Acadia

Beautiful conifer and bay leaf-spiced marine cologne. I’m not getting any smoke at all on my thin and dry-leaning skin (yes I moisturize), but yes to a soaped-up leather with oceanside evergreens. Atmospheric, original, a nice buy for brave soul whose heart lives by the sea. Masc lean- unisex, but will compliment masculine presentation or a very worldly woman. Unfortunately very short longevity, maybe an hour or two.

I think Alkemia handles marine notes better than almost any perfume company I can think of. It's not like a candle or an essential oil, it works as a perfume and is well blended. Really leather + forest forward, but the notes used to convey the sea are really beautiful, it really reminds me of Michigan's lakes without taking it in a non-wearable direction. 7.5/10

A really nice, smoky, piney marine scent. I definitely get a bit of leather or char towards the end. Starts off a bit strong on me but dries down subtle. Very much smells like home.

Smells just like Maine, its namesake--piney, brackish. Not even a hint of smoke to my nose.

This is an unusual, unexpected, and unique fragrance. There must be some unlisted notes for this particular fragrance. I was expecting something green, slightly balsamic, and maybe a little salty. I'm really not getting those things. Instead, I get a projecting smooth leathery scent, almost but not quite with smoke in the background. I do get a little hint of balsam from the balsam fir. Everything is well-blended. Instead of getting the scent of the coast and the forest, I'm getting more of a forest with campfires vibe from this.

Piney, fresh aquatic, a little leathery yes but also a bit smokey. I always struggle to pair the fresh and aquatic elements to an oil, I like my freshies in a more aquatic form however here it's really more about the fir and wood. Smokey and yes a bit leathery in a way. Very unique!

I agree with AHeartLikeMine; this is straight leather on me. I’m enjoying the sample but won’t be getting a bottle of it; I prefer Bottega Veneta for leather. For leather lovers though, I’d recommend Acadia for sure.
