Feuillemort

This is quite a heavy scent, best for feeling cosy and luxurious I think rather than green or fresh, which are the top listed accords. That said, I love it. It feels like drinking a spicy chai tea in an autumnal forest, next to the remains of a fire in which you were burning some fragrant woods. It also makes me feel a bit like an old lady in a heavy fur coat, which might sound unrelated but it’s deep and incense-y and has a vague feeling of decay. I don’t know, it’s a very specific mood, but I really like it.

Have you ever walked in the woods in fall when the leaves are all orange and lovely? The sun is golden warm but the earth is crisp with first frost? This scent is what I imagine fall fairies would smell like if they were hiding out behind the trees. It's a lovely earthy fall scent for people who want to carry the forest with them.

Kind of has an aquatic feel to it. Woody and a bit spicy underneath it all. Like all Alkemia Perfumes, it's enchanting and it's charms are enhanced by the poetry and imagery Alkemia provides for each fragrance. "And so I wander through the shadows still, And look and listen with a rapt delight, Pausing again and yet again at will To drink the elusive beauty of the night, Until my soul is filled, as some deep cup, That with divine enchantment is brimmed up." - Lucy Maud Montgomery (1916) I like this a lot but I don't think it's super wearable on me. It really does conjure the image of fallen dry leaves, dirty slightly wet earth, grassy and a bit smokey. It's interesting and maybe would work really well on a man, but on me it's kind of the closest I've experienced to a "candle" scent from Alkemia. Overall, for fall lovers, I would recommend. 6.5/10

I smell mostly wood, spice, and rum notes. With some subtle smoky and balsamic notes in the background. I think I can smell the borneol, there's a hint of something camphor-ish in there. Everything else is blended in together and I can't pick out the remaining notes individually. It's a nice classic Oriental genre fragrance with a bit of an autumnal feel to it. Unisex but leaning masculine. My husband loves it. I like it too, it's one we can share and enjoy together.

Definitely an autumn fragrance. I get spiced apple cider in a log cabin.
