Aeria

My favourite of the Alkemia perfume oils so far (I’ve only tried a few though). I love that these oils try to think outside the box and tell a story. This is a subtle close to skin scent with a waxy floral and mild aldehyde vibe. I can just get a sense of the pretty lily of the valley before it slips illusively away. I find overall that these perfume oils don’t tend to have the same pronounced note structure that perfume sprays have - so it all sort of blends together in a generally harmonious but fairly linear accord. There is a slight green element to this that reminds me a bit of a branch snapped from a fresh sapling tree (though I can’t see that listed in the notes). It reminds me a bit of the scent of a dewy, Spring meadow that had had a love affair with a dimly lit, “new age” store that sells candles, incense and meditation oils. Overall this is a very relaxing and engrossing scent. The longevity is great. The silage is very low key - so it’s best applied liberally, layered or worn just for you to smell.

I really love this one, it's light and springy, fresh from the grapefruit blossom and aldehydes and the Japanese musk helps it to float lightly around you. If you liked Japanese musk from The Body Shop, give this one a try. There's a similar vibe, but this is lighter and fresher.

This one is a pass for me, too light, a bit green a bit airy, easily forgotten. 4/10
