discounters (~$100) is still a bit steep given a quality that stands more in the higher end of mainstream more than luxury, imho. Even if nothing new, I still think that it's an excellent blend by Pierre Negrin, and probably the best achievement of the first four fragrances issued in Dunhill's Signature Collection. This is a clean, green, spicy leather. Definitely totally masculine, and somewhat traditional. It smells of high quality, and it smooth but also aggressive in some ways. I love this stuff. I have most of the Dunhill signature collection, and this may be my favorite. I didn't initially think so, but it has me in love. No, this is not a warm, sweet, boozy, "sexy" scent. It is a strong, purposefule, confident, clean, masculine frag. Somehow the leather is scrubbed and showered, but also rich and unapologetic. The comparison to dunhill edition is somewhat accurate, but edition is fruitier up top, with oakmoss on the drydown as opposed to the British Leather which has zero sweetness and leather in the base. There is some kind of faint resemblance though. It's like British Leather is the higher end, richer, less sweet version. I like edition, but it smells cheap and thin compared to this. I love this frag.

#503 in my "Tour de Fragrance" This Dunhill line is proving impressive. The first I tried, Arabian Desert, influenced me to get decants of the rest of the line, and so far so good. I'm not ordering Agar Wood as I have many oudy scents already. I have ordered Moroccan Amber. Despite that I love this scent, the bergamot already is giving me a runny nose, so this won't be a buy for me. But for those without my allergy to bergamot (tragic as I love the scent) this British Leather scent, which is an interestingly complex leathery-woody.is a bargain. Moderate EDP longevity and projection, but adequate. Good office and formal scent. Good casual wear for cooler to cold weather. Okay date wear, not club wear. Overall versatility and a good buy at $55. And I love the heavy bottles.

In the moment I took the first spray, the warm woody bitterness with fruity undertones got me good. It is a simple, classy scent. I received two unsolicited positive comments and not knowing what the scent was, one of them said "a nice scent with lot of herbs". I think this utterance covers it quite well. I get the cypress, juniper and vetiver. Not that linear, to my nose. The scent is green, but dry and warmish. There you go...this is your office scent, family gatherings, a night out with your friends. The longevity hits the mark of 12-hours and still going. You can easily overspray it, but the scent is more close to your skin within 2 hours from applying it. Very reliable and safe, but also cosy and neat.

Excellent leather scent. You can smell the leather all the way through. Elegant, classy, smoky, spicy, fresh, even soapy and clean. The cardamon, juniper and bergamot make this very fresh in the opening, and in the middle notes, mate makes this just feel green and still fresh (while all the while smelling the leather note). The base notes with the sandalwood, vetiver and cypress, along the leather note make for a really nice dry down. Longevity is moderate on me, and projects very well within the first couple of hours, then becomes a skin scent. The spray on my bottle is good, but the cap is not, it sort of broke on the first day and it doesn't "click" to close.

Harika bir şişesi olduğunu söylemeliyim. Amnalaj, paket, renk, şişe, kapak, kutu, hepsi üzerinde çok iyi çalışılmış. Kutu yatay olsaymış tam olacakmış. Parfüm başarılı. Bilinen bir parfüm taklidi değil. Arka tarafta bir "berber parfümü" havası var ama deri-süet harika kullanılmış. Yeni neslin sevecegi bir parfüm değil. 40 yaş ve üstü için harika. Takım elbise ile tam uyumlu. Kesinlikle unisex değil, bariz bir erkek parfümü. Kalicilik makul, 4-5 saat kuvvetli ilerliyor. Sonra aslında daha güzelleşiyor ama koku zayıflıyor. Fiyat-performans harika. Zaten parfüm kötüde olsa sadece şişesi için alacağım parfümlerden.

