Cuban Tobacco

This was my first cologne I've ever purchased. This was a blind buy.I was interested in buying a tobacco honey fragrance and stumbled upon guerlain on neiman marcus.com. After researching it people were complaining about its longevity,so I went down the tobacco honey rabbit hole and found alghabra which peaked my interest since it wasn't some designer brand but had really positive reviews. I ordered it on fragrance.net. This fragrance really set the precedent for longevity and strength. At first it smells like a honey,vanilla and floral mix which was cool but the dry down is where the magic happens , you get the tobacco and the smokiness. The tobacco overpowers the smokiness but in a good way , it is kind of a sharp scent which is awesome. I would do two sprays on the neck only, in the summertime when I would sweat the tobacco would permeate the air which I knew was strong since I could smell it. The scent was so strong you can sniff the hole on the bottle and it lights up your nostrils with that sweet honey and sharp tobacco. I received many compliments from women they said it had a sweet smell and men would ask me what I was wearing. People said it left a trail or that they could smell me coming. I purchased a 2ml sampler of jamaican tobacco from scent split.com to see if it was better than cuban tobacco. I prefer cuban tobacco , jamaican tobacco has almost the same scent but has the incense and smokiness that appear in the dry down which is strong but isn't to my liking.I have yet to try peruvian tobacco but will be ordering a sampler soon to compare all 3 and find which full bottle I will be purchasing next. Buy cuban tobacco you will not be disappointed.

Got a bottle from luckyscent.com don't know if anywhere else is going to have it available. I tried to get it from their website but it seemed sold out I guess. Anyways, it was an immediate love. Sometimes Alghabra scents can come across a little chemical. In a huge fan of the brand though. Some of my loves are labyrinth of spices and poems of demas. The brand to me is super long lasting as all are extraits and very fairly priced for what you are getting. Now for Cuban tobacco. It's exactly what it says it is. To me it's a Cuban cigar before you smoke it. With all those delicious honey and vanilla accords that come through in the Cuban tobacco leaf. I love the idea of this in a fancy suit at a fancy restaurant. It lasts forever and projects very well. I hope this isn't that limited, maybe I should buy another fb to keep just in case. B-E-A-Utiful!!! For me, begins wispy jasmine floral and sweet wood. Instant love. On my skin, this is a sweet scent with the overall experience being a sort of sea salt, maple syrup, toasted vanilla vibe. It is faintly smokey, but only close-up on the skin. The scent surrounds me wherever I go and smells so delicious it makes me hungry for dessert. The regular price is a bit much, but I got a great holiday deal ($142 on BeautyLiv) so could not pass it up. I love it.

This is a dark chocolate version of Herod but better blended. Dark Herod with the projection of Carlisle. I love it.

This stuff smells exactly like Tabac from Maison Alhambra!

This perfume reminds me of Hermes Ambre Narguilles. Both last a really long time on skin. I have both and like them although to my nose they are redundant. Still it keeps the Alghabra tradition of long lasting perfumes. It is an extrait so a little is enough for surrounding yourself in a cloud of sweet tobacco. The packaging of this perfume is a bit of an overkill. The bottle is classy.

This smells incredibly similar to Tobacolor to me. Solid dupe.

#1301 in my "Tour de Fragrance" I agree Alghabra was trying to replicate Dior's "Tobacolor", a really mild tobacco gourmand, which would make sense if they did it at a lower price, which they didn't. The entire Dior "Prive" collection is fabulous, but not fabulous enough that I want to spend $5000 to own them all. Fortunately, there are passable and low cost clones of "Tobacolor" and, "Ispahan." As with Tobacolor I don't get much tobacco from this scent. I think it was intended to be a very mild gourmand scent for women. In any case Maison Alhambra cloned the Dior with their "Tabac" which goes for $25, so paying $330 for this would just be idiotic. But really, all these scents barely have a wisp of tobacco to them. And it you really want tobacco, Mancera Red Tobacco Intense is the way to go. This scent is too feminine leaning for me, but still unisex. Solid quality, car pool, elevator and small office safe. A year rounder. Gourmands are not business wear for me, but rather date scents. More evening than day wear. I already have the Alhambra "Tabac" and never wear it, so I'll pass on this one.

Very well done, tobacco heavy scent. Not overly sweet or dependent on spices like other tobaccos. I really don’t get any resemblance to Black Phantom, as I don’t really detect any cocoa note. I also don’t get any resemblance to Tobacolor either. However to the person who said this smells like Ambre Narguille...COVID test kits are still available.

The opening is a little ashy to me like Carlisle or Red Tobacco, but I agree with the other reviewers: the dry down is indistinguishable (to my nose) from Tabacolor/Tabac. It's not as peachy as Tabac, but the DNA is the same to me. It's not bad at all. I am a big fan of Tabacolor/Tabac. I would just see no point in owning more than 1 of those 3.

Got a sample of this from Luckyscent. This smells absolutely nothing like Tobacolor. It is dark, dense, powerful and has very little sweetness. The notes that you’ll smell out of this are the tobacco, vanilla, woods and sea salt. You won’t pick up any of the orange or mojito, at least I didn’t.

This is virtually identical to Christian Dior’s Tobacolor. I own both, and the differences are minimal or almost nonexistent. I unfortunately got this as a blind buy, or else there’s really no reason to own both. Not a bad perfume by any means, just redundant if you already own Tobacolor.

This has nothing to do with Ambre Narguile. This is a legit thick, dense, dark, tobacco leaf with a touch of chocolate. It's well done, but not really my kind of composition style. This is done in a black phantom sort of way, but you will get your money's worth in the tobacco department.

How can this be a dupe/clone of Tobacolor, when this was released 3 years before Tobacolor?
