Haunted & Bewitched

haunted & bewitched is an absolutely gorgeous and feminine fragrance. ♡ it is a feminine, ambery, and peppery fragrance that is also very sweet due to the notes of jasmine and vanilla. this fragrance is a dupe for tocca's cleopatra. i compared this fragrance to tocca's cleopatra and it smells slightly sweeter and "younger" but more or less the same. the overall vibe of this perfume is middle eastern, it smells very oriental and regal. it smells like something a princess would wear. if you have ever seen game of thrones, it reminds me of khaleesi from season 1 -- it has that earthy but sweet, feminine, powerful, and strong vibe to it that is hard to describe. the name of this fragrance perfectly matches the scent inside -- it smells like something a sorceress or psychic would wear. i am also getting notes of incense in this fragrance as well which contributes to the middle eastern feel of this. it also reminds me of karma by lush ever so slightly... it's like if karma by lush had a long-lost older sister. it's probably because they both have notes of fresh patchouli. this fragrance is beautiful but you must be a fan of oriental and incense-like scents. it's also extremely sweet and has notes of caramel. gourmand, but also floral and spicy. i absolutely adore this fragrance and it's one of the best from alkemia. ♡💌

if it weren't for the fact it causes me to break out into a rash on application i would wear this a lot more than i do; as it stands i put it on the ends of my hair and pair it with another scent (usually a straight patchouli,) which lasts literally until i shower. for the price point, you definitely get your money's worth because a little goes a long way. i can see why people rank this more as a winter scent, but it doesn't grow sour with sweat either, so if you can pull it off in warmer weather then by all means try it.

It’s delicious, mysterious, sexy, yet playful. I don’t get the red lollipop comparisons. When I first smelled this it reminded me very much of a candle store during Halloween season. After settling in room temperature for a couple days it smells much more pleasant. Dries down very nicely on my skin and seems to last a long time. Perfect for fall but honestly I would wear this scent during any season.

Another amazingly well-blended perfume by Alkemia!! Warm, sexy amber and floral (I get roses) drying down to a creamy, almost milky vanilla. Fans of gourmand would absolutely love this! Great projection as well. This is a very complex floral gourmand. Another perfume that smells like something Tom Ford would create. This will make you salivate ^^

Starts off with a strong pepper note, all the whole being sweet, warm, and delicious. Dries down to a soft, rosy caramel. This is feminine and beautiful. Not too edgy-- just spicy enough for my taste. It brings to mind autumn leaves and cashmere sweaters. I have the oil and may purchase the EDP spray.

I get rich chewy caramels & rum punch, but somehow it’s not super gourmand. Sooooo warm & sexy though, like genuinely intoxicating. Extremely unique and not at all what I was expecting

Smelling this right out of the bottle I was so utterly disappointed with this scent. Straight from the oil sample it smells more like a very sweet, cloying candy scent. It has some of my favorite note combinations of all times so I was worried about being let down. On skin it started off as a very candied jasmine/caramel scent, not my ideal. However over time, it sits so beautifully. It evens out to a warm, sweet and soft spicy scent sitting on the legs of vanilla/patchouli making it almost creamy. There's something still kind of missing for me to really Love it. But I'm impressed with how long it's stayed present on my skin and how delicious it smells over the course of a few hours. Right now it's a sweet 7/10, but layered with something I can imagine it hitting a 10.

I totally get the red lollipop comparison. It's a candy gourmand for sure. But more complex than the usual sugar based fragrance. I'm normally not a fan of gourmands and from the description I expected more of an oriental fragrance. I like it though. It's interesting, I keep smelling my wrist.

This is pleasant enough but reminds me of walking into a Lush store. Warm, ambery, slightly spicy. There is something very clean about it too, like expensive soap/shampoo.

I’m not sure why, but it smells like Christmas to me. More specifically, straight up snickerdoodle cookies. Very warm and gourmand. It’s nice and I don’t mind it at all. However, it reminds me too much of a Christmas candle and I don’t think it’s something I would reach for.

My old sample doesn't seem to have held up very well. This is a week, slightly sweet burnt sugar perfume oil that really is easy to forget you're wearing. 4.5/10

this smells so much like straight bubblegum in the vial, i'm terrified to put it on. edit (1/6/2021): this is the epitome of sophisticated sweetness and has become one of my favorites. i'm so glad i overcame my fear, haha.

it smells so so nice. it’s the perfect balance between sweet and gourmand and mature. it gives me a straight winter vibe. i think it’s perfect for gourmand lovers who want to also smell mature.

This fragrance is making out with someone who is wearing carmex lip balm and has just eaten a dozen turkish delights and caramel candies. I mean that in a good way lol.

To me, this smells like a red lollipop. It's my favorite scent from Alkemia. And I don't typically like rose scents.
