Divine Goddess Musk

Feb 2019 I got this one from a giveaway a couple of years back, and it ended up going into the drawer where I keep my other oils, samples, decants, and minis. I didn't even think about it really until I recently started thinking about making another Alkemia order, and I thought I'd give it another wear and write a better review. This is a fairly strong musk. I took only one drop and rubbed it into my forearm, and on the skin it has excellent projection. There is a sweet edge at the beginning, but the sharper musk cuts through. It also has a "clean" feel to it as do many white musks. This scent is more sweet and complex from arms length. It is warm and sensual and really quite feminine. Closer, it's strong and a bit soapy, but still quite appealing both ways. This oil would be really nice for layering, so I've added it to this month's tray for that precise reason. After about 20 minutes, the spice comes through quite strongly. I'm surprised there's not more listed, but I think Sharra wanted the wearer to think of it really as a single essence, and it is blended quite well. For those who like a nice cozy, sexy musk, this would be an excellent buy. And if you like to layer, this is a lovely musk for just that purpose. I'm very glad I have this one! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - June 2017 This is quite nice. It's a mellow and smooth musk with a bit of spice and a touch of sharpness when I sniff closely. Not my favorite such musk, but lovely for layering or for a clean, cozy occasion.

Definitely similar to several Egyptian musk blends I have tried throughout the years. There are so many musk types, but this one is in the "sweet/clean, shower/lemon laundry detergent" category. My chemistry projects a sweet musk with a slightly soapy lemon edge that I enjoy. People around me comment on how clean and delicious I smell like. A simple scent that can't possibly offend anyone. I agree with the previous review on laying potential- this pairs lovely with fresh floral and fruity fragrances. Lasts 8-10 hours as a clean, sweet skin musk. I faintly smell a whiff of lemon freshness after 12 hours. A solid like!
