Evil Temptress

Review after letting sit for two days:. From the notes I expected this to land somewhere between original Opium and Poison, though the reviews below lowered my expectations. I blind bought the extrait rollerball because the notes were too tempting to resist, and I'm not sorry. I applied this last night in small dabs behind each ear and inside each elbow, and I can still smell it in my elbows and get whiffs of it in the breeze fourteen hours later, and am loving every second of it. For the first several hours after application, I could not stop sniffing myself and didn't have to reach as it projected beautifully. I expected something more spicy and exotic, but got a delicious brandied pear with caramel and freshly grated nutmeg (I guess tonka + honey? Not sure I care, it smelled heavenly) dessert which remained juicy and warm for hours. Over time fluffy carnations and friendly rose petals joined in and the spice profile grew increasingly complex. Patchouli can over perform on my skin so I feared the scent would turn dry with patch and hay and leather. This didn't happen by the time I went to bed (four hours in) and since I woke up those notes are present but remain fresh and smooth as cashmeran and the sweetness is tempered. What is left is reminiscent of the original Poison but very refined and natural and not over applied, It's beautiful. The name Evil Temptress is kind of funny now because while this is absolutely tempting and luscious, the only evil it evokes is crimes against my diet. That's not to say it wouldn't do some black magic in a dating context, but I don't see how it would be possible to deploy it as a weapon without falling victim to it yourself. It's far more naughty than evil, and I'm not mad because it is delicious and fun and evokes giggly good times. I wish I had tried Viva LA Juicy or the Fendi and could add something to that conversation, but I have nothing to reference this to other than the delicious Poison drydown. If you've ever shared an extremely delicious dessert with an extremely delicious person in a joint bubble bath, yeah, it smells like that. Otherwise, it smells like eating an extremely delicious dessert in a bubble bath and not having to share. Edit to add:. I didn't get the masculine opening, it went straight into dessert. Given the timing it's possible that I got a new batch or that I got the same batch just more aged. Or maybe I just can't smell whatever others smelled?

Just like everyone else already mentioned, it has an ever so slightly masculine opening that I personally find VERY appealing, but it dries down to a sweet, delicious scent. To me, the most prominent notes are saffron, pear and tonka bean. I absolutely love it, but indeed, the duration is lacking a bit, at least with the EDP formula. I'm not sure if the Ultime would last longer. I don't personally find the similitude between it and Viva La Juicy, I think they're veeery different, and I honestly like this one much better over VLJ. Delicious, all in all. I don't reach out for it as often as other scents from this same house but it's definitely a beautiful one.

I think Alkemia introduced Evil Temptress and All the Sins around the same time. I remember purchasing them together anyway. And they are both by far my top two favorite Alkemia scents of all time (well maybe top three along with Les Mysteres)! Whereas All the Sins has more of a fluffy, girly sweetness, Evil Temptress is deep, dark, and sensuous. It has a slightly masculine edge, but it is still feminine enough to make me happy (And I usually like my perfumes on the sweet and feminine side). I like to wear this when I’m feeling especially edgy and “evil” lol.

Okay, this is weird I know, but I'm getting a whiff of freshly cut pineapple from this. Mostly it is a lovely spicy carnation with booze and leather - but on my skin at least, there's this touch of pineapple that I can't help but pick up. Not that there's anything wrong with that - I actually love it - but it's not listed in the notes. This is definitely a sexy frag. She's a temptress, but not really evil at all.

On me, this one wavers between sweet foodie, and wicked incense. My husband loves it. It's a definite date night powerhouse. It's too intense and heady for everyday for me. It's one of the first alkemia scents I got, and wow what an introduction.

I honestly love this. This perfume really does smell like something from the Tom Ford Private Blend line. It’s complex, darkly floral, and insanely gorgeous. I am so impressed. This is one of my eternal favorites from Alkemia.

At first this smells like it's supposed to - sweet, spicey caramel with florals. It smells slightly masculine at first, but then it starts to smell like a girly department store perfume - I get where people are getting Viva La Juicy and LVEB from. Then it's gone in less than an hour, it seems I'm not the only one let down by the longevity. If it wasn't for the weak longevity, I would FS this in a heartbeat. I was so excited to try this because I like the picture they used. I heard the ultime is different though.

This opens as a fair dupe for Viva la Juicy I think. Peppery floral caramel. Pear adds juiciness. The yummy leather deepens it nicely. But as it dries down it becomes less like Viva la Juicy as an Alkemian spiciness comes out. I like this, but I agree that the longevity isn't great—I find that fruity-floral notes just don't last well in natural perfumery. Rather than trying to wear this as a perfume I would mix it into body oil or something.

This is fantastic! Beautiful carnation spiced with pink pepper and cinnamon. The smooth leather and rich cognac are masculine notes, but Evil Temptress is all woman. A real femme fatale fragrance! Sexy and alluring. Love it!

Smells like a more masculine "freshie" to me and then dries down a little sweeter before disappearing completely. Does not even seem to last 30 min on me, but during those 30 min it's a pleasant enough smell.

It’s not for me. The cashmere is too much and it vaguely reminds me of my deceased British grandparents. That being said, it would probably work better for someone 20 years older.

this starts off smelling a bit masculine and ozone-y with spices. i think i get pepper, cognac and cashmeran maybe? a couple minutes later the ozone/spiciness dies down a bit and now i’m getting spicy florals and some of the sweeter tonka and caramel notes. it ends up smelling like walking though a department store perfume section with the department store scent in the background! that part intrigues me the most...not sure where it could be coming from, but that's exactly what it smells like. i suspect it's the leather and cashmeran though. i don't find this to be a dark/evil scent at all, which is what i was hoping for!

extremely leather forward and cashmere forward— i get sharp, masculine florals in the opening. definitely the least “seductive” of the Sensual Seductions sampler— imo.

I LOVE the names of Alkemia, picked this one out of the to be sampled jar based on that. It is nice, lots of cinnamon, getting carnation (not my fave) and vanilla / tonka. Was hoping for more of the pear and booze, what I do get like with many alkemias is a big waxy sweet candle oil like smell, which is really nice but I do find it a very repetitive element of Alkemia Perfumes which eventually always put me off buying anything from there. Enjoying the nuances of the candle oils though through the samples. ** 200 + samples for swap UK including many alkemias - many on custom shelves & 100 or so more so ask - 10+ bundles only **

Glad I sampled this instead of blind-buying. It is fairly complex and I really get the carnation coming through, along with other florals. Unfortunately I don't perceive this as being particularly spicy or sensual however-it's a bit "dark" but still a clean floral that I while I find pleasant and easy to wear, isn't what I'm looking for when I see something named Evil Temptress. I always have fun trying out Alkemia's products at least, even if they're not something I'd want a full size of-they all have an undercurrent of witchiness no matter the note pyramid.

smells pretty perfume-y at the opening, like a spicier La Vie Est Belle, nice, not amazing, clean patchouli smell - the caramel and pear really remind me of LVEB, but this is not quite as saccharine because of the spices
