Icon Racing Red

First off...Great Bottle! Its fabulously iconic on its own!!...and very hard to discard once the frags gone! I found this dilemma when I used up all of my Dunhill Icon, same bottle but fashioned in a stainless steel type finish, quite a heavyweight bottle too, really thick glass, very posh, very handsome and manly a nice piece of Object d'Art! (Objay-dar) Okay, so onto the fragrance, loud alcohol burst opening, so let it evaporate for a couple of minutes to get into the initial dry down, where the bouquet really shines through with its warmth and complex dexterity. Lots of wood and earthy accords but with a refreshingly sharp hit of fruity/citrus, orange and grapefruit, rising from the heart of this warm, comforting and surprisingly alluring bouquet. Pepper is the real mainstay of this fragrance, being noticeable all throughout the entire experience. So if you love peppery frags (backed by mandarin oranges) then this one is for you! Yes its enjoyable on the wrist as I keep on smelling it and can't wait to top it up! I'd say Dunhill have crafted a niche frag here, its delicate, wafts along at its own pace, is quite intimate, durable, robust but projects softly at arms length. Sillage would be light, longevity would be 6+ hrs on skin 10+hrs on clothing.

I used to have Eros Flame, I sold it and I missed since then. I recently have this Racing Red. And I so happy with that. Scent wise is really great, really close to flame, but of course has some differences between the two quailty wise. I would say it is a twist from Flame with it is own Icon EDP dna. Really good alternative for Eros Flame.

This one is nice. It is my third favorite in the Icon line. I can see where people compare it to Eros Flame and it kinda is. It reminds me more of Mont Blanc Legend Red. nevertheless, it is a very nice fragrance. What to blind buy it? Go for it, it is a safe buy especially if you can get it at discounters.

Surprisingly lost lasting on my stubborn skin. The scent is very generic and similar to other blue fragrances, but still very nice.

I just received this in the mail, sprayed it on, and I'm perplexed. This smells like a lot of different scents in one, namely I get Eros Flame, Spicebomb, and weirdly enough Armani Code Colonia. It's very pleasant to my nose, like a tribrid of a fruit, pepper and zest. I can see this being listed as generic by some, but I don't mind it. The original Racing is very bubble gym fresh, and that's one of my most complimented. This is a decent change of pace for Dunhill Icon. I would say that this isn't a summer fragrance, though, more geared to transitional months like spring and fall. Overall, I'm surprised and satisfied considering it was $37 on FN.

As others have said, this is Eros/Eros Flame all the way down. That said, it’s a great fragrance if you like this DNA. It smells good and the performance is fantastic. I happen to love this DNA and don’t mind redundancy for frags I wear all the time, plus I love the Icon presentation so this earned a spot in my collection. This is cheap at discounters now so it’s definitely a value as the other Icons are. I’m happy with it, but if you already have Eros Flame and don’t like redundant bottles, then this might not be your bag. I’d also recommend trying Eros Flame first.

Underrated fragrance. Dixieland comment is spot on. This is suprisingly green in the opening. Basically fresher, greener and less sweet take on Eros Flame DNA, no mint here and green opening in icon is reminiscent of green chinotto in Eros flame. Flame is much more intense and pungent, icon Red can be easily worn in summer. Lattafa blue sapphire did something very similar to regular Eros, where sapphire is fresher and less sweet take on Eros with minty opening.

Very nice but fairly generic blue scent. Similar to Ralph Club EDP but more youthful. My skin is usually very hard work with fragrances, but this fragrance has very long lasting performance. For the price it's excellent, and I've received compliments while wearing it.

Dunhill Racing Red is a nice fragrance. It's citrusy sweet and woody. I don't get much else. It's a bit airy and while it does resemble VE Flame, it is not as strong. It's refreshing and nice one to wear on spring and summer days.

Masculine. Sweet citrus and pepper. An Eros Flame without vanilla, chinotto and patchouli. Less sweet and projection but longer lasting than Eros Flame. 8h++ while Eros Flame less than 7h on my skin. Suitable for all time.

Fresher, brighter, greener, crisper quasi-Eros DNA. No idea why this one got crapped on by most people. Certainly not groundbreaking, but a nice take on that profile.

Simply put, this is Dunhill's take on the Eros DNA. It's good but redundant if you have Eros.

Nice fragrance. It smells very similar to the original ICON (the silver one).

I can see why this is already at discounters for super cheap. Grabbed the 30ml bottle and I'm glad I did. I don't ever see myself even finishing that much. Not a fan of Eros and even though I've only smelt Eros on every other basic bastard and I'm not familiar with it's intricacies, this is very very similar. Never smelt the flame version but to me it's close enough to the original Eros to make racing red a MEH for me. Was hoping it was closer to xeryus rouge as one reviewer mentioned but I don't get that. Performance is average at best. Unless you are a big fan of Eros line and this happens to be way cheaper than go for it, otherwise this isn't that great. 4/10 Update This was also reminding me of something else and now I remember, it's also close to Original Penguin for Men just with less musk.

Very strange fragrance. I was sure I smelled something similar before and when I got home, it got to me. This smells similar to Givenchy Xeryus Rouge. But without the Pimento note, the 'waxy feel' and a tad sweeter. I can image people out there like this, but this is not for me. Update: Performance is out of this world. Sprayed one tiny spray on my wrist. Two days and two showers later, I could still detect it on my skin.

Beautiful smell..but weak performance

Bought it for $62. Not worth it. Citrus/Powdery from amber/Basic I get VE Flame notes in opening. Few minutes after fading to powdery less citrus smell. I put Adidas Pure Game for testing with this for quality and price. ✅For the quality i can say Dunhill win. ❌ Performance Adidas EDT win. Stay longer fresh notes. ❌Price Adidas Win. Way too pricier for this kind performance. Tip- Add cheap fragrance for your list so you can compare the perfume quality with them. 6/10 for overall Don’t blind buy. Regret for buying.

Fresh citrusy woods, not in the bitter, realistic oily niche style but rather in the clear, mild sweet tone that is common to many designers. A cousin of Dunhill Extreme in character and development. Highly wearable and surprisingly well-executed, even if rather derivative. The new Icon Racing flankers do not make much marketing sense, there is no common thread joining them.

this is a very citrusy fragrance mix with peppery smell, it's a very generic male perfume, very safety and doesn't make you nausea. a safety blind buy i think.

Mandarin orange at the opening reminds me eros flame. With moderat projection. Nice frag try it dude!!
