Blackberry Noir

At first I only "liked" my sample. Smelled kind of like a really strong and bitter cup of blackberry tea. I knew with oils they sometimes need to settle, so that is what I did! A year later after completely forgetting about it... it stumbled back into my life and WOW!!!! Bitterness gone. Sweet, juicy and almost coying blackberry extract. The tea grounds it. Smells sexy on it's own! Totally fun to layer this with other scents! Any scents you just wish had that extra blackberry magic? BAM! Love it!!!! Lasts all day on the skin. I feel so playful and juicy with this on.

Freshly picked blackberries at the peak of ripeness, gently crushed to release the juice, both sweet and tart. Slightly bitter black tea in the background with just the slightest hint of musk. A voluptuous fragrance of late summer harvest.

Out of my 6 sample bottles, this is my favorite. Very juicy Blackberry. I only smell the black tea note very slightly, along with the Musk. Sillage & longevity is good. Just gorgeous for dark fruit lovers. 🖤💜🖤

Very strong, bitter black tea. Slight musk. Blackberry incense sticks. Soap. The soapy note ruins this for me. Overall, it has a sort of headshop-potpourri vibe. Maybe it needs to age more? I've heard that oils are supposed to do that, but I'm pretty new to perfume oils. It's really just giving me an incense and shampoo vibe right now. I don't hate it, but it seems a little off. It goes through a stage for awhile where I really start to get cat pee and soap, so I'm thinking there might be blackcurrant in it? Or maybe that's just the blackberry element, because the Body Shop Blackberry bath products did the same thing. Edit: The faded drydown of this is a really spot-on musk incense stick. Like, I'm smelling some of the incense and sniffing my wrist and it's the same. It's not unpleasant. The tea note at the beginning is nice, but the bitter, acridness of it I don't think mixes well. I really like tea smells, but I think I'd rather have it as a separate scent.

This beauty opens sharply with juicy, tart blackberries and their green leaves. As it begins to dry you get the bitterness of the black tea. Once completely dried it melds into the skin as this beautiful, succulent mesh of musky berries and bitter tea. On my skin it almost has a sweet, smoky incensy vibe to it. I would put it in the same family as Dior's Poison, but nicer. Very dark, thick and sexy. Personified, this perfume would be an elegant, raven haired woman in a long, black velvet gown. As she sits down at the bar she clutches a glass of merlot with her blackened violet colored nails. She crosses her legs and her fishnet stockings and glossy, black high heels peek from beneath her gown. She's dark and elegant, but with an edge.