Ill start by saying that this is my signature scent. Having broken it down, for me this is what a man should smell like - soapy to show he's clean after a shower, lavender to indicate he's been to the barber and groomed, spices to add character and well, spiciness, and leather as a show of toughness. So, not just a man, but a well put together yet still rugged man. Can wear it in all situations except for the high heat of summer, so quite versatile. Wore it a couple of weeks back with a leather jacket. Let's just say friends noticed :) I love this scent. And I don't care what anyone else says. 10/10

Just got this the other day. I really like it. Prominantly leather all the way through, alittle bit of smokiness and spice with an underlying bit of soapy clean feeling. It lasts a really long time on my skin as most leather fragrances do. This for me is in the shower proof catagory of longevity no joke, soap can't hurt British Leather. It's a good alternative to TF Tuscan Leather if you dont like the raspberry as the leather note to me smells very similar just not as loud as TFTL. British Leather is more of a gentlemanly leather than a bad boy scent.

Truly good leather concoction. Reminds me of either Yuqawam, tuscan leather , memo italian leather or ombre leather. Seems more polished than Yuqawam but nearest to memo with less sweetness a bit. Exudes luxury definitely. I love this one very much. I recommend those who love leather woody, to have this in your collection. Lasting. But projection is moderate to my experience. Anyway the bottle is very classy.

Vintage style leather scent. The perfume has high quality with good performance and projection.

British Leather is not a strong, warm leathery scent. After the initial opening, which doesn't last very long, it quickly dries down to the scent that remains for its life. It's a herby leather, more biting and slightly animalic. What came to my mind immediately was the dry down of Antaeus, although British Leather comes across as slightly more green and maybe fresher. However, British Leather does not have that wonderful, subtle rose note that Antaeus has. Also, Antaeus definitely smells higher quality. Of the brown juices in the Signature Collection I've tried so far (Egyptian Smoke, Indian Sandalwood, Arabian Desert, Moroccan Amber & British Leather), British Leather is the strongest in terms of longevity and initial projection. That said, none of them are beast mode. Since I have Antaeus and like it a lot, it would be redundant for me to get a bottle of British Leather. However I can certainly recommend it as a great fragrance. Also, if you're a guy who has tried Antaeus and found it to be a bit overwhelming but like its basic direction, you might find something more acceptable with British Leather.

I just released a review of this on my Youtube: "Rotten Rebel." In a nutshell: it's well-made and it smells good. It's a rich kind of leather with a smoky and woody quality to it. Performance is good but not great. With that said, it's not my favourite leather fragrance since it - to me - has an "old" kind of vibe to it. To me it's not a modern kind of scent. I want my leather fragrances to smell a bit more modern, or more edgy and definitely more attractive. Most people around you will think it smells good, but not a lot of people around you will go "WOW" when they smell it. I think it really is more for the true leather scent lovers. For every one else, there are A LOT of other fantastic leather fragrances out there that smells way more attractive.

So far this has been the only one from this line that it's worth buying imo. It's very gentlemanly leather forward fragrance. It opens up with a blast of cardamom which reminded me Cartier Declaration in terms of the way cardamom comes up; but that settles down very fast in 5-10 minutes after spraying. In the dry down it becomes a TF Anthracite Jr to my nose. Longevity is an unfortunate like every other one I have tried from this line which is just average. At least silage is good for this one. It smells good overall. At its current lower price point it is a good buy imo.

Warm, rich, smooth, nutty/woody opening that introduces the masculine leather hit. Reminds me of Memo Paris African Leather, but with a smoother, less pungent opening. Mate/patchouli + Leather combo lends to a dry, earthy, herbal, medicinal, bitter drydown. Masculine, chest hair-raising. Unique. Not mass-pleasing, and not sexy. Likely to elicit compliments only from other men. I imagine it to be the scent of a classy, badass, seasoned hunter. I wonder if a honeyed booze accord would give it more allure and appeal.

spicy leather, very masculine....pepper and cardamom with matte and suede leather to my nose, not for the beginners surely. 40+ men will love this. has this feel of armaf black onyx and ambergris showers of rasasi la yuqawam line,longevity is OKAY, beautiful bottle presentation. the price is too high at 150 pounds for my liking. for 65 dollars this is a good buy, but not blind buy worthy.must try first 7.5/10

I realy like the scent about 30 minutes after as the dry down starts. I like that the fragrance is a little different. For the price it is great. Made in USA also. That's a plus to me.

