This is a very underrated fragrance! I don't feel any creaminess in it but flowers are very prominent. I would categorize it as a flower-aromatic scent. Longevity is around 10 hours. It projects pretty good for the first three hours then sits close to skin but you can still catch the scent from time to time. All notes are blended very well. I can't detect any note in particular. It starts off fresh and gives you that somewhat citrus-aromatic vibe with some sense of green herbs with a little bit of sweetness. That's pretty much all you can feel right from the start. When the fragrance develops it's way to the heart notes you start to sense flowers. There's nothing feminine in this part. Flowers are vague and mixed pretty good with faded top notes. After a 3-4 hours mark flowers become less prominent and all you can feel is some light sweetness (not your typical modern sweetness), some woods (very light ones), and some 'wet' herbs with faint flowery aspect. Maybe it sounds strange but I would describe an overall composition as a "wet" flowery-aromatic masculine fragrance which is amazing! By 'wet' I mean, imagine yourself in a garden full of different flowers and herbs just after the rain! I think it's a great fragrance for men who work in office. For professionals who wear suit and tie. It's more for mature men - 30 years old and up. It's certainly a refined and classic scent. Nowadays, renowned brands lean on mass-market products and they don't produce anything similar to Dunhill's d and that's a pity! So get it while you can!

A delightful Dunhill. Musk, citrus, florals and woods. Totally safe to wear anytime. Longevity and silage are moderate and OK. I think the closest to this is Aramis Cool Blend - but the Dunhill shades it! This is an honest to goodness good juice.

hard to find it nowdays! a very classy scent though by dunhill a true gentelman scent by dunhill as always! Has some moods of Calvin Klein Fragrances!

This fragrance is citrusy and fruity. So nice and It has a fresh scent with no peculiarities. This is Top fragrance in Dunhill. 7.5/10

fresh, citrusy, woody, musky and a little soapy. light and masculine, for using everyday in summer. Thumb up.

With just one sniff, this fragrance warms my nose with memories. Once I was in high school and a victim of bullying. A close friend would try to lift my spirit, telling me that we’d go after them, bullies. Once in grade school, while running, I accidentally tripped on something and fell off, wounded. My mother came to aid, telling me everything would be all right. Once I was even younger and it was bedtime then. My mother was still in her office, working over the course of the night. I, being a kid who couldn’t sleep without my mom those days, was approached by my sister who told me that our mom was on her way home. Then, I closed my eyes and fell asleep. Soundly. Peculiarly, D by Alfred Dunhill reminds me of good things during times of distress. It reminds me of safety. Of serenity. Of comfort. Of courage even. While being generic is expected out of a fresh fragrance, D is an exception. There seems to be an inimitable curtain of notes in the composition, enwrapping the lavender to make it more suitable to a diverse crowd. I bought this as a blind buy from FragranceX . With no regrets. It may not be signature-worthy, but it’s great for days you need something refreshing. I have the 30-ml bottle without a sprayer, and I enjoy applying the fragrance. Which requires that I place my fingers on the bottle’s mouth and dab the juice where I feel needed. Once you are confused of which fragrance to wear or buy, D by Alfred Dunhill is a safe pick. If by chance you won’t like it, you can pass it on to a young nephew or son. Tell him it contains the water of courage or is a confidence serum topically applied. The small cylindrical bottle looks like some props from a fantasy movie set.

Lemony peppery cypress with some mint and vaguely orange scented woods in the open gives way to quite a bit of rose and lavender, making for a rather floral shift as other white florals present as accompaniment. In the base I mostly get sweet creamy sandalwood and musky cedar; if I trick my brain I get the moss and vanilla, but without notes I couldn't get them. --- much later into the dry down the moss popped up; I think it might have been a casualty to reformulation though.

This is such a nice fragrance, totally inoffensive, it's nice and clean. A great mix of mint, lemon and sandalwood, it's really well blended, not normally a huge lover of mint, but it's great here. A cracking fragrance.

Reminds me of Cartier's Roadster-there is a mint note throughout but kept dirty due to the herbal notes. It seems like an older gentleman's cologne-both this one and Roadster.

You can tell that reformulations ruined this fragrance, nowadays you can only smell the mint, very sad.

duh... nhill I don't get this one. Not bad, but very generic. I smell the rosewood and mandarain orange, & a hint of cypress in top notes, but can't pick out the jasmine. Fades so quickly, I can't quite make out the heart or base notes, even after multiple applications, with my nose next to my skin. Given to me probably 12 years ago; wouldn't have bought it for myself.

A discerning male friend of mine wore this fragrance when we were in college together. This is such a delicious men's fragrance and is light enough to be unisex... or so I think. I was wearing this and my father smelled it on me, then declared that he should have my bottle! He even put me on a semi-guilt trip - saying that women shouldn't wear a man's cologne, just to be able to steal this for himself. What can I say, my Dad always had fabulous taste! This is one of my ALL TIME FAVORITES! I love the way that this smells! It is a masterpiece! Love it! I really wish that Estee Lauder would copy the notes in this and bottle this for a woman. I love the strength of Estee Lauder fragrances and how long they last on my skin. This is a total jewel of a fragrance and could definitely be copied but tweaked to make it a woman's fragrance.

This wonderful fragrance is now sadly consigned to the dusty pages of history. I owned several bottles of this wonderful gem before is disappeared. It was the older, more successful and richer brother of Hilfiger's Tommy fragrance. It had more depth and character. Don't attempt to buy this now as the bottles available smell nothing like the original. There is no resemblance at all. I recently purchased a 5ml bottle on e bay advertised as vintage and it bears no resemblance whatsoever so be careful if trying to purchase. This was one of Dunhill's best and like many wonderful fragrances of the 80's and 90's has been replaced by the metrosexual bubble gum sweet fragrances or the umpteen blue fragrances. Very sad!

Beautiful smooth creamy floral fragrance. Has hints of old-school but everything is so reigned in that it never quite ventures into that territory. Opens with a sweet citrus and a touch of mint, then the lavender within 15 minutes the musk, tonka and vanilla kick in and it just gives you such a smooth laid back feel-good fragrance. Ideal for summer months as it's very light and sits pretty close to the skin for the duration of 3-4 hours. If you are looking for a projection monster then this isn't what you are looking for but if you are looking for something to wear after a shower and sitting back and relaxing then this should be close to top of your list. 7/10 for what it is.

smooth and clean, bordering on freshness overload. Nice scent from Dunhill, would suit a majority of age groups and also totally unisex in my opinion, (florals and musk give it a bit of flexibility). One of all the scents I've tried from this house I'd say D is a crowd-pleaser. gentle controlled sillage with decent longevity. Nice :)

Not Good, way to feminine!! Smells like A cheap synthetic, watered down version of ISESY MIYAKE. Fads out very quickly as well, no wonder it has been discontinued by Dunhill.

A truly masculine scent, but I wore this at my own risk.. if the weather gets too hot, or if you're not careful with soaps, this easily turns into a bad B.O. smell...

This has the heart of Calvin Klein Escape in it, with just a tad more feminine dry down tonit. Pretty happy with this and I get a lot of compliments.