It feels like a fragrance that aims to refine rather than reinvent, offering a modern, wearable interpretation of leather with a distinctly classic edge. Let’s see if this one wears like a perfectly cut leather jacket once it settles on skin. Opening: The opening is aromatic, leathery, and smoky. The primary notes I get are mate, leather, violet leaf, and lemon, with the mate and leather leading. The mate is green, herbal, and slightly smoky, carrying a dry, leafy character that immediately defines the tone of the fragrance. It is somewhat reminiscent of the oolong tea note found in Nishane’s Wulong Cha, as both share a tannic, tea-like quality, though the mate here is noticeably rougher and more rugged in its presentation. It also carries a very clear, almost cannabis-like nuance, which stands out early on and gives the opening an unexpected edge. The leather joins the mate with a darker, more rugged presence, leaning slightly animalic and reinforcing the overall depth. After about three to four hours, performance remains largely unchanged, maintaining both its projection and trail without any significant drop-off. As the fragrance moves into the later stages around the seven to eight hour mark, projection softens slightly to about four to five feet, while the scent trail becomes lighter but still clearly perceptible. Shortly after, around the nine to ten hour mark, the fragrance transitions into a skin scent, where it sits closer to the body but remains detectable. Overall, this is a strong-performing fragrance that maintains presence for most of its lifespan before settling more intimately toward the end. When to Wear: British Leather is best suited for fall and winter, where its smoky, aromatic depth and rugged leather character can fully develop in cooler air. It feels most at home in the evening, when the darker tones of mate and leather come across as more refined and intentional rather than overpowering. This is a fragrance that aligns well with special occasions, where its distinctiveness can stand out, and it can also work in formal settings if applied with restraint. However, its bold, smoky, and slightly animalic edge makes it less suitable for casual daytime wear, and it would likely feel too heavy and unconventional for the office. Blind Buy: British Leather is not a safe blind buy. The mate note proves more challenging than expected, with its green, slightly smoky character and that cannabis-like nuance creating an accord that will not appeal to everyone. That effect, combined with the persistent smokiness and the more rugged, slightly animalic leather, gives the fragrance a distinct personality that leans niche rather than mass-appealing. While some will appreciate that uniqueness, others may find it off-putting. For that reason, sampling first is strongly recommended to ensure the scent profile aligns with your preferences. Final Verdict: British Leather ultimately lands as a respectable but somewhat divisive entry in the lineup. I am not unfamiliar with cannabis-leaning accords, having experienced several fragrances that feature them more explicitly, but it remains a profile I do not naturally gravitate toward. Here, that green, smoky mate note sits at the forefront and, when paired with the rugged leather, creates a combination that feels slightly disjointed rather than seamlessly blended. There are moments where each element works well on its own, but together they never fully settle into a cohesive whole on my skin. It is undeniably one of the more traditionally masculine offerings in the line, leaning into darker, more assertive territory, but that same character limits its appeal for me. While I can appreciate the direction and the distinct identity it brings, it is not something I see myself reaching for or adding to my collection. یه عطر چرمی تکراری که مشابه زیاد داره چرم سبز و زمخت که به واسطه ی سرو ایجاد میشه و ترکیب اش با رایحه ی چرمی حسی مرکب از چرم و آروماتیک رو براتون یاد آور میشه. شروع جالب تری داره نسبت به درای داون. ******************* scent:6.5/10 longevity:8/10 sillage:7/10 purchase value:4.5/10 ******** overall:6.5/10

Based on the reviews, I was expecting to like this a lot more than I do. To me, the dry down leans a bit more rubbery than leathery, though perhaps my nose is not as sophisticated as others'. It's decent overall, but not quite my thing.

Nice dry down. Spicy at the beginning

Much more herbal and 70s than I expected. It has that very bitter bite like Yataghan (sans overt celery), but unfortunately lacks any kind of woody warmth, which would have served this fragrance very well. It's very one dimensional and "flat" and could seriously use some patchouli, sandalwood, or oakmoss to give it some depth. I had high hopes for this guy, especially as a fan of vintage scents, which is obviously what it's striving to be. I know I could use this successfully layered with other scents, but as a standalone, it was a waste of the little money it costs. Ps. The only thing this has in common with Ambergris Showers is that AS has a slight bitter note swimming in the background. Other than that, the two fragrances have absolutely nothing in common.

Love, love, love AgarWood and Egyptian Smoke and Amalfi Citrus from this line. Hated this one. Smells like an ashtray after a few minutes to me. Hard pass.

Am I crazy or doesn’t this smell exactly like English Leather? Less soft and powdery but same overall scent. Little too musky for me. Smells very mature.

كالكشن سيگنیچر دانهیل مدت ها است که تصمیم گرفته ام غير از ادوكلن نيش ديگر انواع دیزاینری، بجز دو سه ادوكلن که بسیار دوستشان دارم و همیشه دو سه تا بک اپ ازشان دارم رو تهیه نکنم مگر در موارد خاص كه تعريف اون ادوكلن رو زياد شنيده باشم و تم اون جز فيورت هاي من مثل چرم یا وتیور یا برخی انواع چوب باشه .روی همین موضوع بدنبال تعاريف زياد مجموعه سمپل کالکشن سیگنیچر دانهیل رو تهیه کردم .اول اشاره کنم بیشترین نمره رو از نظر من پکیجینگ بسیار زیبا و جذاب اين سمپلها می گیرد..این نظر شخصي من است .ضمن احترام بسيار زيادبه دوستداران بايد عرض كنم تمام حافظه ام از امبر را از اوهيرا و امبر روس و امبر سلطان و..... گرفته تا امبر بلند و...رو جستجو کردم و سر از امبر در موراکن امبر این مجموعه درنیاوردم.!!امبری احساس نکردم.رایحه ای بسیار معمولی. ايندين صندل وود رو نمي دونم چرا من رو یاد ادجایتی انداخت. هرچقدر فکر کردم با توجه به موقعیت خودم عربین دیزرت رو کجا می تونم بپوشم باز هم جوابی نداشتم. بریتیش لدر .به وضوح در مجموع نسبت به سه تاي ديگر یک سر و گردن بالاتر بود.هرچند باید اجازه دهید اپنینگ تند و سوخته اون بگذرد.تا به دراي داون برسد .در مجموع از برخی چرم های دیزاینری یک لول بالاتر است اما برای من به عنوان یک طرفدار جدی اکورد چرم که تجربه داشتن و بوییدن چرم های نیش را دارد خیلی اکازیون نیست و چیزی برای عرضه ندارد.تو قیمت ان دیزاینری های چرمی به اصطلاح شیک تر و با بازخورد بالاتر هستند.اما اگر دوستانی در لول دیزاینری دنبال ادوکلن چرمی دودی و قدری هم زیره ای هستند می تواند مورد توجه قرار گیرد.

On the opening you can smell bergamot weaved with a small amount of violet and soon after you get a small amount of oily leather and that's basically it. Again like the rest of the line it is very minimalistic with simple accords. It's decent but I'm not impressed with British leather especially at this price point.

British Leather its good pretty citrusy and fresh at its opening and a very sophisticated leather through mid and base i say its worth for its Artisan Accords.

Very nice scent!! for me it is a reajusted version of vintage Dunhill Edition...more leathery. Dunhill Edition with leather.
